Chapter 17
(Normal Pov)
Natsu sat in his apartment watching TV while stroking his blue cat that is curled into his lap. Natsu tries to pay attention to the screen in front of him but he can't seem to get his mind off the recent fight with his beloved. He reaches to the right to grab the remote and turns off the TV.
(Natsu's Pov)
I close my eyes and lean my head back. I go over the fight in my head a couple of times before my eyes shoot open.
"Is this fight even my fault?" I whisper to myself. "I didn't make the girls come over to me."
Still stroking my unique purring cat, I pounder for a bit more.
'I think Luce and I should talk about this for a bit. I mean, she needs to understand that it wasn't my fault.' I thought to myself.
I place Happy on a pillow beside me and get up. I put my shoes on and head out the door, to Lucy's apartment. It feels like just another day of me sneaking into her apartment. I smile a little when the thought of the blonde creeps into in my mind. I love that girl and thinks she's really smart and all, but this time round I feel that she's overreacting a bit about the fight.
I keep walking, staring at the cobblestone below my feet. Kicking a rock every so often.
I get to the apartment and make my way up the window that I normally go through. I try to open it but it's locked.
'She really doesn't want to see me, huh?' I sigh.
I search my pockets, before taking a seat on the windowsill. I find a handkerchief, a pen and some gum. I chew on the gum whilst jotting down a note on the handkerchief.
Once I'm done I jump off the window grab a rock, get back up to the window and put my message under the rock. I knock on the window and jump back down.
(Lucy's Pov)
I hear someone at my window. I know it's Natsu, but I don't think I want to face him just yet. I listen to him movements; he jumps down, then gets back up on the window, knocks on the window and then jumps back down.
'What the hell is he doing?' I ask myself, walking to my room.
On my windowsill is a rock and something underneath it. I unlock my window and take the mysterious object that I found out was a hanky. When I grab it, it unfolds and shows a message.
The message is:
Hi Luce,
I wanted to talk to you about this fight like normal couples do and talk this through. I know you 'broke up' with me but if you don't come see me I will just presume that it's over. I will be waiting at Strauss Café, at 8:00pm. I hope to see you there…
Love Natsu x
I look over to the clock. 7:30pm.
'I'll think about it. I'm not sure if I'm ready to talk yet…'
I then notice the strong, familiar smell radiating off the piece of material in my hand. I bring the hanky to my nose, close my eyes and take in a deep breath of the cinnamon and fire wood smell.
'Natsu…' I thought to myself.
(Normal Pov)
Lucy thought for a while about the situation before finally deciding to head to Natsu. She grabbed her coat and boots. Before heading out to Strauss Café.
Lucy was utterly lost in thought on her way to the café. Not even realising that she arrived.
The chime of the bell on the door went off as she went in. The sound woke the blonde out of her trance and back to reality.
She looked around for any sight of her pink haired lover, but nothing. She went over to a waitress and asked, "Hi, have you seen a pink haired man, with tan skin?"
The waitress titled her head to the side for a second before she answered, "Yeah, I saw him, but he left around an hour and a half ago. He seemed really distressed."
Lucy's eyes widen. She looked down at her wristwatch to see that it was in fact 9:36. She must have been so out of it at home and walking here that she didn't notice how much time had passed.
Lucy's world seemed to be crashing down at that moment. Lucy thanked the waitress before dashing out of the café, desperate to get home.
'What have I done?'
(Lucy's Pov)
Once I got home I go to a corner of my room and curled up into a ball. I cry like never before.
"What have I done?!" I sob, "I'm such an idiot. I wish we never had this fight, argg, I'm so annoyed!"
I get up at throw one of my pillows at the window.
"I don't want it to be over; I don't want it to end this way! My precious dragon is gone!" I scream, tears rolling down my face.
I go back to my corner and curl up again. Tears won't stop streaming down my face. I swear I have enough tears to fill the ocean. My heart is burning inside my chest and the lump in my throat feels like it is becoming tighter by the minute.
'I'm a terrible person,' I whispered to myself, whist placing my head into my arms.
(Normal Pov, with Natsu)
Natsu was walking back to his house. He kicked a stone every so often. Natsu had his head facing down with his hair covering eyes. Natsu's normal fiery spirit had been completely extinguished, leaving a glum pink haired moron. Natsu was like this the whole walk home.
(Natsu's Pov)
I walk through the door, slam it shut and stare at the ground for a second. My left arm rises up and I punch the wall beside me, leaving a gaping whole. I walk further into the house and then go on a rampage. I fling the couch up leaving it on its back, throw around the pillows and kick that used to sit in front of the couch, to the other side of the room. I pant for a bit before letting out a roar. I'm so angry and frustrated.
"She rejected me," I yell. "Goddamit!"
I kick the nearest wall to me, leaving another dent in my house.
"How could it be over? Maybe she really meant it when she 'broke up' with me that day," I grunt, my hand sliding down my face.
"It wasn't even my fault the day we 'broke up'," I mutter, whilst backing up against the wall and sliding down it.
"What will I do?" I sigh, placing my hand over my face.
I really hoped you liked it! My writers block is gone (thank god). Sorry for any mistakes. It should be ok but just in case.
Look forward for next weekends chapter!
Pretty please review!
