Seeing Beca and Jesse and the youngest two of their six kids trundling in the driveway on Michael's ride on lawnmower (with Rosie, Ben, Dean and Natalie trailing after them, laughing and shouting the whole while) was not what Chloe Beale expected, that Saturday afternoon.

"Oh my God!" Tom broke into a grin, as Beca waved her hand around excitedly. "I told you so!"

"Aunt Chloe!" Courtney launched herself at the redhead, Chloe barely having time to catch her, before she burst into excited chatter. "Mummy's-"

"Mummy's engaged!" Natalie laughed, hugging Tom.

"I told you so!" Tom hugged his niece, pointing over her shoulder at his wife.

"Daddy asked Beca to marry him!" Dean enthused, throwing his arms around Donald. Benji lifted both Rosie and Brody into his arms, hugging them tight.

"I'm gonna be a flower girl!"

After the initial excitement wore off, the kids disappeared into the living room, Donald lifting down one of Chloe's many board games for them to play. As they sprawled on the carpet playing Candy Land, the adults popped a bottle of champagne in celebration of the newest engagement.

"To Beca and Jesse!" Chloe held up her glass and they all clinked theirs together.

"Straight out of an eighties movie", Donald chuckled, taking a sip, and Jesse nodded, putting an arm around Beca.

"More than one eighties movie, actually".

(She was marrying the biggest movie nerd in history.)

"It was literally something out of an eighties movie", Beca grinned; her cheeks flushed pink from excitement.

(Where had this girl come from?)

"I am so happy for you!"

"Whose idea was it to have a joint engagement and housewarming party?" Beca grumbled, as she shoved a tray into the oven. "Rosie! Did you put all the drinks in the other fridge?"

"Ben did!"

"Can one of you please come in here so I can do your hair?"

"Go and do their hair", Jesse said gently, taking the tray off her. "I tried but Courtney started to scream".

"I'd scream too if you took a comb to my head".

Jesse frowned. "Hey! I can learn how to braid!"

"Mummy, are you gonna do my hair?" Courtney checked from the doorway. "Or Jesse?"

"Me, baby".

"Okay, good".

"Hey!" Jesse protested, and Dean laughed. "Okay, I'm a boys' father. But I could learn how to do hair, Courtney!"

"Not practicin' on me", she grumbled slightly, as Beca gently combed out her tangles.

"I like your dress!" Stacie complimented Rosie, as the little girl swung open the door to the house, grinning cheerily.

"Thank you!" she twirled around. "Courtney and Natalie have ones like this, but a bit different".

"Cool!"

"Hey there Shortie McGee!" Fat Amy greeted, and Rosie frowned at her. "Sorry Ro, but you're not going to grow any taller than your mother".

"Thanks, Aunt Amy", she said huffily, stepping aside to let them into the house, laughing.

"Now Becs", Fat Amy announced, strolling towards her. "I'm going to have to go and pick up your present, because it was too big to bring right away".

"Good Lord", Beca said, her eyes widening. "Fat Amy, you didn't have to-"

"I know I didn't have to, Becs, I wanted to. Anyway, Stacie and Cynthia Rose are going to come with me to get it, but when we get back, I think the kids should open it".

"Any ideas?" Jesse murmured, and Beca shook her head.

"I don't even want to know".

"What kind of present, Aunt Amy?" Brody questioned.

(In the last week, Brody had added 'aunt' in front of the girls' names and Beca loved it. Courtney had done the same to the boys' 'uncles' and the first time Benji had heard it he had almost cried.)

"A super special surprise present, Brody", she informed him, and Brody grinned, running off to find his partner in crime.

"Courtney! Aunt Amy got us a super special surprise present!"

"What kind?"

"I dunno-"

"It's called a SURPRISE!" Ben bellowed.

"So when is the wedding?" Chloe wanted to know, taking a sip of her wine and leaning against the counter.

"Absolutely no idea", Beca said honestly. "We're getting all the kids birthdays out of the way before we start properly planning anything".

"Any plans?"

"Not really, maid of honour". Beca's eyes twinkled and Chloe threw down her wine glass to embrace her tiny friend in a tight hug. "Oof- oh my God, Chloe, boob space! Chloe, release!"

"We got you the best engagement gift ever", Fat Amy announced, as Cynthia Rose and Stacie carried in a huge box.

"Good God", Beca said in alarm, and Jesse's eyes widened.

"Kids, get your little flat butts over here", Fat Amy instructed, and the six kids eyed each other warily. "Come on!"

Courtney was the first one to move, and Brody followed excitedly, Ben moving quickly behind him (just in case).

"What is it, Aunt Amy?"

"Natalie, Dean, want to do the honours?" Fat Amy checked.

"Yeah!"

And Dean lifted the lid off the box, Natalie peeking inside.

To be met with the wagging tail and bright eyes of an eight week old puppy.

"A dog?" Beca's jaw dropped, and her eyes shone.

"You got us a dog?" Jesse could barely formulate the words.

"You're welcome!" Fat Amy said with a grin, as Natalie shrieked with laughter, holding the puppy in her arms.

"It's so cute!" Beca crooned, and Chloe could barely believe her ears.

"Sweet Jesus, we have a dog". Jesse's eyes couldn't have possibly grown any wider, as Fat Amy whooped in excitement.

"What's his name, Aunt Amy?" Courtney wanted to know, as the puppy licked her face and made her giggle.

"He doesn't have a name", Fat Amy told them, and Dean stood up in excitement.

"Let's call him Sheldon!"

"No", Courtney shook her head.

"I've got a good name for him!" Ben shrieked. "Let's call him Lionel".

"That's a dumb name!" Natalie interjected. "Frank".

"And Frank isn't a dumb name?" Rosie said incredulously.

"Rafiki!" Courtney shrieked in excitement. "Rafiki, guys!"

"Yeah, let's call him Rafiki!" Brody was quick to agree with his partner in crime, but there was a unanimous shout from the other four kids.

"No!"

"Oh, sweet Jesus". Beca shook her head, as the arguing started again.

"Guys! GUYS!" Jesse bellowed over the top of the bickering six. "You guys don't have to fight over a name because Beca and I have already picked one!"

"You have?" Stacie looked at them in confusion (because Chloe hadn't told them, she could tell by the surprised look on the redhead's face, and how the hell had they found out?), to find the same look on Beca's face.

(So Beca hadn't known.)

"Excuse me?"

"Bender". And Jesse's face broke into an ear to ear grin at the look on Beca's face, a mixture of horror and disgust and amusement.

"No!"

"His name is Bender!" and Jesse knelt down, calling the puppy. "Come here, Bender! Aw, look at him, Bec! He loves it!"

"We have enough B names", Rosie protested.

"Thanks Ro, good girl", Beca praised.

"What's one more?" Jesse countered, as he scooped the puppy up in one arm and Courtney in the other. "Beca, Ben, Brody, Bender!"

"Bender!" Brody laughed, and Beca lifted him up, dean scrambling closer.
