Rosalie's eyes fluttered open hazily. She looked around the room, but all she saw was darkness. The young Hale wanted to touch her forehead and ease the sharp and sudden headache that overcame her conscious. Panic soon fell over her at the sudden feeling of ropes binding her to a metal chair. Her hands were uncomfortably tied behind the chair. She moved her lips to speak, but felt a sticky tape forcing her mouth closed. Murmurs could be heard around the room, and she could only assume everyone else was in the same predicament.
Duct tape forced the five friends into silence. Her eyes were covered by a blindfold. And they all fought to speak, but only muffled noises came out. Alice's whimpering filled the room followed by Jasper's grunts. The blindfold soaked up all of the tears that struggled to push itself out of Alice's eyes.
At the sound of feet hitting against the ground, they all knew who was coming. Everyone silenced as the door flew open. Loud groans filled the room as their duct tape soon started to get ripped off. Alice cleared her throat, "What…What's going on?!" Alice's ears perked up at the sound of feet moving around within the room.
"Why are we here?!" Jasper shouted once the tape was ripped off of his mouth, "Why are you doing this?!"
Emmett grunted uncomfortably, "Let us go."
"Please," Rose whispered.
"Where are we? I can't see anything!" Riley struggled against the ropes tied extra tightly around his wrists.
Renesme didn't utter a word or make a sound. She enjoyed hearing them beg and moan. She had to plead her entire life to ungrateful rich kids, and now the privileged kids were begging to her. Karma had a funny of showing up.
"What's the price?" Riley cleared his throat as he continued to tussle with the ties, "How much do you want?"
She had no intention of speaking, but his question forced her to respond. "What's the price," she repeated angrily, "That's all rich kids seem to care about! Money! What if there is no price? What do you do then?"
"Everyone has a price, just untie us and we'll discuss one."
Alice nodded at Riley's words, "Take the blindfold off of us. We already saw your faces."
No response followed. Renesme looked from Riley and towards Alice. She couldn't help but smile at the young defenseless Brandon. Who did she think she was? Who was she to make demands? Renesme glanced at the door to see Bella waving her over, "See you guys later," She laughed, exiting the storage room.
Bella closed the door behind Renesme and followed her up the stairs. Jacob stood waiting at the top for some type of update, "How's Rosalie?" He glanced over Bella's shoulder and towards Renesme.
"Your little crush," She growled, grabbing onto his upper arm, "needs to stop. It will never happen!"
"I don't have a crush on her."
She rolled her eyes at his obvious lie. His like for her is more of an obsession. His feelings were well beyond the normal feelings of a crush. His infatuation was dangerous. Renesme needed to protect Jacob's heart. She refused to allow for Rosalie to ruin it. She couldn't even understand why he liked her so much. In the beginning, he couldn't stand to be near her. He didn't even like to hear her name. Jacob would always insult her, whether it be her intelligence or how she acts. Renesme didn't know what changed.
Edward mindlessly played with his lighter, "How are they?"
"They're getting restless," She shrugged in response, taking a seat next to him on the couch, "Alice is already making demands."
Edward smiled as he rose to his feet. He waved for Jacob and Bella to follow him down the stairs. He left Renesme upstairs to observe their surroundings and make sure no unexpected visitors decided to show up. At the sound of the storage door opening, Emmett spoke, "What's going on? What's happening?"
All he received was silence. Alice could sense someone standing in front of her. She could feel someone's eyes piercing into her soul. Heat followed the stare. The flame from the lighter closed in on her. It was mere inches from her face. She could see the hazy outline of the hot flame.
"Stop it!" Alice shrieked, immediately turning her head away from the flame, "What are you doing?! Please stop!"
"Leave her alone," Emmett struggled against his restraints, "You better hope I don't get out of here!"
Jasper angrily bit down onto his bottom lip, "Stop!" He hated not being able to help his girlfriend. He continued to hear her struggle and squirm, "You're so dead!
Edward smirked as Bella laughed to herself. He lifted the lighter and lit her cigarette. The flame left Alice's face and caused for her to calm down. Alice could feel the heat from the lighter come back as Edward leaned it forward. Her whimpers filled the stuffy space once again, as she leaned her head back and away from the flame.
Rosalie kicked her legs forward in an attempt to help her friend. She didn't want to hear Alice suffering at the hands of these crazed psychos. "Just stop it!" Rosalie hollered, accidentally kicking Bella in the leg, "We haven't done anything!"
As a pain shot across her thigh, she glanced down at the sore spot. She instantly approached Rosalie and shot her hand across the girl's already sore face. At the sound of hand to face contact, Emmett struggled harder against his ties, "When I get out of here, I'm going to kill you." He blew steam through his nostrils.
Jasper worriedly whispered, "Rose?" He didn't know what happened because he couldn't see. All he could do was guess, "Are you okay? Please take our blindfolds off."
Jacob left once he noticed the red imprint of a hand on the young Hale's face. He didn't want to watch the scene any further. At the sight of a shaking Alice, worried Jasper and an extremely quiet Riley, Edward knew that he was done for the moment. He waved for Bella to follow him out of the storage room, "It's time to give their parents a phone call."
"I hope they don't pay you a dime." Jasper spat.
"For your sake, you better hope they do." Bella remarked, shutting the door behind her.
Bella followed her boyfriend up the stairs. While a little part of her knew this was wrong, a bigger part of her knew it was for a good cause. Elizabeth was their only incentive. She didn't deserve to get sick. It wasn't fair that she couldn't get the right medication because she couldn't afford it. And it really wasn't fair for her to be evicted from the only home she's known for years in order to pay some of her medical bills. None of it was fair. The unfairness of it is what pushed Bella forward.
"I have Jasper's cell phone." Edward informed, pulling it out of his pocket, "Let's dial Mr. Hale."
-Tiffany.
