At first the Bandicoot's were hesitant to eat the food, and even Aku Aku was until Atlas and Tettra grabbed a few and started to eat them. Upon seeing that there was no side effects on them the others joined in and after a while Tettra spoke knowing that everyone was probably worried on how Crash had been able to cook all the food so well. "I know this might come back to haunt me but Crash how did you learn to cook so well in just such a short time after meeting me?"
Everyone looked at the Bandicoot as he looked around the table with his mouth full of pancakes and after he swallowed it all he spoke in his unintelligible gibberish. "Tettra do you really understand what he is saying?" Atlas leaned in close to her and whispered while he spoke and keeping his eyes on the Bandicoot. "Sort of Atlas I only been here for a total of about three days and I picked up on a few things he said." She also whispered while keeping eye's on the Bandicoot as he took another plate full of food and somehow managed to stuff it all in his mouth.
"You watched a cooking episode and was able to replicate it?" Everyone in the room didn't believe Crash and he looked around eye's darting from side to side as he did. Atlas being a trained assassin was able to get something off of Crash without him or anyone else noticing that he did so. "Yeah he did replicate it… by having it constantly playing on this in a constant loop." Atlas held up the Ipod he had taken from Crash with the headphones still connected to it and they led right to Crash where the earbuds were now visible.
At that everyone looked at Crash who scratched the back of his head sheepishly at the sudden exposure. It was still a good meal and after everyone had their fill they went back to work, Coco dragged Tettra back into the basement though. Tettra's eye's were like that of a wild animal looking for any means of escape and after they were gone Atlas spoke to the ancient witchdoctor. "I sure hope Coco doesn't plan on keeping her down there for to long. Else she might just threaten to blow up the whole house or hold a gun to her head and pull the trigger."
He leaned back in the chair and Aku Aku looked at him than toward the basement door, than looking at him again the tiki mask quickly rushed toward the basement door. Atlas shook his head before heading out the front door to do some training to try and remaster his other form. Upon Aku Aku reaching the basement Tettra was on her laptop typing away trying to think of a good story to send to her publisher. Coco was working on her machine in one last attempt to get it right before testing it. The witchdoctor floated just out of sight making sure that nothing went wrong just in case and to be able to jump in in case it did.
After a few minutes Coco put the finishing touches on her machine and Tettra finished what she was writing on her laptop. "Well Tettra it's time to test this thing, and there is no way your going to back out of this, this time." Coco smiled as Tettra quickly removed all of her valuable stuff from her possession, which was her jacket and laptop. Than she walked over and let Coco put the helmet on her and after a bit fiddling to put it on Tettra did the same to Coco. "I sure hope you got it this time Coco, for I really don't want to be stuck in your body... no offense."
"No problem Tettra, and I also feel the same way so that's why I have a reverse feature on it just in case something along that line did happen." With that Coco flipped the switch and the machine started up with a whirring sound before finally starting. At first nothing happened, but when Coco was about to throw the switch back to the off position an electric surge happened. Both girls were shocked by it and their bodies both froze as electricity passed threw them. There as an explosion in the basement of the house and the three boys outside could feel the shock as the ground shook.
Atlas rushed inside and quickly made way to the basement where he arrived just in time to see the machine and helmets that Coco built break apart. Coco still in her body coughed up some smoke before speaking. "I should have had Atlas check it before activating it." With that she fell down on the floor with her body still twitching due to the shock that was put on her body. Tettra was not that well either and spoke after doing the same thing Coco did. "Yeah... you think?" With that Tettra fell over but she fell into Atlas arms as he prevented her from hitting the ground. "Why is it I have the feeling that I've seen this somewhere before?"
With that Atlas carried both Coco and Tettra up to their rooms and put them in bed before going back down to get Tettra's jacket. Aku Aku made sure the girls were alright before leaving to investigate the basement which sustained the most damage due to the explosion. "Don't worry Aku I already checked and there is no chance of the house falling down. As for the explosion itself, Coco forgot that she was trying to pull the experiment between herself and a human." Atlas walked up the stairs to put the Jacket in Tettra's room before coming back down to a waiting tiki mask.
"That's not what I'm worried about. I'm worried that there might be a second explosion or the floor down there will give way to an unexplored cavern." Atlas shook his head before going outside to see what damage had happened to the outside of the house. As for Crash he was still asleep in the grass not caring about what just happened. All the while Crunch was holding up a huge rock that had fell and nearly bounced into their house. "I heard of heavy sleeping before, but come on even I couldn't sleep threw an explosion. Wake up you fool and come help me!"
No reaction came from Crash who was not even reacting to some of the bigger rocks hitting him or anything. Atlas though came and in one signal effort he had taken the boulder from Crunch and had thrown it far into the ocean before going to do the same to the smaller ones. Of course when he threw the bigger boulder into the ocean a small pebble the size of a bead fell off and hit Crash in the head. That made the Bandicoot jump up with his hands in fists ready to fight anything that made the first move against him.
"Wow all those boulders hitting you and you react to a small pebble hitting you in the head?" Atlas shook his head as he dropped kicked a rock the size of a soccer ball out toward the sea. It broke in half mid way out and went kerplunk upon making contact with the water causing two small waves to form. Of course the big boulder he threw didn't hit the water but kept going until it slammed into the side of Cortex's castle of all places. But he and Uka Uka weren't there, instead they were toward the crater of an active volcano due to the latter messing up the location he wanted to go to.
As Atlas, Crash, and Crunch removed the boulders outside Tettra and Coco were getting up with a bad headache. Tettra instinctively grabbed her coat that was on the chair next to her bed and left to observe the chaos that was created by the explosion. She went and walked out of her room, toward stairs leading down to the kitchen and living room. When she did there came a loud crashing sound from the basement and Aku Aku came up from it. "There is nothing to worry about, the floor just gave way to an unexplored cavern underneath the house because of a secondary explosion."
Upon that Tettra went and grabbed a bottle of aspirin from one of her coat pockets and then a bottle of water from the other. She was use to getting hurt though so the amount of medicine she had to take was half a bottle of the whole thing. But at times she did have a slight urge to take more but somehow she was able to resist it and put the bottle away. This time though she only took one pill from the bottle so not to worry the ancient tiki mask and used her skill over mojo to heal her the rest of the way. "Why… why is it every time I use mojo to help me I seem to taste nuts of all things. I don't even like nut's, yet I always taste it when I use my skills of healing."
Tettra spoke to herself as she went and walked out the door, while a concerned Aku Aku floated just behind her. The boys outside were having fun getting rid of the rocks that fell thanks to the explosions so they never noticed Tettra walk over to the waterfall. As for Coco the Bandicoot was watching some TV from the comfort of her bed as she rested from being electrocuted by her invention. With nothing on though Coco turned it off and took out a journal she had for keeping inventions in that could be helpful later.
By now Tettra was resting on a boulder meditating to regain her strength that was lost due to being hurt. She was also low on her mojo reserves and needed a recharge before anything decided to attack them. But Crash being… well, Crash had decided to go swimming and was splashing water all around as he swam in the pond. This made it hard for Tetra to concentrate and as such she was filling her mojo reserves at a much slower rate than normal. The reason was, because every time Crash splashed her with water the image of her throwing the Bandicoot into the ocean entered her head.
When she finally did gain the required mojo again to fill her reserves the first thing she did was pull a water gun from her coat pocket and pointed it at Crash. The Bandicoot never saw it coming as Tettra pulled the trigger and blasted him with a mixture of shampoo and water. To say it went over well was an understatement, for upon being sprayed Crash brought out his own squirt gun and took aim at Tettra. Soon the two had roped in Atlas and Crunch and the front yard was turning into a war zone for water.
It ended when Aku used his mojo powers to drop a lot of water on them and the house cleaning it off from all the dust that had settled on it. Everyone who was outside shook from the cold and Atlas was having a hard time staying awake cause of it. He quickly sat down and made a small pit before bringing out a few logs and breathing fire on them. Tettra sat down and from one of her pockets she grabbed a small heater that ran on doubble A battery's. Than she grabbed a blanket out of her other pocket and put it around him before turnning the heater on and placing it behind him.
By now he was shaking real bad and was leaning against her for support while trying to stay awake. Crunch sat down on the opposit side of the fire while Crash sat on the other side of Atlas, as for Aku Aku he floated on over and spoke. "What happend to him… all I did was drop about the amount of water that came from the lake on the front yard." Tettra shot the mask a merderous look before speaking while doing her best to hold the assasin up and keep him awake. "Atlas is part lizard, hence why I called him lizard breath when he first arrived, a such he is cold blooded… normally it isn't a problem but he's been having a hard time controling his powers that he receintly rediscovered."
As Atlas warmed up a bit and everyone dried off they all enjoied the fire until the heat became to intense for them and they had to back away. Atlas though was able to withstand a much hotter amount of heat so he stayed close to the fire until he was finally able to move around again. As for Tettra she was inside by now and on her laptop looking up a new cellphone to replac the one that Crunch accidently steeped on when she first arrived. Coco was on the couch now watching some TV while Crash was sleeping again in front of the house.
Crunch was once again working out in the garage, and as for Atlas he was trying to train his flight skils with some help from Aku Aku. He was slowly getting better but he fell out of the sky almost every five minutes breaking a few bones every time only to have them heal instantly and he just kept getting back into the air. After a time though Tettra got up and went down to veiw for herself the damage that Coco had caused in the basement.
After getting to the last safe step she reached into her pocket and pulled out a glowstick, and after breaking it so it would glow she tossed it into the chasem below. It kept going until it was nothing more but a faint glow in the darkness before finally hitting the ground. "Wow… that is one deep drop, and to think it might only be on an ledge of all things…" Tettra leaned over the edge a bit to get a better look while holding onto the remains of the railing to keep from actually falling into the huge cavern.
When she was done she went back up to the living room, but before opening the door she looked out a crack and saw Coco frustrated trying to use her laptop. More importantly the Bandicoot was trying to crack her password and failing horribly every time she did. After a while Tettra let out a sigh and made it sound like she was comming up the stairs, thus making Coco quickly put th e laptop back where it was and go back to watching TV. Than with that done the author opened up the door and grabbed her laptop before heading upstairs to shop without someone trying to get a snaek peek of her next book.
"Good one Atlas… now try to do it again without the help of the guidence system you have active on the implants in your eye's." Atlas sighed before turnning the implants off wondering how the ancient witchdoctor could tell he was using it. But as he was getting ready to do another dive only to avoid hitting the ground he got a strange craving and he had no choice but to give in. When he did Atlas lost control of himself and flew away leaving Aku Aku to wonder what he was up to. Below in the water some fish was swimming close to the surface and after a while Atlas quickly dived and came up with both hands holding a signal fish.
Upon returnning he had finished eating the fish and had dropped the inebible bones back in the water before landing. "Sorry Aku I just couldn't control myself that time… I had to give in to the craving and my instincts took over." With that Atlas grabbed his coat and put it back on before going over to a rock to sit down leaving the tiki mask to wonder what just happened.
