Finland was the first to find her, curled up and sobbing openly, which rather shocked him. Immediately, he started worrying about approaching, before a blonde blur shot past him, wrapping arms around the crying girl and reassuring her softly in a mixture of French and English, snatches of which were barely audible ('Why are you crying, talk to me, Adda, listen, ne pleure pas, sœur, écoutez-moi') as Canada tried to stop her crying. Instead, she just clung to him, and Finland then moved to quickly brush her hair back from her face and tied it into bunches, adding his own words of comfort for the situation.

"He didn't mean it to be so harsh, and look, we are your family! If you listen to Su-san, you're practically a Nordic! Sealand sees you as his sister and Mansel adores you!"

A flask of tea was offered and the sobbing eventually petered out into gulps and hiccups, and a big swallow of tea helped to calm the girl right down. England was sat to the side, looking off into the distance but clearly worried.

"I-I'm s-s-sorry…." She managed, and England joined in the comforting finally, before footsteps were heard. Norway was stood there with Iceland behind him, the younger refusing to look anywhere but his shoes. Norway remained expressionless as he spoke.

"As an apology, my little brother would like to invite you out to eat cake. If that is sufficient for an apology," he said, and Coats stopped crying immediately, staring in shock. Canada, Finland and England blinked a few times, and Canada then took the opportunity to wipe her face with a handkerchief.

England stood, and looked at Norway. "I think that might be quite a nice thing for the two of them, don't you?" He helped Coats up, who still seemed shocked, and offered her hand to Iceland who was red-faced and somewhat angry-looking, but took it and started to drag her along, slowing down when she stumbled. Finland blinked a fair few times before Norway shook his head.

"The cake shop is right around here, so hurry up and don't trip!" Iceland said quickly and crossly. He was worried by the fact that Coats had stayed silent the entire time they were walking, and kept checking on her. Her blue eyes were still slightly rimmed in red, and she seemed very small inside that ridiculous maid outfit she still had on – the apron had been discarded as she ran off – but she was actually listening to what he was saying and looking up at him occasionally. She was still surprised.

He had muttered something under his breath about wanting to cheer her up, and then Norway had dragged him along and said that. He would have taken it back, but there was no way he could have done that especially having seen her like that, crying and crying because of something he had said to her.

Well, who could – it wasn't like he cared that much about her! He huffed, and she looked up again, before pointing to the cake shop.

"Use your words, why don't you!" he snapped, dragging her inside. Her eyes landed on the counter and she blinked, before a tiny smile crept onto her face.

"Can I have the pecan thing?" she asked, and he made a small noise in the back of his throat, before leading her to a little booth before leaving her there as he headed to the counter, ordering the Southern Pecan Square and a blackberry tart. Once he had paid for those and a couple of drinks, he headed back.

"I'm sorry, okay?" he said finally into the deafening silence. She looked up in surprise before smiling properly.

"I should apologise for ruining your tea, really. I just wanted Sea and Ladonia to be able to get into the meeting and it was the only thing I could think of." She smiled again and his face turned red.

"Don't interrupt my apology!" he said huffily, and she blinked before bowing her head quickly.

"Sorry," she said, quietly and he swore the blood rushed to his face at light speed, before hearing a laugh.

"You look like a maple leaf!" she said, smiling again. Thankfully, at that moment the cakes arrived, and they both concentrated upon their cakes – and Iceland did definitely not watch her happy face upon eating the cake. No, not at all!
