"How's that?" she asked, choosing to indulge him.
"It comes and goes," he begins, "Us, dancing at a ball in Paris, or lying under the stars in the Roman Empire, riding horses across the Plains." He sighed, placing a chaste kiss on her lips, "Like we've lived a thousand lives."
