"Mom," Caroline began softly, "there's something I need to tell you, and I need you to please remain calm and just hear me out."
Liz Forbes nodded, regarding her daughter solemnly, wondering if her recently sketchy behaviour was going to be explained.
"I have a new boyfriend."
Liz sighed, barely audible, in relief; that was all, Caroline had a new boyfriend.
"It's Klaus," she blurted out, and Liz stopped breathing for a moment.
