Don't let me fall chapter 22

Austin's p.o.v

Melody was moving in with us tonight. It was a surprise her dad planned for her along with our mum. Gosh, I still can't believe she's my baby sister. You should know that I had a long talk with that boyfriend of hers and was now officially an overprotective brother who people should fear.

I rolled over in my bed. It was strange having it all to myself. Ally was sleeping at home tonight. I have no idea why. She said something about her dad leaving and her saying goodbye and keeping the house safe. I don't get how she, as weak as she is, could keep a house safe.

I heard my phone vibrate on the cupboard next to my bed, and I picked it up checking the called ID in process. It was Ally.

I yawned as I picked up " What's up Als? "

" Aww, somebody's sleepy. Well I suggest you get up and get your ass over here. "

I sat up on my bed as soon as I heard that voice " Kira? "

Her annoying laugh came and made my blood boil " Hi Austin, I haven't seen you in a while. So you coming over, or will I have to hurt your little precious Ally in order for you to listen "

My eyes opened wide " Don't you dare touch her- " I was cut off by a groan out of pain, that sounded way too much alike Ally's. " I'll be right there. Just don't hurt her! " I shouted and heard her giggle.

I quickly got out of bed and rushed downstairs, ignoring my mum's questions and just running outside and across the street to Ally's house. I knocked on the door and heard footsteps on the other side almost instantly. The door opened and Kira stood there, letting me in.

I didn't even hesitate to get in and look around. Ally was no where to be seen. I looked at Kira " Where is she? " I spoke out coldly.

" Upstairs, follow me " She told me and I was in no position to argue. So we went upstairs and into Ally's room, Kira took her time. She was walking slowly but once we reached the second floor I ran ahead and into Ally's room.

As I got in, I saw Ally sitting down on the floor, tied up. Eyes closed. A rag in her mouth keeping her from speaking. But the thing that scared me the most was the blood dripping from her arm.

I immediately rushed to her side and started to untie her. I took the rag that was in her mouth and wrapped her wrist in it to stop the bleeding. I untied the knots that held her arms and legs captive and she fell into my arms. I didn't dare to let her go.

She was unconscious, but other than that she was alright. There was a bruise on the left side of her forth head. Kira must have hit her with something and that probably caused her to go to the unconscious state.

I looked up at Kira " Why? "

She shrugged " Why what? "

" Don't act dumb. Why did you do this to her, what do you want? "

" I think we both know what I want. " she looked at me " You to dump Ally "

" Not going to happen Kira " I told her, trying to hold myself back from doing anything I'd regret later. She glared at me, the looked at Ally " Fine, I guess I better make you "

" What? "

" I said " She started walking over to Ally and I " I better make you ". I backed up, pulling Ally along, as I saw Kira take out a knife. She didn't waste much time and the next thing I knew, there was a knife pulled through Ally's stomach.

My eyes shoot open as I started gasping for air. I sat up and looked around recognising the space as my room. I looked down next to me and saw Ally, sleeping soundly. My heart relaxed and I pulled her unconscious body into my arms, glad that she was alright.

A moan escaped her lips as I lifted her up from her lying position " Austin?! " She questioned. I just shrugged and let her lie back down. " Sorry, I didn't mean to awake you. I was just glad you're safe "

She rolled on her side and I lied down, so that now we were face to face. To be honest I couldn't even begin to explain how relived I was that it was all just a dream. A nightmare. If Ally got hurt because of me I have no idea what I would do, I can barely handle her being sad and depressed, let along in pain.

" What do you mean? " She spoke up, looking into my eyes. I shook my head and kissed the top of her head. " Don't worry about it, just go back to sleep " I told her quietly as I stroke her cheek. She nodded her head and let her eyes shut.

I'm glad she's finally getting some sleep, better late then never. Besides, that means she's stopped having nightmares and I liked that. I didn't want her to fear of losing me, because it's not happening. I wouldn't dream of it. She's the only thing that makes sence in this plain world. She's the one who makes me see the sun and enjoy the snow. She's the one who makes me sing at the top of my lungs. She's the one who can show me how beautiful this world is. She's just the one. I want to spend the rest of my life with her and have kids and a family. I couldn't picture it any other way.

I couldn't help but stare at the girl lying in my arms. How can she be so fragile, so small. She's too weak and I often get worried about her. I get worried and then overprotective, but that's only because I care about her. You can't really blame me for it because the care is just there. It's just a side-effect. If Ally wasn't my girl I have no idea what I would do. I can't even imagine some other guy embracing this small body into his arms, it hurts too much. I guess that's how I know I truly love her.

I leaned above her and smiled " I love you princess ". I couldn't help but land a kiss on her forehead before I took my spot next to her again and closed my eyes in hope to get some more sleep.

" Austinnn " She giggled as I pulled her along with me toward the pond that was settled deeper in the park. We were on a date and it was going really well. So far we've had a wonderful lunch picnic and we also took a walk by the shore while we licked the ice cream I had bought us. It has been a dreamy, fairytale date so far. Much to my liking.

She pulled me back making me stop in track and look at her " What's wrong? "

She gave me a firm look " Well first off all we're suppose to be at school right now, in History to be exact " I shook my head and she took a deep breath " Second of all I can't run in these heels or walk even, my feet are killing me "

I just chuckled and gave her a look " Well I can solve that problem of yours " I told her " Take off your heels "

She did as I told her to and before she could do anything to question my ways I swifted her off her feet and into my arms. She squeaked as I did and I only chuckled under my breath " Don't get too comfortable sweetheart, we're almost there ". Her arms wrapped around my neck and her head rested on my chest as I walked.

" It's hard not to get comfortable while being in your arms " She mumbled under her breath. I just smiled and kissed the top of her head " Well then I'll carry you until I drop dead "

Her giggle filed the air once again and I proudly walked over to the pond we've been trying to reach. I sat down, with her in my lap now. She never let go of me and just closed her eyes. I honestly couldn't help but hum a gentle tune as I watched her. She needed some more sleep and I could sence it.

But I also, somehow, found myself attracted to her right now. I mean, she just looked so perfect and so innocent lying in my arms that I couldn't exactly help myself. I started placing kisses down her neck. One by one. Hearing her let out a moan, once I hit a soft spot. I couldn't help but smile, knowing she felt exactly the same as I did.

" A-austin " She breathed out " Stop, someone could be watching "

" Let 'em watch " I told her before making my way up her neck and to her lips. Her soft, pink lips that tasted like cherry. I bit her bottom lip, leaving her to moan into my mouth.

She tried to pull away but I didn't let her. I was enjoying myself and so was she, though she was in denial.

That didn't matter.

I pulled away and once again started making my way down her neck placing kisses all over it. It didn't take long to find her sweet spot once again. She tried to bite back that moan but it escaped once again. I couldn't blame her for it exactly, I was pretty irresistible. I sucked on that spot and bit her. She gasped but did even try to push me away, she knew there was no hope in separating me from her now.

" Austin "

" Hm? "

" Don't leave a hickey " She told me and I pulled away from her to look at her neck.

" Um, I think it's too late for that "

She jumped out of my arms and grabbed a hold on her neck, searching for the spot I'd been stuck on. An angry groan escaped her precious lips " Austin Monica Moon! "

" Now, now sweetie " I warned her " If I were you I'd be a whole lot nicer to me, since I am your ride "

" I think I'm going to walk "

I raised my eyebrows, looking to the heels in her hands then back at her " I thought your feet hurt from walking in those heels darling "

She looked towards her heels then huffed. She knew I was right and hated it " I'll manage " and with that she started making her way to the exit of the park.

I couldn't help but chuckle as I watched her slowly walk on the dirty ground, filled with leaves, branches and rocks. I gotta admit her ass looks great from this angle and I'm not even gonna get started of those legs of hers. She's my girl. My beautiful, beautiful girl.

She winced as she stepped on something and stopped dead in her tracks, releasing a sound of pain. It didn't take long for me to stand up and run over to her, lifting her up off the ground " You just had to prove your point, didn't you " I told her and she huffed " Does it hurt? "

She didn't reply, just tightened her grip around my neck.

" I'll take that as a yes " I muttered under my breath and she shoved her head in my chest. I was quick, making my way to my car I mean. Well I had to be due to Ally's constant groans and yelping.

I placed her on the back seat and she looked at me with a hopeful look. I knew what it meant as soon as I saw her. It was the look that syndicated ' Please don't ask me about it ' but we both knew I had to.

I sat next to her and she pushed herself on the other side of the car. " Ally, let me take a look "

" No "

I looked into her eyes " Stop being so stubborn and let me look at it "

" No "

" Ally- "

" -No "

I didn't take my gaze of hers. Either she was scared or just being as stubborn as hell. Still there had to be a reason for her being so stubborn. " Does it hurt? "

Yet again, she didn't reply.

" Ally, does it hurt? " I repeated.

She bit the inside of her cheek before choking out " Only a little bit "

I didn't wait for her promision, I just took her leg and brought it up to look at it. She tried holding it back but I held a tight grip on it as I looked it.

No wonder she was in pain, there was glass sticking out of her leg. I looked at her and she was biting her lip while holding her gaze away.

" You want me to pull it out "

She shook hear head " No "

" Ally- "

" -It's going to hurt so no "

I let out a sigh " Would you rather have me take you to the hospital instead? "

Her eyes were wide in seconds.

" That's what I thought " I said and took a deep breath before looking at her leg once again. " Ready? " I asked her and glanced up at her to see her gripping onto the seat and nodding her head.

I looked back down and counted down in my head as I slowly placed my fingers on the glass. 5,4...1

" Oww, fuck! " I head Ally yell.

" Cursing, are we? " I joked only for her to coldly reply " Shut your stupid mouth! "

" Ouch, that hurt " I spoke sarcastically and felt her weak fist meet my shoulder. I only chuckled " Your welcome, by the way "

" Lets just go, I don't wanna miss the whole day at school "

" You won't, don' worry " I said as I exited the back of the car, picking her up once again and bringing her to the passenger seat.

I went over to the driver's seat and took a seat myself. I looked over at her " You sure you don't want to go to the hospital to have that checked out? "

She nodded her head " Yeah, I'm sure "

I started the car and drove out onto the road " Fine, but you're going to the nurse once we get to the school "

" Do I have to? "

I nodded my head " Yes, you do "

" B-but what if she tells me I have to go to the hospital or worse, that I can't go to prom "

That makes much more sense " So that's what this is about " I glanced over at her " You're worried about not getting to go to prom? "

She let out a sigh " Kinda "

" Don't you worry about that, it's not gonna happen "

" Well it can't happen, but Austin I want things to be perfect and how can they be perfect if I won't even be able to dance "

I looked at her " Who said you won't be able to dance? "

" Eyes on the road mister " she warned me.

I looked back to the road repeating my line " Who said you won't be able to dance? "

She let out a groan and leaned back in her seat " Isn't it kind of obvious "

It wasn't that obvious but I got what she meant. Her leg was probably gonna be wrapped up and she'll have trouble walking. After all prom is tomorrow, there's no time for her to recover. But it's not like it's that big, ya know. It's just a scratch... A deep scratch, but still a scratch. It can heal quickly, there are ways. There is no way my girl is missing prom because of one stupid wound. She is going to be the prom queen after all, and we can't have the prom queen missing. My prom queen. I wonder who is going to get to be the prom king and queen, it is a battle after all. Kira and her moron of a boyfriend against Ally and I, the winner is obvious but still. Kira could mess with the scores or force people to vote for her. She always has a plan and frankly I don't like it.

" We'll figure something out "

It's been passing through my head lately, Ally and I always find ourselves in trouble and then have to figure it all out. Why us? We're just two random people with normal problems, well we were just two random people with our own problems. Now we're in it all together and we're ready for anything and everything.

I parked the car in front of the school in my spot. I got out and went over to Ally's side, helping her get out and picking her up into my arms. Not like she could walk, but that was okay cause I didn't mind. I never mind to have her close to me.

I took her inside and made my way through the empty hallway. Everybody was in class. Perfect.

I brought her to the nurse who told me to go to class. All I could do was peck my darling's lips and get out. So I went to class.

" Mr. Moon you're late "

I rolled my eyes " Whatever, not like I care " and I took my seat next to Dez. To my surprise he was paying attention and writing down everything the teacher was saying and writing on the board. I just shook my head and took my phone out, looking for Ally's name in my contacts.

" Dude put your phone away " I heard Dez whisper and rolled my eyes.

" Why would I do that? "

He gave me a look " Ally "

Fuck, he knows me too well. Sometimes I hate him for it, but at the same time I'm glad he's my best friend " Fine ". I let out a sigh and put my phone away.

" So where have you been all day anyways? "

I looked at him " Took Ally on a date, which ended quite badly "

" What happened? "

I shook my head remembering her stubborn self leave knowing she could end up stepping on something and getting hurt " A little incident " I spoke out quietly " Ally went to the nurse but we'll see how it goes "

" And you're not with her because...? "

I laughed and looked at him " Because the nurse kicked me out and told me to go to class "

" So? " my eyebrows rose " You're Austin Moon, since when do you do as you're told? "

I chuckled and turned my head toward the door, looking out to the hallway " Since I fell in love with her " that sound's good leaving my lips.

I heard his scoff behind me and turned my attention to him again " Don't you remember what you told me Austin? "

" No, what? "

" Never fall in love because everything that falls gets broken " he said and smiled as he patted my back " I'm glad you grew out of that nonsense "

I walked out of the class, far behind on everyone. I didn't care though. All I could focus on was what Dez had told me. Everything that falls gets broken. It's true, I used to believe that but not anymore. Ally changed that, didn't she? I love her, I fell in love. Yes I fell, but I didn't break right? Ally was there to catch me so maybe not everything that falls gets broken.

" Austin! "

My head shoot up looking in her way, she made her way down the hall carefully. Limping as she did. One of her heels was in her hand and the other was on her foot. I didn't hesitate much to get next to her and let her hold on to me " So what did she say? "

Ally let a sigh escape her beautiful lips " Well I won't be dancing tomorrow " she looked me and continued before I could protest " Besides, I have something to tell you "

She nervously fiddled with her fingers, now that was never a good sign. Not with Ally " Ally did I do something, cause if I did I'm sorry. Is it about making you skip class today, oh if it's about that I am so sorry I didn't mean to make you do that but we haven't been out in a while and I just thought you could use some time off " after seeing her raise her eyebrows I stopped myself from going any further. " Why don't just tell me what this is about " I mumbled and she giggled at my sudden drop of enthusiasm.

She let me help her walk as we started to head down the hall toward our lockers and she talked " So I saw Kira in the nurse's office, she came in after you left. She had a bloody nose and I couldn't help but notice how tired she looked, but all in all, she and I started to talk and she's not such a bad girl you know "

" Do you hear the words that are coming out of your mouth? " I stated " She's my ex, remember? " I shook my head " I don't know what sick game she's playing but you are not going to be a part of it "

She gave me a look " Isn't that a bit controllable? "

" What's that suppose to mean? " I asked her as I slid my hand over her shoulders pulling her close and still letting her hold on to me as we walked.

She looked away from me and shook her head " Nothing, never mind "

" No, no, I want you to tell me what it is. What did you mean by that? " I asked her again. I have no idea what the hell was going through that head of hers, was she thinking about something I did. Was she thinking I'm a control freak or something?

" I said never mind " she got out of my grip and made her way over to her locker. I only watched her as she pulled her books out of her locker. Something about her seemed off. Something just didn't fit. The sudden darkness in her eyes I saw for a millisecond was not her. That was not the Ally I care for and love, some piece of her changed. Something has gotten into her and I can't say I didn't know who to blame because it was obvious. Only one person could put a seed of darkness into my sunshine. Only one girl.
