Chapter Fourteen: Incredible Years
TRON0602: Rikala appreciates the love you gave her, Nurisha. And Maji, YES YES YES GO HELP NUKA DO IT NOW! Whoops "spoiler." And no, I'm not having Amri hurt Kamaria, at least, not at this point. Amri is not Kiara, he may be Kibuluu's son, but he isn't Kiara. Enjoy the chapter.
Hunter305414: I have noticed that this story is based more on love. It's intentional. I originally decided that love would drive this story, as well as hate and other powerful emotions. Emotions are what this story rides on. And yes, Rikala and Nuka are separated, but they're still in love. They make a beautiful couple. Enjoy the chapter
Guest: It was intentional to get rid of the feelings from last chapter, to make everything seem better :) enjoy the chapter
Whoa it's fandoms: I cried too. Trust me I cried too. Timeless Miracle can make me cry with that song, so I decided it fit with Rikkie and Nuka. Enjoy the chapter
CSIMentalistTLK Lover: Yes, poor Rikala. She's always had Nuka there, so she can't change that she feels that way. And Nuka is alive! *does a dance* I think it works out perfectly, to be honest. Separated lovers, wanting to be together, and having Sarafina and Scar try to lead them back to each other. Enjoy the chapter :)
I'm actually excited about this chapter. Kopa is actually going to sing in this chapter, to his daughter Jasiri (belongs to CSIMentalistTLK Lover.) I gave Kopa the voice of Myles Kennedy, the lead singer of Alter Bridge, and Myles at least to me sings like a GOD. So here we go, back to Alter Bridge, with their hit song "Wonderful Life" coming from Kopa's lips *dies*
Kopa and Jasiri were next to Rafiki's tree, waiting for news on Simba. Jasiri tapped her foot, being a little impatient. Kopa looked to his daughter, his cobalt blue eyes stern.
"'Siri, honey, please…" Kopa said. Jasiri sighed and lowered her head, her brown eyes saddened.
"I'm sorry, Daddy." Jasiri said. Kopa smiled sadly and nuzzled his daughter. Nala climbed down from the tree, looking at her son and granddaughter both looking right at her for news.
"He needs to rest. He's had a severe concussion and needs to sleep." Nala said, her cobalt eyes smiling. Kopa nuzzled his mother.
"That's great news about Dad. I don't know if I could have lost him and Moto all at once." Kopa said. Jasiri's brown eyes filled with tears. Nala saw the sadness in her granddaughter's eyes and brought Jasiri into a close hug, nuzzling her. Jasiri began to sob into Nala's shoulder. Nala leveled a look with her son.
"Take the day to spend with your daughter," Nala said, "your father will be fine, and I'm here. You need to spend time with your daughter and help her grieve." Kopa nodded, leaning in and nuzzling his daughter. Jasiri looked to her father.
"Come on. Grandpa's going to be fine. Let's go for a walk." Kopa said. Jasiri sniffled and nodded.
"Okay, Daddy." Jasiri said. Kopa and Jasiri left the tree, leaving Nala with a smile on her face.

Kopa and Jasiri walked until they found a little watering hole where they sat and looked to the blue sky, which was amazingly blue after the rain from the previous night. Jasiri sniffled again. Kopa looked to his daughter.
"I know you're sad. So am I." Kopa said. Jasiri leveled a glare with her father.
"How? You haven't cried yet." Jasiri sneered. Kopa gave his daughter a saddened look.
"I haven't cried because it hasn't set in yet. I lost the love of my life, the mother of my daughter, the one. All to a war that never should have happened." Kopa said. Jasiri's look softened a bit and a tear fell off her rusty brown cheek. Kopa stepped over and held his daughter.
"I know, I know. Hush now. Hush…" Kopa felt Jasiri's sobs become less and less. Less and less.
"I love her so much, Daddy." Jasiri said.
"I love her too, and she loves us. She's always watching over us." Kopa said softly. Jasiri hiccupped a sob.
"How can she? She's not a Queen of the Past." Jasiri said.
"She is in a way. Princes and Princesses also go with the Great Kings and Queens." Kopa said.
"How? Mom's not blood related to any King or Queen." Jasiri said.
"Jasiri, your mother was married to me. That made her a Princess." Kopa said softly. Jasiri sobbed again. Kopa tightened his hold, tears threatening his eyes as well. Jasiri sobbed into her father's mane, and Kopa let his tears drip onto his daughter's fur. The two just cried, not wanting to move. Kopa felt Jasiri's usually sturdy body falter. Neither had slept the night before, unable to sleep due to the loss of Moto, and Kopa knew his daughter had to be wavering. Kopa heard a melody on the wind and sang a bit.
"Yeah.
Close your eyes,
And just hear me sing.
One last long goodbye,"Kopa sang. Jasiri sobbed harder, and Kopa felt tears in his eyes again.
"One last song before
You spread your wings." Kopa nuzzled his daughter and held her close.
There's so much left to say.
Before this moment slips away." Kopa sang again, and Jasiri looked to her father, her brown eyes curious. Kopa stood up and lead Jasiri away from the waterhole and to a rock near it. Jasiri stepped up on it and looked to the late afternoon sky, seeing a shape of a lioness there. Jasiri smiled when she saw it could easily pass as her mother. Kopa smiled at his daughter and then looked to the cloud.
"What a wonderful life
For as long as you've been at my side," Kopa sang, and Jasiri's tear-worn eyes looked to her father in awe of his singing voice. The one-year-old lioness gazed at her father, and saw a red lioness appear at Kopa's side.
"And I want you to know
I loved you so." Kopa sang, seeing Moto at his side as well. Moto's gray eyes gazed into Kopa's blue, and the golden lion smiled, tears falling off his cheeks. Jasiri stepped next to her father, in between him and her mother's ghost. Tears filled her eyes as Moto nuzzled them both.
"I love you." Moto's voice was airy, light. Kopa sobbed a touch, then sighed.
"The cold night calls
And the tears fall like rain." Moto smiled at Kopa, and tears filled her eyes too. Jasiri hiccupped a sob, desperately wanting to have her mother hold her, knowing that Moto couldn't. Kopa sighed.
"It's so hard letting go
Of the one thing I'll never replace." Kopa looked directly at Moto. Moto nodded, knowing the mutual feeling. The red lioness looked into Kopa's eyes.
"And soon you will be gone
But these words they will live on." Kopa sang to Moto as the red lioness's ghost disappeared. Jasiri and Kopa left the waterhole and continued on a walk. The sun started setting a bit, and the father and daughter gazed at the beautiful dusk.
"What a wonderful life
For as long as you've been at my side." Kopa sang, his voice thicker. Jasiri leaned into her father's mane, the setting sun making a perfect golden twilight.
"And I want you to know
I'll miss you so." Kopa gazed at the evening sky.
And though our days come to an end
No, I'll never love like this again.
What a wonderful life, my friend." Kopa sang as he held Jasiri.
"Did you always love Mom?" Jasiri whispered. Kopa nodded.
"Always. Since we were cubs. We may have been betrothed, but I loved her." Kopa whispered, as the spirits seemed to continue the music. He felt the words pour over him again.
"And all that I am
You let me be.
I will remember you." Kopa sang. Jasiri gazed at her father.
"All that you've done
Given to me." Jasiri sang with her father.
"Love will remain
This I can see." Kopa sang.
"Now and forever more
Because of you now I believe." Kopa and Jasiri sang together.
"I believe." Kopa sang.
"What a wonderful life
For as long as you've been at my side.
And I want you to know
I loved you so." Kopa sang as he nuzzled Jasiri.
"What a wonderful life
For as long as you've been at my side
And I want you to know
I'll miss you so." Jasiri sang softly.
"And though our days come to an end
No I'll never love like this again." Kopa and Jasiri sang.
"What a wonderful life
A wonderful life
What a wonderful life
A wonderful life, oh yeah." Kopa sang, his voice powerful. Jasiri sobbed harder and leaned into her father's mane, her sobs evident. Kopa brought Jasiri into a hug. Both father and daughter felt a warmth pass over them, knowing Moto was hugging them as well.
"And with one last embrace
As the tears fall like rain
You're gone." Kopa sang as he held Jasiri.
"And with one last goodbye
As you fade out tonight
You're gone oh." Kopa sang, his words and the music dissolving into complete and utter sobs from him and his daughter. Jasiri's rusty brown body became weaker and weaker from her constant sobbing, and Kopa felt it. He brought Jasiri's head up and looked into his daughter's brown eyes.
"Are you okay?" Kopa asked. Jasiri hiccupped a sob and leaned into Kopa's mane. Kopa smiled sadly and held his daughter close.
"I'll take that as a no, but you will be. Jasiri, we will always have each other. Your mom would want us to live on for her. And we can. For her." Kopa said. Jasiri looked up at her father.
"I will live on for Mom. It's just so hard, Daddy. It's hard. I miss her and it's only been a day." Jasiri said, her voice strained. Kopa nodded.
"I miss her too, but I can look forward to something, kiddo." Kopa said.
"What's that?" Jasiri asked.
"She gave me you. She gave me a part of each of us. I look forward to you growing up, having cubs of your own, I look forward to being a part of your life, sweetie." Kopa said. Jasiri's jaw trembled and she leaned into her father, a frown on her face. The rusty brown lioness stayed silent, and Kopa smiled.
"Let's get back. I'm sure there's a kill waiting for us." Kopa said. Jasiri nodded and gazed at her father.
"Hey, Dad?" Jasiri asked.
"Yes?" Kopa asked.
"You said, in your song, you'd never love like you loved Mom. Is that true?" Jasiri asked. Kopa nodded.
"As true as you are brown eyed." Kopa smiled. Jasiri smiled sadly.
"I'd be okay… if you did fall in love again. Just promise me that… that you'll never love another like you did Mom." Jasiri said. Kopa smiled and nuzzled his daughter.
"I promise." Kopa said.
A/N: *tears fill my eyes* beautiful.
Kopa: Chin?
Me: I'm okay. *My chin trembles and I lean into Kopa's mane with a sob*
Kopa: There there, SweetChin. There there. It's all right. I got you. You're okay.
Nala: She fell into a teary mess didn't she?
Kopa: *nods*
Nala: *smiles and nuzzles me* hush now, Chin. You have to close the chapter.
Me: *sniffles and leans up* You're right. So much feels. I feel it all.
Kopa: you're the one that gave me Myles Kennedy's voice.
Me: True. Review and stay tuned, all!
