AN: I know the space between these updates are getting larger and larger but it's really hard for me to write these days. I'm having a super duper huge writer's block and I don't know. I've been trying to read the stories I follow for some type of inspiration but it just doesn't seem to be coming to me at all. I do apologize for the wait. I'm not really happy with this chapter and haven't been with a few but I hope you guys are still here with me!

"Ms. Pope, thank you for coming in today. We really appreciate your willingness to work with us so we can get to the bottom of this. I'm Agent Murphy, and this is Agent Diggs. We see you have Ms. Claremont as your representation. We would like to start now, if that's okay with you."

Olivia looks over to Mellie, who nods at her, telling her it's okay to proceed.

"That's fine Agent Murphy".

"Good. Now, we'd like for you to be completely honest with us Olivia. Now, Fitz tells us that there was one incident between he and Ms. Tanner. Were you aware of this incident".

"No. I wasn't until the day he was arrested. We spoke and he told me the story".

"And why do you think he waited so long to tell you?"

"I don't know."

"Do you think he would have ever told you about it if this case never came about?"

"I don't know."

"Well, Ms. Pope. The word is that you two are engaged to be married. I'm sure that this has caused some shift in your relationship, correct?"

"It has."

"And why might that be?"

"Why do you think?"

"Excuse me?", Agent Murphy asked shocked.

"Olivia...", Mellie warned.

"If you find out that your fiancee, the man you loved and trusted, hid something from you like this, would it not cause a shift in your relationship?"

"Ms. Pope, I apologize, I didn't mean to offend you..."

"I'm not finished. Please, do not interrupt me", she said, signaling with her hand that she needed for him to stop talking. "Look, I don't know what you all expect from me. I'm not going to sit here and paint Fitz as some conniving predator. Yes, he had a relation with Amanda. A relation, NOT a relationship. Am I upset that he stuck himself down her throat while I was in a hospital bed completely unconscious and unaware? Yes, I am. He is my man. The man I love. To know that even in a moment of weakness he let himself do something so foolish that tarnished our relationship, it still hurt. Am I involved? Hell no! What sick woman would allow someone to do that and sit by? Not me! Do I think Fitz harassed her? No, in fact I know he didn't. I'm not going to sit here and say he's perfect because he obviously isn't. But he's not that kind of person. You wanna know how I know? It's because he didn't fire her, I did."

"You did?"

"Yes, I did. She rubbed me the wrong way. She made a remark that didn't sit well with me and I didn't feel comfortable having her around."

"And what would that remark have been?", asked Agent Diggs.

"Something along the lines of Fitz being a sweetheart and that luckily I survived because she didn't know how he'd ever replace me."

"And how did you respond Ms. Pope?"

"I told her we'd never find out because I was here. I told her whoever had to replace me would always be second place to me and I wouldn't wish it on anyone, not even her."

"And then what happened?"

"And then I had her fired. Fitz tried to stop me, he didn't want to cause trouble for the last three days I was in the hospital, but I insisted."

"So what are you saying Ms. Pope?"

"I'm saying that Amanda was clearly jealous that Fitz fawned over me, even after she sucked him dry and he kicked her to the curb, and now she wants to take it out on him. If she can't have him, no one else can".

"Ms Pope, you're implying that Amanda made this all up because she was jealous of you and Mr. Grant's relationship. These are serious accusations here, Ms. Pope"

"Yeah, and telling everyone that a man forced himself on to you and then fired you because you wouldn't let him isn't a serious accusation as well?"

The room stood quiet. The agents were stunned. Their mouths hung open, words trying to escape but unable to make their way out. Olivia's chest heaved as the anger boiled inside of her. Mellie leaned against the wall with her legs crossed and her hands folded. A huge smirk spread across her chest.

"This is a feisty one", she thought to herself, "Definitely a perfect fit for Fitz".

"It's easy for someone to believe a woman who says that a man attacked her, right?", Olivia asked, breaking the silence. "But why is it so hard to believe a man that says he's innocent?"

"Ms. Pope..."

"If there aren't anymore foolish questions, I'd really like to get going here", she said, gathering her things.

"No ma'am, you're free to go..."

She stood up and walked over to Mellie, the both of them leaving out of the room together.

"So, what'd you think?"

"She's not involved and he might be innocent."

"And how can you tell?"

"Both side of their stories sound the same. They haven't had any time to speak about it. We had the tape running in the room when she was with him. There was no sort of plan hatched. And then Amanda. It just makes sense", said Agent Diggs.

"What makes sense? That a man is being charged with a crime and his fiancee is defending him? Of course that makes sense!", said Agent Murphy.

"Murphs, you gotta read between the lines. She didn't deny the fact that he stepped out on her, that it hurt her. She didn't deny that it ruined her relationship. She didn't blame Amanda for that, she blamed him."

"And so what?!"

"And she also had the missing puzzle piece of why she wanted Amanda fired. Fitz never said why, but he did say Olivia insisted. What if Amanda did make it all up?"

"Well, she's got a hell of a lot more proof to say she didn't..."

"Yes, I am".

"Mellie, I really hope you're making a wise decision here. I mean, isn't this some sort of conflict of interest?"

"No. You aren't divorcing, you aren't against each other. You're a couple affected by the same case that need separate legal advising. No conflict of interest. I know how to do my job Fitzgerald."

"I know, I'm sorry. I'm just..."

"Nervous? Scared? Worried? Don't be. I've got it covered."

"So, are they really going to question her?"

"Yes. They have to make sure she wasn't involved."

"This is crazy. I.. I really can't believe this is happening. For Olivia to get hurt because of something I did... I don't know how she'd ever look at me again".

"Fitz, I know you've got a lot going on right now, but we need to focus on this case." She walked over to the door, opening it and stepping to the side as someone wheeled in a portable television. After it was set up, the person handed her the remote control and left the room.

"What's this?", he asked her.

"Security footage from the parking garage", she smiled wickedly, pointing the remote towards the television and pressing the play button.
