Olivia sat in the limo on the way back home, contemplating everything that had happened since the moment she woke up that morning. For starters, her name had been leaked to the press. She knew it would have only been a matter of time before someone recognized her and cashed in on her identity. Then, accusations started flying that she was aware of the situation anf that she could have possibly be involved. She knew scandals always came with rumors, but she never believed she'd be momentarily paired to both. And if she didn't think those two things were bad enough, not only was she being represented by Mellie, so was Fitz. Surprisingly, that had been the most shocking news of the day. She tried to piece everything together when she heard her phone ringing.

"Pope...", she answered the phone.

"Hi Olivia. It's Carrie", a voice came in through the phone. Carrie was the staff assistant at Olivia's job. She was in charge of handling phone calls, appointments, and some other small tasks that needed to be completed at the center.

"Hi Carrie, what can I do for you?"

"I'm sorry to disturb you while you're still on medical leave but it's very important that we have you come in today for a meeting."

"It's no problem. When will the meeting be?"

"We'll be ready for you whenever you get here."

"I can make it in twenty. Sounds good?"

"That's perfect Olivia!"

"Great, I'll see you soon!", she said before hanging up the phone.

Fitz and Mellie sat in the room together watching the footage from the cameras in the parking garage. Luckily for Fitz, the cameras that they acquired the film from caught majority of what had happened, from Fitz accidentally spilling Amanda's coffee on her, to Amanda wiping her face in her shirt.

It pained Fitz to have to relive the memory when he had to retell the incident, but seeing it happen again was a different story. What bothered him the most was the possibility that Olivia herself might have to see the video. He knew it killed her to hear that he cheated on her, but he couldn't imagine what it would be like for her to have to see it.

"Well Fitz, it seems your story adds up to the film. My guy is looking into obtaining footage that can be found in the hospital of both you and Amanda. They're checking for specific dates and time frames based on when you signed in on visitor logs and based on when she signed off on any medical tasks concerning Olivia."

"So what does this mean Mellie?"

"Well, the agents have already seen this. They're bringing Amanda in for more questioning tomorrow, as well showing her the footage too."

"And Olivia?"

"Olivia was released after questioning."

"And how did that go?"

"Much better than expected. You've got a good one there Fitz. She defended you. It's possible that she might have cleared her name and even helped to clear yours".

"She defended me?", he asked surprised.

"She defended your character, not your actions..."

"Oh...", his voice sounding wounded. "Does she have to see the tape?"

"Knowing these pricks, they'll probably want to show it to her to see her reactions."

"Reactions?"

"Verbal and non-verbal. You know, body language and facial expressions. How she reacts will help them determine if her story sticks. So pretty much, Olivia's gonna see the tape."

"Shit."

"Yep. Well then, you're free to go. I'll be back once we get some more info on the case. Be careful in there, Pretty Boy"

"Yeah, thanks Mellie"

"Good evening Olivia", Carrie said as she opened the door to let Olivia in.

"Hi Carrie. How are you? and Jack? and the kids?"

"I'm fine. He's fine. The kids are fine. Thank you for asking. And yourself?"

"Ehh.. things could be better..."

Both woman continued to chit chat as they walked down the hallway to the conference room where all of the staff meetings were held. Carrie opened the door and stood to the side to let Olivia walk ahead of her. Upon entering the room, Olivia noticed that not only were the staff for the center present, so were the corporate staff. She took a seat at the only open chair, which was at the head of the large conference table.

"Olivia, we're glad you could make it. It's been some time that we've had you here", began Marshall Justin, the director of the center.

"Mr. Justin, it's a pleasure to be back. Hello to you all", she said, smiling and waving to the group. Instead of the usual joy, her gesture was returned with silence. She shot quick glances at Quinn and Abby who sat further away and the both of them bowed their heads quickly. "Is there something wrong?", she asked no one in particular.

"Olivia, we called this meeting today to discuss your future here", Marshall said as he clasped his hands in front of him.

"I don't understand", she said, her eyes looking between Marshall and the rest of her coworkers.

"Olivia, in light of the recent scandal concerning your fiancee...", Marshall began, but Olivia completely tuned him. She was unable to hear anything over the sound of her heart beating through her chest.

"As if this shit can't get any worse", she thought to herself.

"...Well, we're not necessarily saying he did it, nor are we saying that you're involved, but Olivia, these parents aren't happy..."

"Parents? Who the fuck are they? They're not the ones being accused of being an accessory to sexual assault!"

"... you're a face for this center Olivia. You being involved with something so touchy while working with children does not look good. Not only your behalf, but on the center's behalf as well..."

"Oh, so this is what it's all about..."

"We're not terminating you Olivia. We just think it would be best that until this whole case blows over that you take a leave of absence..."

"Great, at least I can get a break..."

"...unpaid."

"What?!", she said out loud.

"Simply because it would be not ethical for us to pay you, especially with all of this floating around. Olivia, we're terribly sorry..."

She raised her hand to cut him off. "This is the second time I've had to deal with this shit today".

"Mr. Justin, I understand. Thank you", she said as she pushed back her seat, grabbed her purse and walked out of the room.

Olivia was out of the building and walking towards the parked limousine when she heard footsteps and voices calling from behind her.

"Liv! Liv!", Quinn called out.

"Hey Olivia, wait up!", Abby yelled. Both women were out of breath before they caught up to her.

Olivia stopped walking, rolled her eyes and turned to face them. "How long have you known?", she said calmly.

"Liv...", Abby began.

"No Abigail! How long have you known! You guys must have known! How could you keep this from me?!"

"Olivia, we knew nothing until they called the meeting together. Do you really think we could keep something like this from you?", Quinn said.

"Yeah Liv, we didn't know. You gotta believe us!"

"Believe?", Olivia shook her head as she chuckled. "I don't know who or what to believe in anymore".

The Next Morning

Amanda sat in the questioning room, staring at the wall. It was bright and early in the morning and it was really aggravating to have to be here. But, she knew that in order to fulfill her plan, she had to play her role and play it well. "This victim shit is getting really annoying now, can't they just lock them up already?", she thought to herself as the room door opened, Agent Diggs and Murphy walking in. Murphy carried a Starbucks cup, placing it in front of Amanda on the table.

"Your grande mocha latte, Ms. Tanner. Sorry about the early morning, we're just trying to get through this case as quick as possible."

"Thank you, Agent Murphy", she said softly, holding the cup in her hand as she took a sip of her drink. "It's quite alright. As long as justice is served in the end", she said, slipping into character as she began to play her role again.

"Ms. Tanner", spoke Agent Diggs, "In a few seconds someone will be wheeling in a portable television set. On this television, we'll be viewing some new evidence that has been introduced to the case. Is that okay with you?"

"Evidence? What evidence?", she thought to herself. "Umm... okay, sure...", she tried her hardest to hide the worry in her voice. Just then, someone wheeled in the television and Agent Murphy picked up the remote, ready to start the video.

Amanda watched as the video started. There were a few seconds of static on the television screen before a clearer image appeared. It was of Fitz walking through the parking garage in the hospital, and her appearing behind him shortly after.

"Shit! This is the garage! How much of this do they have? Oh my God, did they see me..."

Her internal questions were answered as she saw Fitz kiss her, and then her pushing him towards the car, reaching for his belt buckle. "Oh my God!", she accidentally whimpered out loud, her cup falling from her hands and crashing to the floor, spilling its contents. As Agent Diggs swooped in to try and clean up the mess, Agent Murphy stared at Amanda, who was completely unaware that he was studying her.

"She's lying", he thought to himself, as he pretended to have interest in helping Diggs on the floor.

An Hour Later

Olivia tried her best to hold her composure as she was being escorted, yet again, through the halls of the police department. She was brought into the room, that she had become all too familiar with, and took her seat. Despite the newest addition of a portable television and VCR player, the room looked completely the same: an old yellow straw on the floor in the corner, the hand prints on what she presumed was a two-way mirror, a garbage can that started to overflow yesterday.

She was disgusted. She was disgusted with the condition of the room, knowing that inside the cells couldn't be any better. She was disgusted that this is where Fitz had to be, inside of at home and in bed with her. She was disgusted that he had been reduced from such a sweet, caring, and charming man to a sick, manipulative pervert. She was disgusted that Amanda had the upper hand in this situation and she was clearly using it to ruin him, to ruin them. She was disgusted in herself, because she wanted to run. She lost herself in him and now she was losing him. She was losing her job. She was losing her image. She was losing her dignity. She wanted to run, run away so bad, but she knew he needed her and that she needed him; she knew they needed each other.

"Ms. Pope, sorry to have to drag you here two mornings in a row, but there has been some new evidence brought to our attention."

"It's okay gentlemen", she said quietly. She wanted to keep her cool, no matter how angry she was. Right now, it wasn't about her, it was about Fitz.

"Ms. Pope...", Agent Diggs began, "...I must warn you that what you are about to see is very graphic. We are aware that this might be hard on you, but we would really need for you to stay until the video is complete..."

"Video? What video? And did he say new evidence? What the hell is going on?", she thought to herself.

"We would like to begin now Ms. Pope, if that's okay with you", spoke Agent Murphy.

"Umm, yeah, I guess it's okay..."

"Good. Diggs, press play".

Olivia watched as the images began to play out on the screen. You couldn't hear anything, but the facial expressions said it all. She watched as Fitz, who seemed to carry a look of sadness and frustration stormed out of the hospital doors into the parking lot. She watched as Amanda walked up behind him and him turning around abruptly, spilling the drink she was carrying all over her. She watched as they walked into the view of another camera, the both of them standing between their cars. She watched as Fitz assisted Amanda in removing her soaked shirt and how he swept in to give her a kiss.

Her jaw clenched.

She watched as they parted momentarily, Amanda dropping her shirt to the floor as she pushed Fitz against his car. She watched as his face slightly contorted as he winced in pain. She watched Amanda lean in to kiss him again, and he didn't pull away.

She sighed softly.

She watched as Amanda reached for his belt buckle, unfastening it as she dropped to her knees, pulling his pants and underwear down with them.

Her breath hitched.

She watched as Amanda's mouth leaned in, swallowing him whole, as his shoulders relaxed and he leaned back on the car door. She watched as Amanda's head bobbed up and down, taking all of him in effortlessly, something she was never able to do. She watched as his mouth formed a small O and his hands reached for her hair.

Tears began streaming down her face.

She watched this woman pleasure her man, in ways she was unable to, at the time. She watched him move his hips to follow her pattern of movement and how his grip tightened around her hair. She watched as his head flew back in ecstasy, a name flying from his lips. Her name.

Her sniffles filled the room.

She watched as Amanda stood up, grabbing her shirt off the floor and wiping her mouth with it. She watched as Fitz pulled up his underwear and pants, refastening his belt. She watched him running his fingers through his hair, a look of guilt on his face, as he waved goodbye awkwardly to Amanda. She watched him step into the car, driving away from the parking lot, leaving Amanda standing there. She watched as a clearly frustrated Amanda walked to her car, throwing her shirt in the backseat before she got in and drove away.

The lights flipped on as the television screen went blue.

"Again, Ms. Pope, we apologize for having to show you that video. We just wanted you to be aware of what evidence would soon be presented. You're free to go ma'am...", Agent Murphy stated.

She nodded her head, grabbing her things and walking out of the room as her tears began to overflow.

"What'd you think?", Diggs asked Murphy.

"She had nothing to do with it."

"And what makes you so sure?"

"She took her engagement ring off and put it inside her purse halfway through the video."

A Few Weeks Later

She took the plastic container out of the microwave, nearly dropping it on the floor when she realized she put it in for too long and the steam was burning her fingers.

"Shit shit shit!", she raced to place the container on the kitchen counter, running over to the sink to let some cool water soothe the burn. She heard her cellphone ring and she ran over to get it. The caller ID read "Unknown Caller".

It was him, again. For the past few weeks, she had either missed or avoided his calls. She didn't want to speak with him. She knew she should have the decency to tell him and she knew she was acting cowardly, but she couldn't bring herself to do it. She knew today had to be the day. Her hands shook as her finger slid across the screen to answer the call.

"You have a collect call from an inmate "Fitzgerald Grant" at the Metro West Detention Center. If you choose to accept the charges, please press 1". The phone beeps and she waited nervously for the line to connect.

"Olivia?", she hears his voice coming through. He sounds different, so different. His voice hints weakness, confusion, defeat. She hates it. She hates that she's been doing this to him. She hates she has to do this to him.

"Fitz...", she responds, her voice soft.

"Livvie, baby. Are you okay? I've been calling and you haven't answered. I was worried something happened to you."

"I'm okay Fitz"

"Babe, it's so good to hear your voice. I miss you so much, you don't even know"

"Fitz...", she begins to speak but he cuts her off.

"Olivia, baby, I'm so sorry for everything that's happening. I'm so sorry for everything that's happened. I didn't mean for this to happen at all. I know, you probably hate me so much right now. I'd hate me too. But Olivia, you gotta know it was a mistake. I love you so much. Please, please tell me you forgive me."

"I... I...", she stutters.

"Liv", he says and she can hear the fear in his voice.

"I can't do this", she whispers, trying her hardest to fight back the tears.

"What?", he says and she can pinpoint the exact second his heart shatters.

"I can't do this", she repeats. "I'm sorry Fitz. I just can't. I don't know anymore. I'm so confused. I don't know who to believe, I don't know who to trust. I thought I could believe in you, I thought I could trust in you. But now, I don't know.."

"Livvie", he says breathlessly. She can hear him crumbling. "Livvie, please don't do this. I need you. I need you in my life. Baby, please don't do this to me, to us. You have to believe me, you have to trust me", the words are nearly inaudible being smothered by his tears.

"Fitz...", she can't bare to hear him cry. It'll only make it harder for her, for them. "I'm sorry".

She hears the line click and she removes the phone from her ear, placing it back on the counter. Tears form in her eyes when reality hits. She's heartbroken and she's pretty sure he is too. It pained her to have to do this to him, but she knew what was best for her. She didn't know if it was temporary or permanent, but she needed a break from him.

Suddenly, she felt herself getting queasy. With one hand to her stomach and another covering her mouth, she sprinted to the bathroom, lifting the toilet seat and dropping to her knees to unleash the contents of her stomach.

AN: Okay, so it took me awhile to write this chapter. This was one of those chapters where I knew how I wanted it to go, but I just couldn't figure out how to lead up to it lol. Funny enough, I wrote it and it just didn't sit well with me, so I went back and added more. I seriously have moments when I can't think of shit to write, and then other moments where my creative juices are flowing like crazy. Anywho, I think I got my mojo back! Lol

So, let's catch up. Fitz, Amanda, and Olivia have all seen the tape. The tape affects them and their individual cases differently. Liv's name is possibly clear, the agents suspect that Amanda might be lying, and Fitz's side of the story is confirmed. Now, I do apologize if my story doesn't match up as well as it would with a real court case (I'm using Google to the best of my abilities here! lol).

ScandalFanfic: thanks so much! I will definitely keep that in mind if I hit another road block!

Guest: Thank you so much for your words of encouragement!

Oceans00711girl: Yes, Liv has his back, no matter how mad she is at him

Scandalised: Thank you! And yes, Tough Liv is back! I put the scene with the detectives in simply for that reason. They love to interrogate people and make them doubt themselves, causing issues in the case, like a recent SVU episode that was on earlier this month (with the gay, black male music teacher accused of assaulting his students). I'm like how Mellie blends in with the story and it's possible we might be seeing more of her.

Lagub: Thank you! My heart shattered when I saw that he built her a house. I think someone's been tipping Shonda off because a LOT of the plots and predictions in some of these stories have been popping up in the episodes. Hmmm... *side eye*... who's the mole?! Lol

BeckyPo: Well, the video reveals a lot, and Mellie was professional enough to watch it. I like this mature and respectable Mellie.

Cleo: In reference to the detectives, I will just say... I forgot about them lol! Minor plot hole!

walkiethokie: OLITZ IS ENDGAME!

JFJD, Aunt Dee94, LoreneMichelle41, Guest, evoria: Thank you all so much!

To all of my readers, thanks so much for sticking it out with me and for your lovely reviews, comments, and suggestions!
