'Something's brewing. Something big.' Rachel mused
'So you feel it too?' Jennifer asked
'We all do. Everyone knows that something's about to go down. Patrols have been increased and missions have decreased.' Toni agreed
'We're keeping an eye on things from this front. So far no one's approached us. We're thinking about leaving the base for awhile. There's an old apartment building near the school.' Elliot shared
'So long as you guys stay safe. Remember you can always come to one of the Towers if you need to. We'll protect you. You're family.' Rachel assured
'We will. Now I have to go help pack. We're setting up emergency bags.' Elliot said before leaving the connection
'I'm scared. What if something happens to anyone? Even one the annoying people? They're still our friends, they're still our comrades.' Toni worried
'We're all worried. We're no strangers to worry though. We worry about someone dying in battle all the time. So we'll carry on as normal. We'll just spend more time with everyone. Maybe we should move the kids somewhere safe.' Jennifer insisted
'They'll be upset. And they're more of an asset if they stay with us. And we can better protect them. If it comes to it then we will send them away. Them and anyone else we need to. If we have to we can even send them all away.' Rachel offered
'They'd never abandon their posts. We might have to. We should prep the other dimension.' Jennifer agreed
'I feel bad for the civilians. But we have to protect our family. After all, we'll be staying to protect them.' Toni sighed
'We should get back to our teams. Alert us and the leaders if you find something. Be careful.' Rachel said ending the connection
"Are you okay Rachel?" Richard asked when he found her in the computer room
"Yeah. There's just a weird feeling around everything. Something's going to happen Richard. And I have no idea what." Rachel worried
"We'll figure it out. Trust me." Richard assured
"What if its too late?" Rachel whispered
"Its never too late. It never has been before and it won't be now." Richard insisted
"But what if it is? What if someone gets hurt? What if someone dies? What if we can't save everyone? What if we have to choose between saving ourselves, saving our family, and saving the civilians?" Rachel babbled
"It won't be too late. We just won't let it be. And if someone gets hurt then we'll patch them up. No one will die. We won't let it happen. We will save everyone we can. And we will always save our family. And then we will do our best to save the civilians. They are who we swore to protect but our family comes first. They always have. You know that." Richard answered
