A/N: So it's been a year since I updated this story; won't happen again. Enjoy! =)

Angela walked into Tony's apartment that afternoon to find the apartment empty. She still had her key from the brief time she lived in Iowa a few months ago.

"Tony?" She asked and walked around. Angela went into the kitchen and the bedroom but realized that Tony wasn't there. "He must still be at the school." She walked over to the phone and dialed. She picked up the whole phone and walked around the couch to sit down.

"Hello?" A female voice said on the other end of the phone.

"Mother? I wanted to tell you I got to Iowa alright. I'm in Tony's apartment right now."

"So what are you calling me for? You have the apartment to the two of you. Let nature take its course," Mona said. Angela could tell from the way she said it that her mother was smiling. She was sure that she was probably standing in the living room leaning against the table the phone sat on.

"Mother," she warned, "Tony isn't even here."

"Oh? Where is he?"

"He's probably still at the school. But I don't want him to know I'm here. I want to surprise him. I wasn't supposed to be here this early, but I had to come and see him. I put some of my stuff in my suitcase, but I have to go back, get the rest of my stuff and the jag."

"That's an 18 hour drive Angela." Mona stated.

"I know Mother, but if I'm going to live here all the time I need my clothes and everything."

"Have you found a building for your agency yet?"

"No, but I'm going to look tomorrow while Tony's at the school. I'm going to call some real estate places here in town and see what's available."

"You sound like you have it all figured out."

"I hope so," Angela replied, "I really hope so." Then she heard the door move. "I've gotta go Mother. Talk to you soon." She hung up the phone and walked around the table to put it down. Then the door opened and Tony walked in. "Hi Tony."

"Hey Angela," he said looking down at his books, "Angela?!" He looked up and rushed over to her. "What are you doing here? I thought you weren't coming for a while." Angela shrugged.

"I wasn't going to, but I missed you. I wanted to see you."

"I'm glad you did." Tony put his stuff down and put his arm around her back and pulled her closer to him.

"Me too." He kissed her passionately for almost a minute, until Angela broke away to be able to breathe. "I've missed that." She stated and he smiled.

"I'm glad to have you here. Things have been pretty dull without you around here."

"You had Candy." Angela smiled and Tony nodded.

"I do, but I love you," he took her hand and extended her arm so he could look at her engagement ring, "Candy never agreed to marry me."

"Oh Tony." She stepped forward and kissed him.

"I want to take you to dinner." Angela shook her head.

"You don't have to do that."

"But I want to Angela. It's not very often my fiancé surprises me with a visit; after she agrees to move with me to Iowa." He replied.

"Okay." She said with a sigh.

"This is one of the nicer buildings in town." A woman said as she and Angela walked through the empty office together.

"I love it." Angela looked around. It was a little smaller than her office in New York; but she didn't think her agency in Iowa would have to be as large. "I'll take it. How much is it?"

"Well, the rent on the building would be about $250 a month." Angela looked around once more before she pulled her wallet out of the purse straddling her body. She grabbed a wad of hundreds and handed them to the woman.

"That could cover a few months." Angela stated. The woman nodded quickly as she counted it.

"Yes, you are covered for the next four months ma'am." She looked at Angela. "I think I'll be going for now. I have to take this to the bank and I can have a receipt for you later." She walked towards the door and Angela turned to her.

"Thank you." The woman walked out of the office and Angela looked around smiling. It was a quaint little place. Her new office was about the size of her kitchen back home. She could imagine getting a desk in there. When she walked back into the outer office, she thought about hiring a secretary to help her. That's when the pain started to tear into her. Mona had been her secretary for the last six years. As much as she and her mother argued, she would deny the good times they had together. But the office was about fifteen by twenty feet. It was longer than it was wide. Smiling, Angela held onto her purse and felt the key in her hand. Then she walked out and headed back to the apartment. That was one thing to get used to. Angela had lived in her spacious home her entire life, and now she was confined to an apartment.

"It's definitely a change. All of this is a big change." Angela thought.

A few days later, Tony was sitting at the kitchen table looking over a play book when Angela walked in.

"I have to thank Dr. Graham next time I see him." Angela beamed. Tony looked up at her.

"Why?"

"Because I have a new client because of him. I have business from the school, plus one of his friends came to my office today. He has a campaign he wants me to look over."

"Oh really?" He smiled and looked up at her as she shined. "You are really doing well here aren't you? You're liking it?" Angela nodded.

"Some of the campaigns are smaller than what I dealt with in New York and certainly smaller than our national campaigns for Wallace and McQuade, but I'm really happy." She walked over and kissed him. "What are we doing for dinner?" He looked up at her and then over at the clock.

"Oh I'm so sorry Angela. Between baseball practice and grading papers I completely forgot about dinner." Angela walked over to the cupboard.

"That's fine, I'll cook something." Tony jumped up when she said that.

"No, it's alright." She turned to look at him as he spoke.

"Is there a reason you don't want me to cook?" She raised her eyebrows.

"Yes, you've worked so hard in the office today. You are basically starting up a completely new business. We haven't done that in years. You need to take the time to rest."

"Are you sure that's the only reason?" Tony nodded half-heartedly. He didn't have the heart to tell her that she still can't cook; but he thought it would be nice for them to have dinner together. This is their first dinner together since she came to Iowa. Lately if he was home, she was gone; and if she was home he was gone. It was getting tedious and difficult; but at least they were together.
