Me: Finally I updated.

Gene: Yeah, we missed you.

Me: Awe, I missed you guys too!

Mai: Silver doesn't own Ghost Hunt.

Naru: R&R.

Mai's POV:

Rubbing my eyes tiredly, I dragged my body out of my nice, warm, comfy bed to go serve the slave driver that is my boss. About five minutes ago Ayako had come in and literally ripped the covers off of my bed and forced me to get up. 'I swear if he woke me up because he wants tea, I'm going to strangle him.' I thought darkly, already feeling the negative energy that I was giving off as I approached the door. Calming myself down before I made a scene, I opened it and was happy to be greeted by the team's smiles, all except for Naru and Lin that is.

"About time you got here Mai." Monk said, ruffling my hair as I stumbled into base.

"Sorry, I had a little bit of trouble falling asleep." I said, yawning a bit to add emphasis in hopes that Naru would notice and take it easy, or pitty, on me today. Then again, knowing what Kagy and I had planned, that was probably not going to happen.

"Was it the ghost?" John asked, a worried tone in his voice. Monk and Ayako both reflected the same while Naru looked at me expectedly as Lin pretended like nothing was even said. Sighing at their responses, mainly Naru's though, I shook my head, slightly wishing it had actually been that instead of the two and a half hour shopping spree I had been on late in last night.

"No, it was Ayako's snoring." I said, speaking a bit of the truth, cause once I had gotten back to the room, it had taken me another half hour just to try and drown out her snoring before I could fall asleep.

"Hey!" she defended, her cheeks turning red at my comment. Soon the room became filled with laughter as Monk nearly doubled over from what I had said.

"I can believe that." He finally managed, trying to regain his breath from his long string of giggles. Hearing a snap echo in the room I saw the fiery red priestess shoot up from her seat on the couch and come face to face with the one who was laughing at her.

"What was that you dirty old man?" she asked, raising her purse threateningly.

"What, hard of hearing ya old crone?"

"Hey you guys, I brought breakfast!" Gene announced, opening the door and coming in with a large tray of food and plates arranged in a style similar to a buffet so that we could take what we wanted. "Kaguya's bringing the rest."

"Mai, tea." Naru said, closing the book he had been reading when I walked in as his attention, as well as everyone else's, turned to the food brought before us.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah." I sighed, knowing that he was going to be asking for the stuff sooner or later. I would have preferred if it had been later, but hey, it's Naru. What's a girl supposed to do?

"Did someone call for tea, a medium, and a researcher?" Kagy asked, coming through the opened door with another tray full of yummy smelling food and the last two parts of the team to make SPR, well, SPR.

"Yasu, Masako!" I exclaimed, racing over to them and giving them each a hug in welcome.

"Nice of you two to join the party." Monk teased, keeping his fair distance away from Yasu as he knew that he was going to be in for some teasing by the boy sooner or later.

"Ms. Hara, can you sense anything?" Naru asked before anyone could say anything else to our two newly reunited members. Taking a moment, Masako, brought her sleeve up to her mouth and then shock her head in response.

"Not as of this moment. It feels to be distant yet here at the same time."

"Great, so you're gonna be useless to us then?" Ayako teased, giving the young medium a hard time like she always did when it came to her sight and how unreliable it could be sometimes. However, instead of getting all huffy like she used to do, instead her eyes sparkled and revealed the smirk that she kept hidden from the rest of us.

"No more then you are Matsuzaki-san." She said before joining us down at the table for the wonderful breakfast that was made for us.

"You brat!" the fiery shrine maiden cried, making her usual comment to the catty medium that has become a very close friend to me in the month Naru had left for England.

"Now, now, I think that the information is still useful." John said, intervening before Masako had a chance to retaliate with yet another one of her many come back, I swear she has a million of them for any situation like Naru does, and possibly turn the teasing into a cat fight.

"It could be because some of the activity is down on the beach itself and not just the house." Kagy said, helping out to defend John's opinion. The priest threw her a grateful look which she just waved off, before going back and taking a sip from her chocolate milk.

"True, but it's not as bad as it is in the house." Gene added, giving her a look as if to remind her about what had happened just last night as well as deepen her point of the beach's activity.

"Well then how about everyone goes down to investigate?" I asked, sticking to the plan that we had come up with while shopping. Looking at him with baited breaths, the team awaited his answer with a look of hope in their eyes.

"I approve of the idea, but not everyone needs to go." Naru said, nodding in agreement to my idea, which made me fist pump mentally for him taking the bait, while at the same time cursing his lack of fun.

"Oh trust me, you'll want everyone. It affects a wide spread, right Kane?" Kagy quickly covered, looking at her boyfriend for some back which he gladly gave. Giving Naru a small smile and a look of pity he nodded his head.

"She's right Noll."

"Fine, but we'll only go down for an hour or so for pure investigation purposes." He said after a moment of considering his options. The team, although surprisingly didn't cheer like I had expected, smiled happily at this and before anyone talk about the stuff to do along the shore like Kagy moved in like a viper for the kill.

"What about swim suits?" she asked, making everyone pause and look at her as if she had a screw loose.

"Why would we need those?" Monk asked with a look of confusion and slight excitement on his face.

"Because the activity is close to the water, and sometimes in it." she explained, shrugging her shoulders as if it were the most common knowledge to have.

"So in short you're gonna get wet either way." Gene said, throwing an apologetic look his brother's way. Naru sighed at this, but then smirked, most likely at the little tid-bit that we had been smart enough to take care of the other night.

"We don't have swim suits."

"But I do. I'm sure I can find something to fit you." Kagy said, a smirk of her own on her lip while Naru's got slapped off his face. Huffing a bit to himself, he closed his eyes, bracing himself for what he was about to say.

"Fine."

"Whoo-hoo!" Monk cheered, fist pumping the air in excitement. Normally if he had done something like that Ayako would have hit him over the head for getting too excited over nothing, but an ecstatic smile was all over her face.

"First day and it's on the beach." Yasu agreed, high fiving the monk it his mutual excitement.

"Remember it's strictly for research." He reminded, crossing his arms as he pouted at being forced to go down to the beach to make sure we actually did our work. Not that it mattered though since it was all just going to melt away into a nice beach day for the team.

"Yep, all work, no play." I sighed, looking to Kagy through all the chaos. A smile was on her face at watching everyone, but when her eye met mine she gave me a thumbs up to move onto stage two of our plan.

Me: Yay, it's done!

Naru: Took you long enough.

Me: Well I'm a busy girl.

Mai: Please review everyone!
