During my life, I always tend to underestimate the abilities of Annabeth. I have seen her do so many mind-blowing things, yet for some reason I doubt her in life and death situations. I guess its some sort of boyfriend-syndrome.
So when I saw her running over to Luke, I immediately assumed that she was making a mistake. The mistake was mine.
"Annabeth, thank you. I knew you would trust me" Luke said, while hugging Annabeth.
"No, thank you" Annabeth said "A monster has never made itself so easy to kill before"
"Huh?" Luke said, but his realization came to late. Annabeth had already taken out her knife, that ironically the real Luke had given to her. She stabbed him, just like she had done so many times. Effortlessly. Right in the "sweet spot" as Annabeth always called it. The monster disintegrated, just like expected.
"Not bad" I said
"What, you thought I actually believed that was actually Luke" said Annabeth
"Nope, I believed that you would come through in the end"
"That explains your screaming"
"Yea, well I was just you know, um acting"
"Acting like a teen girl, who just saw Justin Bieber?"
"Haha, very funny. Want to get on with saving the world"
"Yeah, I guess that we could do that"
"We definitively have the experience to do that type of stuff"
"OK lets keep on moving"
"Well, we never decided where to go to next"
"Trouble seems to find us wherever we go. So we just have to keep on moving" said Annabeth, as we continued our journey to ... I guess some more trouble.
