My idea was that once we got to Olympus the gods would just immediately kill him.
"Annabeth, send us to Olympus!" I yelled, and after a few seconds we began too go up
"Fools" the monster screamed, and went on full on attack mode. He went charging at me, but he was not even fighting anymore, just attacking. I threw Riptide as fast as I could at his heart (assuming monsters have hearts, that is). It went right through disintegrating the monster.
"Why couldn't you just do that at the beginning of the fight" said Annabeth while taking her hat off.
"It was too big of a risk to lose my weapon, but at that point it was my only choice" I explained
"Oh... that makes sense" Annabeth said
15 seconds later we arrived at Olympus. We immediately knew something was wrong. Olympus felt so dark, and soon we noticed that it was full of monsters, but no gods in sight.
Annabeth immediately put on her Yankee cap. She grabbed my hand and ran to the corner of a small room.
"What is going on" I whispered
"Apparently, this is a way bigger problem than we thought. If these guys were able to take over Olympus this quietly, who knows what they are capable of"
"Who could have done this though? I mean we have already taken out Gaea and Kronos"
"I guess you are about to find out"
"What do you mean. Me. What about us?"
"We only have one Yankee hat, so only one of us can go. And I choose you."
"But, Annabeth who will protect you?"
"I can protect myself"
We instantly kissed and kissed and kissed, and maybe a bit more than that. But eventually it was time for me to go.
"Love you" Annabeth said
"Love you too" I said, as I began my journey to see what had happened to the gods.
