Disclaimer: I do not own Percy Jackson
After a couple a close calls, I made it. The throne room was everything I had remembered and more. But there was one problem. He was there.
Just as I had hoped he did not seem to notice me because of all of the powerful aura in the room. But that did not mean he wouldn't notice a stupid demigod running around the room.
Just as Annabeth had predicted, on top of each god's throne was a key. I only needed one of them.
He looked as powerful and evil as ever, but that didn't matter at the moment. I had the element of surprise on my side. Ares's throne was exactly what you would expect. Ugly and Bloody. After looking at it up close, I feared it was actually made of human flash. Focus, I told myself. On a perfect jump, i could probably land on the throne without making much noise. But when was I ever perfect. Focus, I told myself. And I ran.
My running start was as perfect as I had hoped. I was moving full speed, while making limited noise. Then came the jump. I had to time it perfectly so I could get my hands to grab it, without my body flying full force into it.
I jumped got a hold on the throne, and after a well practiced chin-up. I was on top of throne. I felt like yelling out "I'm the king of the world!", but then the unexpected happened. I slipped.
"Who is there!" Kronos yelled.
Thanks for reading. Please review. I can almost guarantee I will finish the story this week. I think after this I will start a new story. Please post advice on what Percy's next adventure should be.
