I don't own anything except the laptop I wrote this on. Enjoy!

It was early in the morning at the Ranger Union. The sun's bright light was just barely starting to show, when it seemed like all the bells of Almia were ringing.

In the Ranger dormitories, the staff and rangers present were waking up and heading to their posts, while the night shift went to bed, save two heavy sleepers who were still in their bunks.

"Should we wake them up?" Keith said with a grin while putting on his uniform.

"Let them sleep a few more minutes. They'll wake up."

Not long after the two rangers left the room, the alarm clock next to Kate and Kellyn's bunk bed ringed again, waking up the two heavy sleepers, who quickly became alarmed as they noticed the time and realized they'd be late.

"Oh no! We overslept!" Kellyn said as they leaped out of their beds, scrambling for their uniforms as fast as they could. Kate gave a quick brush to her hair, and they rushed out without even taking the time to make their beds at least seem neat.

Grabbing a quick snack on their way out, they sprint down the Union's hallways into the meeting room, running in and stopping, panting and taking a moment to get some breath, before realizing everyone was staring at them.

"We're... We're late, right?" Kate said, before the rest of them started to laugh – Even Hastings and Erma were grinning a bit.

"Not at all, you're right on time! Got up a little late this morning, didn't you?" Hastings said, gesturing at their uniforms.

As Kate and Kellyn looked down, only then did they realize what was making everyone laugh so much: The put on the other's uniform!

Hasting beckoned them over. "Now then, no time for a wardrobe change. We've had an emergency call from Pueltown, and I want both of you over there now to investigate."

The two rangers looked at their uniforms, embarassed. "Like this? Can't we just change real qui-"

Hastings cut Kellyn off. "There's no time. Now hurry, there's a pair of Staraptors waiting outside, courtesy of Wendy."

The two reluctantly left the Union, still a bit red in the face as they landed in Pueltown.
