"Yeah, sure. So... next time dinner?" Alaric asked.

"Yeah, that would be great." Dr. Fell said.

"Cool. Take care." Alaric said.

"Bye. Thanks." She replied, leaving the Grill

"Oh my god!" Shiloh exclaimed, taking the spot that the doctor had recently given up.

"No." Alaric said.

"Oh come on! Jenna's gone for like two days." Shiloh said.

"We're just friends." Alaric said.

"Who?" Shiloh asked, folding her arms over her chest.

"Who's that?" Damon asked, approaching the pair.

"My doctor." Alaric answered.

"Just your doctor? I thought you two were friends?" Shiloh asked.

"She's a doctor?" Damon asked.

"Apparently." Shiloh said.

"What's the damage?" Damon asked.

"No damage." Alaric replied.

"Come on, Ric, a fact of life. A girl that hot, that smart... damage." Damon said.

"Right, so are you calling me ugly or dumb? Or is both?" Shiloh asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I'm calling you damaged." Damon smirked.

"Ha, you're one to talk." Shiloh rolled her eyes.

"Can we get back to Ric's damaged girl." Damon said.

"She's not my anything." Ric said.

"Jenna's smart and pretty." Shiloh muttered.

"Would you relax, I'm not cheating on Jenna." Ric said, then turned to Damon. "Her ex called her a psycho case the other day."

"Yeah, but it comes from her ex, doesn't count." Damon said.

"Yeah, I guess you're right." Alaric said.

"Whatever, I gotta get back to work." Shiloh said, heading towards the back room.

"Hey, pup. Wait up." Damon said, tagging along. "So... Caroline?" He said.

"She's fine now." Shiloh said.

"I'm sorry I wasn't there." Damon said.

"I'm sure Elena had something super important going on." Shiloh said.

"Shy-" Damon sighed.

"There was nothing you could've done." Shiloh said.

"Yeah. So Klaus just... gave Caroline his blood. No strings attached?" Damon asked.

"No strings attached." Shiloh confirmed.

"Why would he have Tyler bite her just to turn around and cure her?" Damon asked.

"I don't think it was about her, I think it was about Tyler. He was showing Tyler who was in control. Caroline was just collateral." Shiloh said.

"I guess he'd kill anyone to make a point." Damon said.

"A couple months ago, so would you." Shiloh said.

"You didn't just compare me to him." Damon deadpanned.

oOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo

"Stefan, can we please just talk for like two seconds?" Shiloh asked, nearly jogging to keep up with the older vampires fast pace.

"Make it quick." Stefan said. "I just shook Lexi, I don't need another 'friend' that's worried about me."

"Thanks. You're such a great guy." Shiloh said sarcastically. "I need your help."

"With what?" Stefan asked, entering the boarding house.

"Stefan this is serious!" Shiloh exclaimed.

"What is it now? You don't have a dress for the school dance?" Stefan asked sarcastically.

"Ya know what, Stef? You can be as big of an ass as you want but just remember, I'm one of the few people in this town that can stand to be around you for more than ten minutes right now. I'm thinking that at some point, you're gonna need someone on your side." Shiloh snapped.

"Shiloh. What do you want?" Stefan asked.

"I'm rather curious myself."

"What are you doing here, Klaus?" Stefan asked, his eyes landing on the original.

"Enjoying our stalemate." Klaus said.

"What do you want?" Stefan asked.

"The question is what you want? My hybrids left town as you demanded, so please tell me what I need to do to get my family back." Klaus said.

"Well, see... Klaus... I'm not negotiating." Stefan said.

"And you understand, that holding them indefinitely is the same thing as dropping them in the ocean?" Klaus said.

"No, No. You leave Mystic Falls and then give me call in a few years and we'll talk." Stefan said.

"I can give you another chance. Just one more. Let's make a reasonable deal." Klaus said.

"Or what? You make one move and I will drop-" Stefan threatened. Klaus let out an amused laugh, cutting Stefan off.

"Yes, right. Crazy Stefan. How is that working out for you? Any friends left?" Klaus asked.

"He has a point." Shiloh sang.

"What do you need help with?"Stefan asked annoyed.

"Can vervain kill a vampire?" Shiloh asked.

"What?" Stefan asked confused.

"I know it can hurt like hell, but can it kill?" Shiloh asked.

"As far as I know, it can't kill... Why?" Stefan asked.

"Well, you see, that's why I asked you. You don't care, Stefan. Don't tell anyone. Top secret." Shiloh said.

oOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo

"Ric, I have an idea." Shiloh said.

"Should I be scared?" Alaric asked.

"Not for your own safety." Shiloh said. "But I do need your help."

"With what?" Alaric asked.

"I need vervain." Shiloh said.

"Why do you need vervain?" Lexi asked.

"How long have you been here?" Shiloh asked.

"Not long." Lexi shrugged.

"Lost Stefan?" Alaric asked.

"Nah, giving him a break. We both need one." Lexi said.

"What are you doing here?" Alaric asked as Damon entered.

"Your doctor vervained me and then she bloodjacked me." Damon cut to the point.

"What? I mean, when did you even see her?" Alaric asked.

"When I went to the hospital, to accuse her of killing her ex-boyfriend. Which by the way, very sensitive subject." Damon said.

"Didn't see that coming." Shiloh said.

"With everything that tries to kill us, you didn't see that coming?" Lexi asked.

"Point taken." Shiloh said. "I gotta go call Jer. I'll tell Jenna you said hi, Ric." Shiloh said, taking out her phone and walking to the door.

"Can we talk?" Damon asked.

"Sure." Shiloh agreed, leaving the door open for Damon.

"Outside." Damon said, glancing back towards the door.

"Lexi's not gonna listen in. Right Lexi?" Shiloh asked.

"Right!" Lexi called through the door. Damon rolled his eyes, taking Shiloh's hand and pulling her with him. Neither spoke until they were out of the building.

"So?" Shiloh asked.

"I think you should be more careful." Damon said seriously, his icy blue eyes piercing Shiloh's.

"What are you talking about?" Shiloh asked.

"Klaus is obviously interesting in you." Damon said. "That can't be good."

"Thanks for your concern, but I can handle it myself." Shiloh said.

"But you don't need too do it by yourself. I'm here for you, Shiloh." Damon said.

"As of now, I'm pretty sure Klaus doesn't want to hurt me. I mean, he saved Caroline cause I asked him too." Shiloh said.

"Yeah, which is why you should be worried. You don't think he's planning something?" Damon asked.

"Honestly? No. What could he possible want with me. He's an original hybrid and I'm a new vampire." Shiloh said.

"He wanted Stefan." Damon said.

"He wanted the ripper." Shiloh said.

"He wanted to make Stefan be the ripper." Damon countered. "I gotta go." Damon said, reading a text.

"Can we talk later?" Shiloh asked, biting her lip nervously.

"Of course, I'll pick you up as soon as I'm done." Damon said.

"See ya later, then." Shiloh said, waving Damon off and pulling her phone out again, she quickly dialed Jeremy's number and put the phone to her ear.

"Shiloh?" Jeremy's voice came through the phone. "Where've you been, I was trying to call you all day. I wanted to apologize."

"Apologize for what?" Shiloh asked.

"For leaving in the middle of everything." Jeremy said.

"Don't worry about it. I was kinda thinking of joining you to be honest." Shiloh said.

"Rough day?" Jeremy asked.

"You could say that." Shiloh said.

"I heard what happened to Caroline." Jeremy said.

"Yeah. Klaus cured her." Shiloh said.

"After he had her bit." Jeremy said.

"I'm not defending him. I was actually hoping you would have an idea of what the hell is going on." Shiloh said.

"You think he's planning something?" Jeremy asked.

"I honestly don't know. I mean, what can he gain from giving Caroline his blood?" Shiloh asked.

"Maybe he's trying to get you on his side." Jeremy said.

"Then why put her in danger in the first place. Why make it so obvous that her life means nothing to him?" Shiloh said.

"I... don't know." Jeremy said.

"You don't think he actually did it just to..." Shiloh trailed off.

"To what? To be nice?" Jeremy asked.

"Jer, can you just be my best friend and listen to my boy problems like you use to, before all this started." Shiloh said.

"Boy problems? Really?" Jeremy asked.

"Yes. He's confusing." Shiloh said.

"He's an evil, murdering, savage hybrid." Jeremy said.

"Yeah, got that much." Shiloh said. "I'm not saying I wanna date him, Jer."

"Then what are you saying?" Jeremy asked.

"I'm saying... I don't know. Just help." Shiloh pleaded. Jeremy let out a sigh.

"Please tell me you don't like him." Jeremy said.

"I don't. I so don't. After everything he did to us. He killed Lexi's boyfriend. But... Do you think it's possible to reason with him? Maybe we can just talk to him and get him to leave us alone." Shiloh said.

"Yeah, that'll work." Jeremy said sarcastically.

"Can you please be more helpful." Shiloh demanded.

"Shy, I love you. You're like a sister to me. You see things in people that no one else does and... That can be a good thing. As much as I hate to admit it, you brought out the good in Damon. Who knows, maybe you can do the same for Klaus." Jeremy said.

"What about Damon?" Shiloh asked.

"What about him?" Jeremy said.

"I doubt he'll be happy with me befriending Klaus." Shiloh pointed out.

"He won't be. But he has no right to be. You guys are just friends now... if you're even that. And you can be friends with whoever you want." Jeremy said.

"I kinda wish Damon would just... go back to who he was. I miss being with him, Jer." Shiloh said.

"I miss Bonnie. But I'm not gonna even try to get her back. Cause she deserves better then that. Trust me, I've been on the other end. And I cheated on Bonnie because I still had feelings for Anna, even if I realize it was a mistake now, doesn't change what I did." Jeremy said.

"I know. How're you doing with that anyway?" Shiloh asked.

"I cheated on my girlfriend with the ghost of my exgirlfriend. I don't know how to feel." Jeremy said.

"Do you still like Anna?" Shiloh asked.

"I thought I did. But now..." Jeremy let out a sigh.

"Now that you lost Bonnie, you're started to rethink it." Shiloh said.

"Yeah." Jeremy said.

"All this relationship talk makes me feel kinda like a normal teenager. Minus the hybrid and ghost parts of course." Shiloh said.

"Ever miss being normal teenagers?" Jeremy asked.

"When were we ever normal?" Shiloh asked.

"I guess you have a point." Jeremy said.

"I do kinda miss being... Human." Shiloh said.

"If it makes you feel any better... I think you're good at being a vampire. Some people can't handle it but you... You didn't change. You're still you." Jeremy said.

"Thanks, Jer. I really needed to hear that." Shiloh confessed.

"I'm always here for you, Shiloh." Jeremy said.

"Yeah, I know." Shiloh smiled. "Even if it doesn't seem like it sometimes... I'm here for you too, Jer Bear."

oOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo

"Do you think that I could be a ripper, Damon?" Shiloh asked. The two vampires were at the Salvator boarding house, Damon standing in front of the fire while Shiloh sat in one of the chairs.

"What?" Damon asked surprised.

"Maybe that's why Klaus is interested. Maybe he sees something... dark in me." Shiloh said.

"Then he's an idiot. You're the nicest person I know." Damon said.

"Stefan was the nicest guy I ever knew. Now..." Shiloh trailed off.

"Hey, just because Stefan turned his emotions off doesn't mean he's a bad guy. You're smarter than him, Shy. You wouldn't kill just to kill." Damon said.

"Oh, you're still alive. I assume, that means Klaus didn't get his coffins." Stefan announced, entering the room.

"Don't look so happy, I was only able to get one of them out in time. The locked one." Damon said.

"Probably a good choice." Stefan said.

"Locked one?" Shiloh asked.

"Yeah, kinda all we know about it. You know, if you're banking on Bonnie's mom to open it, you're screwed. She doesn't have any powers." Damon said.

"Doesn't surprise me. Its been that kind of night." Stefan said.

"We should probably talk." Damon said, holding up a silver dagger.

"What did you do?" Stefan asked shocked.

"Please tell me that's not Rebekah's." Shiloh said.

"Of course not. It's everybodys favorite not-so-noble original." Damon said.

"Elijah." Shiloh said.
