"Drink." Damon ordered, handing Shiloh a glass of blood.
"Why?" Shiloh asked.
"We're celebrating. Stefan, dear brother of mine, join us won't you?" Damon said.
"Should wait until Klaus is dead." Stefan replied.
"Why are you so extra broody? Did you see the way we stood up to Elena? I like you on my team. Must have driven her nuts." Damon said.
"I clearly missed something." Shiloh said.
"You were probably busy with Klaus." Stefan said.
"Right, what'd I miss then? What's Elena doing now?" Shiloh asked.
"Trying to ruin a perfectly good plan." Damon said.
"And that plan would be?" Shiloh asked. Damon opened his mouth to reply but was cut off.
"Top secret, sorry." Stefan said.
"Seriously?" Shiloh raised an eyebrow. "Does everyone think I'm just gonna worship the Mikealsons or something?" Shiloh exclaimed, turning on her heel and marching out.
oOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo
"Is Shiloh with you?" Damon asked through the phone.
"Yeah and she's pissed. What'd you do to her?" Alaric replied.
"Shiloh, Stefan is just being his extra broody self." Damon said.
"Yeah. He doesn't trust me." Shiloh said.
"Well..." Damon said.
"Should I just give you the phone?" Alaric asked Shiloh.
"No, I don't want to talk to him." Shiloh snapped.
"Oh come on! Stefan said it, not me!" Damon said.
"Then tell me the plan." Shiloh said.
"Look, I know you guys are in the middle of something right now, but I haven't seen Elena since this morning." Alaric said.
"Did you try calling her?" Shiloh asked.
"She isn't answering." Alaric said.
"I've got nothing better to do, I'll be the Elena search and rescue this week." Shiloh sighed.
"I got it. I'll call you if I find anything." Damon said.
"Bye." Alaric said, hanging up.
"I hate him." Shiloh said.
"You don't hate him." Alaric said.
"Wanna bet?" Shiloh grumbled.
"I know he makes you mad, but he's just trying to help you." Alaric said.
"Please! Damon is just so insanely positive and jealous over everything that he has to go around treating me like a stupid little child that can't be trusted." Shiloh said. "I don't know what to do. I miss when he trusted me. I miss when I trusted him." Shiloh sighed.
"As difficult as it is to believe, Damon doing what he thinks is right." Alaric said.
"Well, he sucks at it." Shiloh said.
"I know." Alaric agreed.
"No more Damon talk. New topic, please." Shiloh said.
"Couldn't agree more, Love. Don't mind us. My brother and I are just here to let off some steam, right Kol?" Klaus said.
"Right." Kol agreed, grinning wildly as he sat next to his brother at the bar.
"Why don't you join us for a drink?" Klaus asked. Shiloh glanced back at Alaric who gave a disapproving look.
"Maybe another time." Shiloh said.
"Oh, come on, love. I've been in a coffin for over a hundred years. I'd rather enjoy having something better than my dear brother to look at all night. I'd enjoy your company quite a lot." Kol said.
"Kol." Klaus warned.
"I'll behave, brother. Don't worry, I know long from experience not to take what is yours." Kol said.
"I'm not his." Shiloh said.
"Then you're up for grabs?" Kol asked.
"Say another word, and I'll rip your lung out." Klaus said.
"Right, right." Kol waved.
"Shiloh." Alaric said.
"One drink couldn't hurt, right?" Shiloh asked.
"That's the spirit." Kol said, signaling the bartender and point towards Alaric and Shiloh.
"Uh, no thanks. I'm driving." Alaric said.
"Suit yourself mate." Kol said, holding his own glass up. "To new friendships." Kol tipped his head back and took a drink followed by Klaus and a tentative Shiloh.
"You sure this is a good idea?" Alaric said.
"No, but it's not a horrible idea." Shiloh said.
"I'll be at the pool table if you need me." Alaric said, getting up from his seat.
"Ric." Shiloh called after him.
"Let him go, he's a buzkill anyway." Kol said dismissively.
oOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo
"Isn't that your friend from last night?" Kol asked, pointing to Lexi as she walked into the bar.
"Lexi." Shiloh said, gaining the attention of the other blonde.
"Shiloh, didn't think I'd see you here with... Them." Lexi said.
"Wanna join in, love?" Kol asked.
"Um, no. I actually just decided to leave. Bye." Lexi said, turning on her heel.
"Lex?" Shiloh called after her friend confused.
"Allow me." Kol said, getting up from his seat and following Lexi out the door.
"I should probably go after him." Shiloh said.
"My brother is many things, but idiotic is not one of them. He won't do anything to harm your friend." Klaus said.
"Really? Cause you kinda did." Shiloh said.
"I'm pretty sure I'd remember." Klaus said.
"You remember the vampire you used in the ritual?" Shiloh asked.
"Right." Klaus said, dropping his eyes to his drink. "To be fair, it wasn't really her that I hurt."
"And it wouldn't really be me that Kol hurts. Not physically anyway." Shiloh said. "You knew it would still hurt me, that's why you did it. To punish me."
"Shiloh... I swear to you, that will never happen again. I was motivated by only my need to be free." Klaus said.
"Well... If I'm gonna forgive you... you're gonna have to buy me another drink." Shiloh said. Klaus grinned, opening his mouth to reply but stopped short, a painful groan escaping his mouth instead. He got to his feet, his weight supported on the bar and his hand clutching his chest. "Klaus?" Shiloh asked, getting to her feet as well, supporting some of his weight. "What's happening?"
"Kol!" Klaus growled, starting towards the exit with Shiloh his side.
"What did he do?" Shiloh asked. "How can I stop him?" As soon as Klaus was out of the grill, he disappeared from Shiloh's view. "...Klaus?" Shiloh asked, looking around. Sounds of a struggle came from a nearby alley followed by Klaus' voice.
"I should have killed you months ago." Klaus said.
"Do it. It's not going to stop Esther from killing you." Damon replied. Shiloh rushed over to the alley at vampire speed, standing by Klaus.
"What did you say about my mother?" Klaus asked.
"You didn't know I was friends with your mummy? Yeah, we have a lot in common. She hates you as much as I do." Damon said.
"Klaus!" Shiloh said, standing in front of Damon. "Please, you said you wouldn't."
"I said I wouldn't purposely try to hurt you." Klaus corrected. "And that was before I learned of your betrayed. Were you just trying to distract me so they could dagger Kol?"
"I didn't know. I swear, I didn't." Shiloh said.
"We still need them, Niklaus." Elijah said, appearing in the alley as well.
"What did mother do? What did she do, Elijah?" Klaus asked.
"You tell me where the witches are or I'll have my sister kill Elena right now." Elijah said, showing a picture of Elena on his phone.
"You told me we had until after nine." Damon said.
"I'm sure Rebekah will be more than happy to start her work early." Elijah said.
oOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo
"I totally understand how it feels now." Shiloh sighed.
"Annoying isn't it?" Jeremy asked.
"extremely. I'm a vampire for crying out loud, I'm some little girl that needs to be protected from the truth." Shiloh said.
"Man, must really suck." Jeremy said.
"Stop sounding so smug." Shiloh complained.
"You gotta admit it's kinda ironic." Jeremy said.
"Yeah, yeah. I get it. Karma sucks." Shiloh said.
"I'd love to hear the rest of this rant, but Jenna's gonna kill me if I don't get this project done. I'll talk to you tomorrow?" Jeremy asked.
"Okay, bye Jer Bear." Shiloh said.
"See ya." Shiloh ended the call and placed her phone on her bedside table.
"Hey." Lexi said, peeking into Shiloh's room.
"I don't really feel like talking to you right now." Shiloh snapped.
"Oh come on, I was just doing a favor for Stefan." Lexi said.
"Yeah, and once again I was left in the dark. I could've stalled Klaus if you guys let me know." Shiloh said.
"But would you have?" Lexi asked.
"What?" Shiloh asked.
"Would you actually stall Klaus while we killed his entire family?" Lexi asked.
"I..." Shiloh trailed off.
oOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo
Shiloh knocked twice on the door, biting her lip. "Shiloh?" Klaus said, opening the door.
"Klaus... Can we talk?" Shiloh asked tentatively. Klaus nodded his head once, moving to join her outside and closing the door behind him. He led Shiloh through the gardens in silence until they were a suitable distance from the house.
"Best we talk away from prying ears, I assume?" Klaus asked, glancing back at the house.
"I just wanted to say... I'm sorry about what happened tonight. I swear I didn't know what the others were planning." Shiloh said, dropping her eyes to the ground.
"I believe you." Klaus said.
"You do?" Shiloh asked surprised, her eyes snapping back up to Klaus.
"Why are you here apologizing for your friends actions?" Klaus asked. "They used you too, you realize. Tricking you into distracting me."
"I know. But lately... it seems you're the only person that actually trust me. And I don't want to change that." Shiloh said.
"Perhaps you should be choosing your friends more wisely." Klaus said.
