Not a quick update I know but I do try! Honestly! I've managed to get a part in the school's production of the Wizard of Oz so in order to celebrate I am giving you this chapter earlier than I thought it would be! Really I should be revising for exams in November but that is seriously boring! I am so dedicated to you guys so thank you to EVERYBODY who has EVER reviewed/favourited/followed either me or this creation of mine!
Enjoy!
Amelia
After being brought back to life Amelia had been hurried off of the battleground, her mind flying with all that she had heard recently. Annabeth. She'd heard that name somewhere before but couldn't think of as to where. But then again, she couldn't think of much at the moment as her vision was blurred and her muscles aching. She could make out the bed she was laying down on and the people milling about her, tending to other patients.
She was just drifting off into sleep when she heard her name being called frantically. She cracked open her eyes and saw a blurred face until she squinted and the face was Percy.
"Are you alright? I saw what happened and Annabeth told me that you died for a minute by her count. Has anyone attended to you yet?" he stopped to take a breath then exhaled slowly. He bent down and placed his arms around her and that was what set her off as everything she'd held back came crashing through the barrier she'd made. Tears cascaded down her face as she sobbed heavily onto Percy, not caring how loud she was being.
"It's okay," Percy soothed as if he knew why she was crying. She felt a hand rub up and down her back. Eventually she calmed down but she still couldn't focus on what Percy was saying to her.
Why did it have to be her? Why did she have to be some weird child whose father got killed and brother taken as leverage against her? It was just too much, too soon. It wasn't fair.
"Amelia?" she heard, she blinked her thoughts away then focused on the faces surrounding her. There was Percy, Nico and Annabeth but there was also one unfamiliar person. He was sitting in a wheelchair with a blanket carefully laid on his lap. His smile was gentle and it soothed her almost immediately, even before he started talking to her.
"Hello, Amelia," his voice was very bizarre to her and she didn't know why.
"Uh… Hello?" she replied before looking at Percy confused.
"Amelia, this is Chiron." The name was familiar and then it struck her. He was the one from Greek legend. The one who was given immortality in order to teach godlings how to fight. Wait, that didn't sound right at all… She looked up at Chiron expectantly.
"So where am I?" she asked randomly. Chiron's smile grew slightly,
"Amelia, welcome to Camp Half-blood,"
That's it for now! Not that long but it is all I could achieve in the little time I had before starting revision :(. Please review anyway!
