Thanks to all who reviewed the last chapter! As an update on my auditions, I got the Lion! I've been busy with rehearsals and now it's up to the actual performance this week… On the 4th, 5th and 6th of March. Eek! This chapter has been long awaited but here it is!

Amelia POV

"Camp Half-Blood? I've heard that somewhere before…" she murmured to herself.

"What was that?" Chiron prompted,

"Oh, nothing." She replied, smiling at him.

"Okay then. You must stay here until further notice unfortunately as your case is a very special one indeed. It would all be for your safety of course."

Percy smiled at her slightly as she looked at him, her thoughts collecting inside her head. She was being told to stay like a trained dog it seemed and she wasn't going to put up with it. She also needed to save her brother as well. Poor Alex. He hadn't asked for any of this but because of her… No. She couldn't start thinking like that. It wasn't fair on her and it wouldn't help the situation any more.

She looked up with a determination in her eyes.

"I can't stay. My brother is still out there somewhere being used as bait against me. How can I sit here comfortably knowing that anything could be happening to Alex?" She looked around at them all in turn before swinging her feet around, onto the floor and sitting up.

"What are you doing?" Percy asked, coming closer as she tried to stand. She pushed away his arms as they went to push her down.

"What do you think? I'm alright and do not need to stay in this…medical bay? There are obviously people who are in better need of my bed. Me on the other hand, won't stay cooped up here just because you tell me too. Age is obviously getting to you Chiron so don't even think of stopping me." She finished, feeling rotten for saying it but also feeling that she didn't have a choice. If she was to stay away from here then she'd have to make sure that they didn't care enough to keep her here. If that meant hurting their feelings then so be it. She could always apologise later.

She started to walk towards the opening when Annabeth stepped in front of her.

"I didn't save you just to let you kill yourself. If you leave this camp then you will die." She said. Not even attempting to soften the brutality that she said it with.

"Yes, I might. But then I might not. At least I'll die knowing that I did all I could do save Alex!" Amelia retorted loudly, making the medical bay go silent.

"But would you really?"

"Really what?"

"Be doing all you could to save him if you died half way? At least here you can learn how to fight and will go to sleep each night knowing that the best t his camp has to offer is searching for Alex."

Amelia was silent for a moment, taking in what Annabeth had just said. She could learn to fight properly here; she may be able to protect Alex for however long it takes for this nightmare to be over.

"But it wouldn't be me." She whispered. Feeling that it should be her out searching for him instead of people who she'd only just met. Annabeth gave her an understanding smile then stepped to the side.

"It's your choice," she whispered back. Giving a glare to Nico when he looked about to say something.

Now Amelia had been told she could go she wasn't sure that she should. These people had risked their lives just to keep her safe. They didn't even know her at first which set off questions in her head that she'd briefly thought of before.

"How did you know about me?" she asked. Turning around to face them with a questioning frown n her face. They all looked at each other then Percy stepped forward.

"We were told in a prophecy that a girl with blue eyes would suffer turmoil at the hands of unknown terrors. Not the exact words may I say. It only felt right and part of our path that we help you. Were we wrong to think that?"

If they hadn't come after her, she would have maybe been taken in place of her brother. On the other hand though she might not have and she may have still been stuck in her home town with no idea of where to start looking and no idea of what exactly was happening. That was an even scarier thought.

"No, you weren't wrong to come after me. I just… want my brother back." She finished, her eyes tearing up. He was nine. Too young to be in this situation. Too young to even begin to comprehend what exactly was going on. She couldn't imagine herself in his place. She felt arms around her and was shocked to find that it was Annabeth.

"Shhh," she whispered into her ear, "I know how it feels. But it'll be okay. I promise," she carried on. Her own voice trembling slightly as she spoke. Amelia felt the tears spilling hot and quick down her cheeks but refused to give into them entirely. She'd already cried enough and it was time to knuckle down into the situation that she'd been put in.

Annabeth let her go when the tears stopped coming and Amelia took a deep breath.

She looked straight at Chiron who'd been sat waiting patiently.

"I'm sorry about what I said to you." She said apologetically. Looking down as she shuffled her feet awkwardly.

"Don't worry about it. You were angry and I knew that it wasn't true, even if you haven't seen my true self.

"True self?"

"Come. Take a walk with me." He said, putting out his arm for her to go first. She looked at Annabeth, Percy and Nico for guidance. They all nodded encouragingly so she started walking outside with Chiron behind her. Once they'd gotten outside, Chiron led her up to a big house that had a country side look to it with a porch and three floors as well as an attic. They stopped just outside.

"Turn around," he ordered gently. She obliged and after a minute and lots of clambering noises behind her he told her to turn back around. When she did, the wheelchair was standing to one side and she gasped as she looked up and down him. He now had the bottom half of a horse and was double the height of her. She'd seen pictures like these in books when she was young.

"You're a…centaur?" she asked hesitantly, not wanting to offend him if she got it wrong.

"Exactly so my dear. This is my true form." She looked at the wheelchair beside him sceptically then the size of his body.

"But how do you fit into that thing?" she questioned suspiciously.

"Now that would be telling you all I have to offer. I'll leave it to your imagination." He replied, smiling slightly before turning and going into the house.

"There's somebody you have to meet." He shouted out to here. She sighed and followed in his wake. Taking in all she could before she met this person. There was a nice atmosphere and photo frames on the wall, all showing different people in different places.

"In here!" she heard Chiron say and followed his voice, arriving in a study. There was a grumpy looking man in a Hawaiian shirt sitting at the desk with a can of diet coke in front of him.

"Hello brat," he greeted her. She already didn't like him as he sized her up with his eyes, looking almost amused.

"This is Dionysus, also known as Mr D. He's the camp director." Chiron explained.

"Um, hello, I'm Amelia."

"Second name Amery?"

"No it's Amelia-"

"Did I ask that? Second name?" he picked up a pen and a form materialised on his desk. She stared at it as she answered his question,

"Benton. Amelia Benton."

"Amery Bexley." He murmured whilst writing something down.

"No sir, it's-"

"Did I ask you to speak?"

"No."

"Well shut up then." He ordered. The anger inside her was rising and bubbling up to uncontrollable levels. How dare he speak to her like that? What had she ever done? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

He looked up at Chiron,

"Godly parent?"

"Unknown." He replied whilst glancing at her to see if that was correct. She nodded then looked down, calming down slowly.

"Amery," he stated. Looking straight at her, the form had disappeared from in front of him. "I can already see that you are a complete tearaway with no respect for elders at all." She began to protest but he carried on relentless, "so because of that I will be keeping a close eye on you. I don't care if adam-"

"Alex," she interrupted automatically.

"Adam," he insisted, "is lost in some kind of a monster's domain. Here you are under my order and I run things as I like. If you cause any trouble in the slightest I will do my very best to make sure that your life here is as much as a hell as I can manage. Nobody can stop me as I'm top. You have been warned now, so go."

She was shocked at what he'd just said. Called her a tearaway dismissed her situation as if it was nothing then threatened her. Was this normal? She looked at Chiron who was frowning disapprovingly at Mr D.

"You still here Amery? I said GO!" he shouted. She took a deep breath about to tell him what she thought but Chiron began to usher her out before she could say a word.

"Not the time or the place," he uttered so that only she could hear. Before she left, she saw a pitcher of wine appear on his desk but as soon as he touched it, it turned to water. He grunted, annoyed and glared at her as she left. As soon as she left the house, it dawned on her who Dionysus actually was.

"He's the wine god?" she asked.

"Yes," Chiron replied

"Then why is he so horrible? I thought he liked celebrations or something like that.

"Sort of. After a certain event, he was sent here for a long time and secluded from any alcohol."

"What did he do?"

"You don't need to know." He looked behind her and smiled pleasantly. She turned and saw Nico walking towards them. She waved and he waved back. As soon as he reached them he took Amelia's hand and started dragging her down the steps.

"Where are we going now?" she said. Wanting to sit down somewhere quite and cool off after her meeting with Mr D.

"As you have an unknown parent your going where most campers start out."

"What do you mean by that?"

"I mean your cabin. You're going to be in the Hermes cabin."

"Why Hermes?"

"He's the god of travellers so his cabin can welcome you but I do warn you that it is a bit of a squeeze."

She could only imagine how small a space she'd get in a cabin filled with travellers.

"Is it quiet at least?"

"Not a chance." He replied with a smile on his face.

She mentally let go of the quiet cool off as Nico dragged her off to her fate.

Leaving it there! Hope that this is long enough! It covers three whole word pages at font size eleven so it should suffice as an apology? I hope so anyway…. Until next time! :)
