JASON'S DONATION

A/N: please forgive errors I stopped watching show when Robin and Jason broke up in 1999 and then when Robin came back to show in 2005 the writers did not put them back together again

Year is 2007

CHAPTER FIVE

Jason stands there in shock, he couldn't believe it he was going to have a baby with Robin. She was pregnant with his baby. My God, that was his first dream he had that he had to let go of when she left in 1999. Now it was coming true. Thanks to Carly of all people. Why would she do this though? Why? He would have to talk to her to find out.

"I don't understand why Carly did this though. Do you have any ideas why she did this? This would be about the last thing I would expect her to do, her arranging it so I would have your baby instead of the donor's." Robin asked confused.

"I'm going to talk to Carly. I'll meet you back here in about an hour. On the other hand. Why don't you come with and get your things from the MC while I talk to Carly? This penthouse is ready for you to move into it." Jason said still shocked at the news, he was going to be a father with Robin as the mother. He smiles a little bit.

"Okay, that sounds good." Robin and Jason head out into the hall and toward the elevator and Sam opens the door to the penthouse and glares at Robin and Jason.

"You are leaving? Weren't you even going to tell me?" Sam asked haughtily thinking she has the right to know Jason's every movements since she loved him.

"No, Sam, I wasn't I don't report to you on where I go and who I go see. If I wanted a mother I would ask Monica to do that not you."

"Where are you going? Maybe I want to go too." Sam said trying to find out where he was going and if Robin was going with him.

"Where am I going? I don't think that it is any of your business Sam where I go and who I see, you better stop this behavior, I am really getting tired of you acting like this Sam." Jason guided Robin into the elevator.

"Jason, I might want to come, if Robin can go and knows where you are going why won't you tell me and let me come if I want to?"

"Sam, go back into the penthouse and take a nap or something we will talk when I get back." With that the doors to the elevator shut on Sam's face.

"Jason, are you okay?" Robin asked worried about her friend.

"I don't know, Sam is becoming, I don't know all she likes to do anymore is go shopping and spend my money, and Sam doesn't do anything except shop and spend my money. I don't want to be wanted for my money and Sam lately that seems to be all she is interested in is that money and what it can buy her. Now on to the good news, you are pregnant with my baby. You are sure it's mine, right?"

"Yes, Stella admitted that Carly paid her 20,000 dollars to change the donor's DNA with yours and she did change it that is what she told us, Kelly and me. We are the only two that know that though, I don't want it broadcast all over the hospital." Thinking of the hospitals reputation.

"That I am the father?" Jason said hurt exiting the elevator and they both get in the limo.

"No, I should smack you for thinking that, that there was a switch, that would put GH in danger of losing grants and patients that one of our own switched DNA on a doctor's donor and she became pregnant with her ex-boyfriend's baby who happened to be a mob enforcer. Can't you see the media coverage on that one?"

"So what do you want to do pretend I'm not the father?" Jason asked hurt that Robin would suggest such a thing.

"No, I want to pretend you were the original donor, that you gave your DNA so I could have a baby. Jason, it's the only way to keep Stella, the nurse who did this, who Carly paid off, from losing her job and GH losing patients especially at the sperm bank and Carly out of jail. Stella's son has bipolar and the medicine to keep him stable is expensive, that's why Stella did it and she is scared she will now lose her job, I don't think she should, probation, yes, but not lose her job, if she loses her job the medicine for her son disappears and she won't just have to pay the co-pays for the medicine but the whole price for the medicine for her son, she can't afford to do that, she would never get a job in the medical field again, she's a good nurse, never before has she stepped out of line. If you can keep Carly from blabbing that she had the DNA changed by paying off one of our nurses we could do this. If it is all right with you that you pretend that you donated your DNA so that I could become pregnant, I was looking for a donor at one point, someone I knew."

"Why didn't you use someone you knew?" Jason asked curious as to why she didn't use one of her friends.

"Because I didn't know who to ask really, that's not completely true, I would have liked to ask you but with Sam in the picture I didn't think you would do it. What about Sam, are you going to tell her the truth? I'm sorry for asking this. Can we trust her with the truth about what happened at General Hospital? There's a lot on the line, a lot at stake here so I need to know what you are going to do so I can be prepared, the last thing I need is stress with this pregnancy, with me being HIV+, so I really need to know how you are going to play it with her. Are you going to tell her the truth about what happened at GH?"

Jason thinks on that a moment and quickly decides. "I'm going to keep this secret from her. I will tell her I donated DNA so you could have a baby, the less people who know about this the better, and right now I don't think I can trust Sam with the truth. She has changed, Robin, I don't like what she has changed into and every day she just keeps getting worse, but I don't know what to do, I took away her charge cards today and she had a fit, I did it because all she does anymore is go shopping and go shopping and spend my money which I have never minded but she doesn't do anything else except lay around the penthouse or go shopping. She doesn't do anything. She used to have a life outside of the penthouse and me and now she doesn't seem to and I don't want to be the reason she lives, I want to live with someone, equal partners if you know what I mean."

"I do, you want someone who isn't solely dependent on you for their very life, and I noticed that when I came home that, that was how she was, it just took you a while to realize it." Robin tells him what she had observed.

"Why didn't you say anything to me about it?" Jason asked wondering why she hadn't.

"Once you got your memory back, you couldn't stand being around me or being with me and you loved her not me so it wasn't my place to criticize your fiance. You wouldn't have listened to me about her. She was dependent on you for her happiness, and she still is." Robin tells Jason.

"What should I do about her?" Jason asked.

"Follow your heart and decide rather you love her the way she is, decide rather you want her in your life as she is. You can't change a person, you have to love them as they are. I learned that from experience." Robin told Jason. She had tried to change him and lost him because of that and because of the situation with Carly and Michael.

"Thanks, Robin, I think I know what to do." Jason said confident in what he should do with Sam.

Milo tells them that they are at the MC, Jason asks Milo to help Robin with her luggage and not to let her lift anything if he could help it, she was pregnant and didn't need to lift anything in her condition, if she gave him any problems to call his cell phone and he would come and take over and Robin wouldn't lift anything at all. Robin pouted but agreed that she wouldn't lift anything especially anything heavy. Jason then told her that he was going to have the stuff she has in storage brought to the penthouse so she could go through it but he wanted to be there when she did to make sure she didn't lift anything heavy. She agreed because she knew Jason would worry otherwise. She was afraid he was going to watch her like a hawk now that she was pregnant with his baby. How was Sam going to take that she wondered? She realized she really didn't care what the screeching Sam thought. Sam screeched and whined and it annoyed Robin that she did that, just to get her way. Robin doesn't like Sam and she was sure the feeling was mutual, by the glares that Sam sent her way. Robin could care less though. She thought Jason did deserve better than a howling animal in a trap hurt which is what Sam reminded Robin of. Maybe she was being too harsh because she still loved Jason and Sam was sleeping next to him at night. Milo and Robin got on the elevator to take her to her room so they could load up the limo with her things, which weren't many.

Jason on the other hand found Carly in her suite and when he did asked her, "What the hell did you think you were doing paying someone to change the DNA on Robin's procedure and making me the father of Robin's baby?"
