"Tetsuya, I would like to have a wor-"Akashi glared at the retreating back. The boy very well knew that he was talking to him; Akashi had seen Kuroko's eyes meet his before he started rushing away. Akashi intended to follow him before he realized how virtually impossible it was with the crowd. He lost sight of the bluenette when he had turned the corner. There was no way for him to guess where the long haired boy had gone either since he had yet to get to know Kuroko. For some reason, the model always avoided him. He hadn't seen Aomine make much progress either. As for the others, it's a mystery.

Kuroko stared up at the book that he had been thinking about getting. It's true that he had purposely avoided Akashi. When he had seen the… purpose? In the red-head's eyes, he knew that he should leave instead of listen to what he had to say. He may have told them that he forgave them but that didn't mean it wasn't awkward for him to be near them. "Are you having issues with reaching the book? It wouldn't surprise me with your height, nanodayo."

Kuroko turned to blink at the green haired boy. "No, I can reach it just fine.* I don't know whether I want to read it though. The ratings and reviews were rather good but they seemed forced to me." Midorima didn't even need to reach up, instead reaching straight across, to grab the book that Kuroko had been staring at for the last five minutes. He turned the book over to read the summary before handing it to Kuroko.

"The storyline is rather well-developed and the characters are well-rounded. The main character is rather competent and there is a side character that could be considered a genius, helping him out when trying to find the killer. It's an ok story, there are way better out there but it is good enough, nanodayo.*" Kuroko blinked before smiling.

"If Midorima-kun says it's a good story then it must be." Midorima's cheeks seemed to gain a pinkish tint.

"I-I said it was an ok story, not a good one, nanodayo!" Midorima was quick to correct, although a little loud. The librarian was frowning in their direction confusedly. Midorima often came to the library to study or read a book and during this time he had never talked to anyone. Why was he suddenly yelling to a fellow classmate?

"It might be better if you keep your voice down Midorima-kun, you'll disturb those around you." Kuroko said disapprovingly before walking down the aisle to look for another book. He was in the mystery section, looking for a book he had never read before, and there were plenty of them. Though most of them he had never heard about. A few had a strange title, making him wary to look at them.

"This one is good as well." Midorima grabbed a book from the top shelf, one with a strange title, and read the summary. It seemed like he was making sure it was the one that he thought it was. "I-I mean, it's an ok read." Midorima looked off to the side. Kuroko took the book gently from his hands and read the summary. It seemed rather interesting, making him question why he had been wary of it in the first place.

"What type of genres do you prefer, Midorima-kun?" Kuroko looked curiously up at the megane, Midorima looking surprised at the sudden question.

"Well… I'll generally read anything, but I prefer mystery and science." He seemed to question himself about whether those were correct choices but he guessed they were if Kuroko's cheerful expression was to go by. Wait, why would he care whether Kuroko would agree with his truthful answer? He's never cared before, why should he now?

"I like mystery as well, in fact I prefer the mysteries where they don't figure out who the killer is and there are very little hints to who it is until the last few chapters. But then it's too late." Kuroko's voice had taken an ominous tone on the last sentence. Midorima repressed the shiver that tried to go down his spine, thinking in the far reaches of his mind this boy must be great at telling ghost stories.

"I believe that there are about twenty of those types of mystery on this shelf alone, nanodayo." Midorima flicked his gaze to said shelf sitting innocently beside them. He studied the titles before making a noise. "Forgive me; it appears there are twenty-five."

"Ah, thank you Midorima-kun. Perhaps then sometime you can suggest some books to me. It would mean a lot." Kuroko smiled up at Midorima, causing the Tsundere to blush and look away.

"Why should it mean something? Baka."

"Eh? Mido-chin and Kuro-chin are here too~?" Midorima scowled as he heard the voice from the other side of the book case. He looked over the top of it, seeing the purple eyes of the taller purple haired boy. "Mido-chin usually gets his books and leaves. Are you sharing snacks with Mido-chin, Kuro-chin?"

"No, I am not Murasakibara-kun. Though, I do have a candy from earlier that I haven't eaten. It seems a waste if I don't eat it so you can have it Murasakibara-kun." Murasakibara walked around the shelves, heading to Kuroko.

"Mango flavored toffee?*" Murasakibara asked as he grabbed the candy, raising it up. "Ara~! I haven't had this yet~!"

"I'm glad you like it. I'm not a big fan of mango flavored snacks or candies." Kuroko smiled up at Murasakibara before heading to the librarian's counter so he could get his books checked out.

"Ne, Kuro-chin. What'cha gonna read?" Murasakibara looked at Kuroko curiously as he popped the toffee into his mouth. Kuroko showed the titles to Murasakibara. "Ara~! Otou-san and kaa-san watched that movie the other night and I read that one a long time ago. I like the smart guy the most. He says some pretty funny things~." Kuroko blinked a few times, surprised that Murasakibara knew the titles. He had gotten the impression that Murasakibara didn't like to read. Guess he was wrong.

"Is that so…" Kuroko looked down at the first book Midorima had given him curiously, eager to read it already. He turned around and checked the books out. As the librarian was getting them recorded as being checked out, Midorima engaged Kuroko into a conversation about mystery novels. Kuroko got the books back and Midorima, along with Murasakibara, followed him to the entrance as the conversation went on. Every once in a while, Murasakibara would cut in with 'Ara~! I remember that one! That one guy was pretty funny' or 'Kaa-san got me to watch that one. It was pretty good~ I didn't like the ending though.' But one thing was certain. These two were now his favorite of the six people that he knew but didn't feel comfortable around.

"Dai-chan! Please?" Kuroko could hear the pink-haired girl's voice from down the hallway as he parted ways with Murasakibara (something about him wanting to get some chips from the vending machine before going to find some Aka-chin) and Midorima rolled his eyes. "It's just a popsicle! Besides, you still owe me from last week!"

"Buy it yourself, ya old nag. OW! Stop hitting me! I'm definitely not getting you a popsicle now!" Kuroko turned the corner, meeting the interesting sight of the pink-haired girl and Aomine walking side by side. It looked as though Aomine had been jabbed in the side from how he was holding his ribcage closest to the girl.

"Um… excuse me." Kuroko dug in his bag, producing two items. "I don't need this and I don't like this flavor. You can have them if you want." The girl looked annoyed before taking the items and looking at them. She seemed shocked to find a strawberry flavored lollipop and a Popsicle stick.

"I don't want your tra-"She stopped mid-sentence when she read the other side of the Popsicle stick. Midorima and Aomine could literally see a giant pink heart get stuck with a heart shaped red arrow as she got a look of adoration towards the oblivious Kuroko.

He tilted his head to the side. "Do you not like it?" He seemed to pout – he had been trying to get the girl to cheer up, why wouldn't he? – and, although it didn't show all that well on his face, all three present to see that expression stood stock still as their minds went into overload. Midorima was in the middle of attempting to process the background that had randomly appeared behind Kuroko – full of pink, purple, hearts, and flowers – when Momoi broke the image by jumping at Kuroko and hugging him.

"I love it! Thank you so much, Tetsu-kun!" Kuroko blinked at that nickname. Now that one he couldn't bluff off as the 'tsu' being a suffix, he'd need to inform her of that immediately, but he let the girl continue to hug him.

"By the way, what is your name?"

"I'm Momoi Satsuki! Call me Sa-chan!" It sounded like an order – one that Kuroko wouldn't follow.

"Alright, Momoi-san."

The girl pouted.

Wow… I felt horrible when I had finished this chapter mere hours after I had posted the last chapter, so I went ahead and let it sit on my computer over the weekend… Just so you guys could continue to vote, aren't I nice?

The absolutely final votes, I'm not accepting anymore since the story is now in a way that I have a set pairing, are as follows:

GoM – 20

GoM+Kagami – 9

Akashi – 8

Akashi+Kise –2

Kagami – 5

Kise+Aomine – 1

And the GoM win with a perfect twenty! I would like to take this chance to thank all of you lovely reviewers, especially you Ridikuluss (Je t'adore! You became my favorite the first time I got a review from you, especially since I realized your native language was French but you took the time to review in English, just for me… Seriously though, merci!), and I hope you all enjoy the way the story pans out… Since I'm awesome and learning several different languages, including French, I'll go ahead and say my thanks in other languages as well!

Domo arigatou gozaimasu!

Merci beaucoup!

Gracias!

Grazie mille!

Xiexie!

Mahalo!

Okay, I admit, I looked up the Chinese and Hawaiian ways to say it (the last two), only because I wasn't quite sure! ^/^' It happens to all of us, right?

Again, thank you very much!

Nightmare

PS: I realized just now after having already posted two more chapters that I had starred some things but didn't explain why... well, here's the explanation and I really need to get better at that!

Kuroko's height - what some people don't seem to realize is that Kuroko is actually quite tall for an Asian... Asians are all rather short... He's average sized for an American female... -.-

I don't know crap about mystery novels, quite frankly I hate the genre, so I just put some random story line for what I would use for a mystery, if I ever were to actually take the time to think of one... Also, nanodayo makes a sentence that would have probably been under question into a statement, it makes it fact... Trust me, I asked a teacher of Japanese origin... She went back to Japan a few weeks ago and I haven't seen her since, but I'm kind of hoping that she had fun on her karaoke trip she said she was going to go on while there...

I don't eat much candy... It depresses me when I realize this with how much of a sweet tooth I have but I really don't... I just thought of some random things which ended with mango flavored toffee... I really don't know if it exists...

There we go, now let's go check the next chapter! -.-'
