Chapter 32 – The Hotel Room's.
"Mm, a whole hotel room, no nosy parents or Granny's, what ever shall we do?" Ruby murmured into Belle's ear, holding around the waist from behind the smaller woman.
Belle blushed, "I thought we said dinner?" she said quietly.
Ruby chuckled, "We also said half an hour," she whispered, spinning her girlfriend to face her and kissing her quickly on the lips.
Belle giggled; she couldn't help herself, "Half an hour, huh?" she a hand over Ruby's shirt.
Ruby's grin widened, "A whole half an hour."
Belle rolled her eyes, "That's kind of an oxymoron you know, a whole half – "
"Don't go all smart on me, you," Ruby laughed.
"I can't help being smart, I thought you liked it," Belle pouted.
"I don't like it," Ruby claimed, pausing for effect, "I love it. It's sexy as hell."
Belle grinned, "Good," she nodded, "So what were you saying? A whole hotel room…what ever shall we do?" she pulled Ruby by the shirt closer, "I think we should find the bed."
"Do you want me to cancel dinner, dear?" Regina asked as she entered the room and saw the teenager curled up in the bed.
"No, no," Emma insisted, albeit tiredly, "I'll be good in a few minutes. Just need to close my eyes."
Regina smiled as she sat on the bed next to her girlfriend, placing a hand in her hair, "Are you sure? We have had a long day."
Emma rolled onto her back so she could look up at the older woman, "You have," she mumbled, "You're the one whose been driving most of the day."
Regina shrugged, "It's hard travelling too, just sitting there, doing nothing… trying to keep me awake," she smiled.
Emma smiled and reached a hand up to sweep Regina's hair out of her eyes, "You're so pretty," she said absent-mindedly.
Regina smiled down at the blonde, "Thank you," she said, a crimson tint to her cheeks.
Emma nodded, "No worries," she grinned.
Regina positioned one leg on either side of the blonde's body, "Now, dear, what do I have to do to get you up?"
Emma laughed, "Don't seduce me, woman, I'll never leave this damn bed," she groaned.
Regina laughed too, stroking Emma's cheek with her thumb, "Hmm, this is true, I am very good at keeping you in bed, aren't I?" she said confidently, a cheeky glint in her eye.
The teenager bit her lip, holding back a giggle, "You are," she agreed, "It's amazing, really. You should put that skill on your resume or something."
Regina quirked an eyebrow at the giggling teenager before rolling her eyes, "Okay, come on then. Up," she hit Emma's behind as she climbed off of her.
"Aw man," Emma whined.
"Don't you aw man me," Regina tried to be stern but couldn't help smiling, "Didn't you say you were hungry?"
Emma nodded, "Yeah, I guess. Okay, fine. One kiss?" she requested with a sly grin.
Regina rolled her eyes and squinted at the teenager suspiciously, "Hmm," she pretended to think, "Fine, if you insist," she lent closer to the smiling woman beneath her and pressed her lips to Emma's, feeling the teenager's hand make contact with her neck, pulling her closer. Regina gave in and let Emma pry her lips open and push her tongue into her mouth. They stayed like this for a few minutes, each battling for dominance before pulling apart, both slightly breathless.
"Guess I'm not the only one with…skills," Regina grinned before pulling away further, "Now, up."
Emma grumbled for a moment but got up, making her hair more presentable as she picked up her phone to text Belle; ready when you are.
"Isn't this a bit fancy?" Emma whispered as they entered an upper class restaurant.
Regina shrugged, "It's on me, it's fine. I want to spoil you," she smiled and looked to the other couple as they took a seat, "Really, you both deserve it."
Emma smiled and squeezed her girlfriend's hand gently.
"Are you sure, Regina? I mean we can pay…right?" she looked to Ruby.
"'Course we can," Ruby nodded.
Regina smiled, "It's okay, really," she insisted.
They ordered their food and spoke easily as the night wore on. When Regina and Ruby went to the counter to pay (Ruby had insisted in putting something in) Belle jumped into the seat next to Emma and nudged her.
"You excited, Swan?" she asked.
Emma smiled, "Yeah," she said quietly, "Are you?"
Belle nodded, "Yes!" she said excitedly, "I can't believe it's so close. Have you looked over your class lists? Have you seen how many classes on literature there are!? It's absolutely amazing, I still can't decide between them all, I'm gonna be up all night."
Emma laughed at her friend's excitement, "It's meant to have the most courses offered in literature in the country. I've decided on all mine though, don't forget to sleep, Belle," she teased, "Can't look all tired for the admissions officers."
Belle bit her lip nervously, "Oh, shut up," she smiled sheepishly, "I bet you're doing the screenwriting class, right? I thought of you when I saw it in the list."
Emma nodded, "Yes! Introduction to screenwriting, I hope it's not full."
"We'll get there as soon as they open!" Belle exclaimed.
"In that case, we should get you two home to bed. I don't know about you, Belle, but Emma is hard enough to wake up in the morning on a good night's sleep, let alone on a night like tonight," Regina looked at her girlfriend fondly.
"What, a night in a hotel room with her older woman girlfriend?" Ruby snickered, earning a glare and a poke in the ribs from Belle.
Regina blushed a little, "That was not what I meant! I just meant I knew she would be excited and not sleep," she muttered.
Emma smiled as she took Regina's hand and they walked out of the restaurant and started the short walk home. As Belle and Regina got to talking, Ruby slung an arm casually around Emma's shoulder as they trailed a few steps behind.
"So come on, did you guys… you know?" she asked nonchalantly.
Emma laughed, "You do realise we live together? This isn't as big a deal for us as it might be for you and Belle."
Ruby nodded, "Ah, right. Well, guess it won't be next time, Belle and I will join the adult world of living together by then too."
Emma looked at her friend, "Really? You guys are moving in together?"
Ruby smiled widely, "Yup! I mean, we've discussed it; she's been putting off telling her folks," her smile faltered, "But she will."
"She will, Rubes," Emma smiled, "I've never seen her like this about anyone."
Ruby bounced her eyebrows, "Except you."
Emma opened her mouth but faltered and just rolled her eyes, "Yeah…old days, huh."
"Mm, thank god for that," Ruby smiled cheekily, earning another eye roll from her friend, "Ahh, you guys, so smart," she screeched as they caught up to Belle and she slung her other arm over her shoulder, "Don't forget me when y'all get famous with your writing, okay?"
Belle giggled and pulled her arm tighter around her shoulder, causing Ruby to let go of Emma and she took the opportunity to lean in and give Belle a quick kiss.
"Never, baby, you're my girl," Belle smiled.
"Good," Ruby nodded and turned to Emma raising her eyebrows.
Emma pushed her gently, "As if, man. Need someone to keep us grounded, don't we?" she teased.
"Mm, you better plan on keeping me around too," Regina mumbled into Emma's ear.
She turned around and put her hands around Regina's neck, "Never, ever," she said quietly.
At this, they arrived at the hotel and parted ways once again; each disappearing into their rooms for excited sleeplessness in anticipation of the next day.
