Stark's POV.

His and Zoey's room

"Stark. Get up, we're going to miss breakfast." Zoey's voice broke through my dream and I decided to tease her.

"Five more minutes mama, I 'on't wanna go to school."

"James Stark I swear if you don't get up I'm going to make sure there isn't any bacon left when you finally get up there." I could hear in her voice that she was teasing but I decided to play along.

"Oh no! Not the bacon!" I jumped out of the bed and ran over to where she was standing. When I picked her I up I twirled her around until she had started laughing.

"Stark! We're going to be so late!" she said through the giggles.

"So be it." I pecked her lips and pulled her into a tight hug. We stood like that for a couple of minutes before my stomach growled.

"See, you do want that bacon." We unwrapped ourselves from each other and, with our hands intertwined, we went upstairs to breakfast.

When we got there, the hall went quiet. Everyone's faces seemed to glow in the candlelight that illuminated the room in place of the sun. I glanced around as we walked to Gryffindor table and saw that thick curtains were drawn over the large windows. Wow, the old man thought of everything. Harry smiled and waved us over to sit by him and his friends. I looked down at Zoey, who was looking over at Stevie Rae and Rephiam. Go on. Stevie Rae mouthed and Rephiam nodded us on. Zoey looked up at me and I gave her a lopsided grin. I leaned down and whispered in her ear.

"Wherever you go I go." She smiled and led me over to Harry and his friends.

"Morning Harry." She greeted the green eyed fourteen year old. From what our books said this kid is pretty much a boy wonder. I chuckled, realizing what I'd thought. Wonder where his batman is…I chuckled again, earning odd looks from Harry and his friends. Zoey looked back at me, a little worried for my sanity.

"I'll tell you later." I whispered again. Zoey nodded and turned back to the kids in front of us. Harry gestured for us to sit and we did.

"Good morning Hermione, Ron. Good morning other friends of Harry's." She said to the other kids sitting at this end of the table.

"Oh! Good morning Zoey, I was wondering if you could introduce me to...Oh, what were their names…? Ah! Damien and Jack? Damien seemed very informative last night and I have so many questions!" Hermione gushed, causing the five boys sitting by her to groan. Zoey grinned widely and laughed her wonderful laugh.

"Of course! Why don't I bring everyone by your common room tonight, then everyone in your house can ask questions."

"That would be wonderful! What time?"

"How about seven-ish. Would that work for everyone?" Ron's eyes lit up and he stood up.

"I'll ask everyone in our house." He promised, and ran off, asking every gryffindor from one end of the table to the other. Harry and the boys chuckled, the four unnamed ones still gawking at Zoey. I decided I wanted to know who else I was talking to.

"Hey, Harry. Who are your friends?" Three of the boys snapped their heads to me. Harry coughed and introduced them.

"Neville Longbottom." He said, pointing to the one with short black hair and blue eyes.

"Seamus Finnigan." Was said about the sandy-haired kid with freckles who still hadn't stopped staring at Zo. When his friend, the african-american kid caught me looking, he elbowed Seamus in the ribs and pointed to me. Then the kid turned to me.

"And I'm Dean Thomas. Pleasure to meet you."

"The pleasure is ours." I heard Zo say to the group. Just then Ron came back, excited.

"Okay, I talked to the whole house. They're all completely okay with it. And I cleared it with Professor Dumbledore." Zoey smiled and at the same time as Hermione said;

"That's wonderful Ron!" Hermione growled slightly at Zo and went back to her book Just then a nasally voice came up behind Zoey.

"Well look who it is, Weaselbee, Potter and the mudblood, all hanging out with the new freaks."
