Kitsune Kaze: Summer camp sucks D: I just hate it :P. People there are too self-absorbed, sassy, and obnoxious. I wonder :D... Oh wait, I know what I'm going to do. The one I'm picking for Yellow may not seem to fit at firsttt, but you'll understand when I explain :P
Black-AcE2: thank you thank you ;U; I feel so honoured to have people constantly reviewing ;U;. Please excuse me while I go cry out of happiness.
BACK TO DLaO—I feel like the story has been quite slow paced. Sooo I'm trying to speed it up slightly. This chapter is about Ruby and Sapphire... If you haven't guessed yet... FRANTICSHIPPING HO! Recent note, I've gotten off my lazy ass and finished planning DlaO the whole story should be 20 chapters, with a prologue and epilogue. All in all it should take 22 parts.))
DLaO Chapter 3: Anistar Ruins
Sapphire's POV:
I'd rather not talk about what Serena and Calem were talking about yesterday. Hell, they practically weren't even talking, they were mainly screaming and yelling at each other.
Arceus.
I followed Ruby down the corridor... actually I don't even know where the hell I am.
"Hey! Prissy boy! Where are we?" Ruby looked annoyed by the name I gave him.
"For your information barbarian, I am trying to find my way to the Life territory, I doubt you can aid me in any manner though." He spoke in such a refined voice I wanted to punch his face...off... ugh.
I turned my head so my hearing would adjust, "Aha!" I grinned, "Follow me prissy boy!" And I spun around in the opposite direction and sprinted away.
As I stopped by a dead end I looked up, there was some sort of a trap door above me.
"Huh, so it appears you did find it," I turned around to see Ruby. How did he catch up to me?
"How do we get up?" I asked him. There were no stairs, no ladders, no platforms to get out. Hell, the walls were all smooth so that knocks away climbing.
"We just lift each other up." He said like it was nothing.
"I'll lift you up, you're such a prissy anyways, you probably can't even lift a twig." I folded my arms, plus, I wasn't allowing him to touch me so freely.
"Alright," he walked forward, "are you sure it's not because you're heav-"
"SHUT UP I'M NOT FAT!" I screamed, scoffing at his attitude.
"I never sai-"
"Shut up!" I glared.
"So I'll stand here, you lift me up so I can reach the grate okay?" He explained suddenly. Hmph.
"Okay." And I lift him up like he was a feather.
"WH-whoa! What?! Hold on! How are you so-" Freaking out now... How cu- Insert mental slap here. Now. I'm not even going to freak out myself, just, insert a mental slap, please. I don't care what Lavender says, I am NOT a 'Tsundere'.
"Red is a little too carefree, Green won't do anything without the most logical reason it's insane, Silver is the same as Green, Gold can't take anything seriously, Black is always busy, Rakutsu is always on standby, Platinum is a planner, Pearl is also not serious, and none of the other knights are trusted enough by Serena to be given important errands." I sighed, "Who's got to do everything? Moi."
"I-I see..." Ruby stuttered, reaching up to the grate, "this will take us to the outskirts of Snowbelle City, the forest clearing."
"Alright then!" I said as I heard the click of the grate being removed. "Up ya go!" Lifting him up up all of a sudden to push him off my hands.
"What the-?!"
I took the grappling hook off my belt and threw it through the hole in the ceiling, latching onto the grass and ground. Climbing ropes aren't the ideal way to get up, but better than getting lifted by Prissy Boy.
Once I got up I straightened my armor so everything was in place, rehiding my grappling hook behind my sword.
"So, where to now, Sir Ruby?" I said his name in a drawl.
"Do you have any idea where we need to go?"
Ruby kept his arms to his side as he walked so quietly and calmly, it was so annoying-!
"Asking me? Calem was the one who gave the instructions! Plus this is your territory, I've never been here before!" I snapped. Agape at his stupidity.
"Ahh... That's right..." He sighed, "I'm sorry, I keep on thinking you're someone else."
"Well stop thinking then."
It's been 20 minutes already and we still haven't gotten to Anistar City. What. The. Fu-
"Sapphire!" 'Sir' Prissy Ruby called to me from far ahead, my footsteps were dragging from boredom. Life District was so quiet, if it was Destruction there would be people asking for a dual left and right. "I can see Anistar!" I set off into a sprint as soon as I heard that.
line break
"What happened here?!" We both cried in unison, but this time, we didn't even bother start yelling at each other. This- Anistar City was left in ruins, all the houses were completely trashed, the lookout over the sea had a giant gemstone (?) embedded in it.
"This better not be the Order, or I swear to Arceu-" I clenched my fists.
"No. It isn't. This is from the impact of the meteor gemstone." Ruby said calmly.
I fell over.
"Wwwhhhaaaaatttttt?!" I gaped, "But there isn't a crater, and all the houses are charred!"
"Simple minded barbarian..."
"Over thinking prissy!" I shot back at him, crossing my arms.
"Hey! What are you two people here for?!" A voice shouted from far away. I looked at her, and despite her purple cloak I could still see a badge symboling an Elite Order Officer.
"Ruby."
"Sapphire."
We looked at each other, and took off.
