Summary: He killed, again.

"So Danchou, how's your condition?"

"Shalnark..." answered Kuroro with eyes closed.

"Hmm?" Shalnark grinned.

"Stop asking that everyday, would you?" said Kuroro, he was pretty annoyed with Shalnark, having to say the same thing everyday, at the same time during the afternoon.

"He's right! If there's someone to be worried about, that's probably the blonde over there!" added Nobunaga while pointing his index finger to Kurapika, who is peacefully reading a book Kuroro lent him, in the couch.

After the twin, Rika and Gaou, broke into their territory and caused a big explosion that held Kuroro paralyzed for a whole night, Kurapika had experienced pains striking his chest recently. Though, it seems like nothing is wrong with him, his face appeared paler than usual and both Kuroro and Kurapika had these one scar that couldn't be healed, even with Kurapika's healing thumb.

Healing thumb?

When did the blonde learnt to control that? Right, ever since that intruder incident, Kuroro had introduced Kurapika to his own nen ability that he doesn't even know it existed. He said to control that ability because it may be useful in some case but for now the blonde was only permitted to use thumb healing ability since it's less risky and because Kuroro already knew about how his chains are used, he may only used it to the spiders, not to anyone else.

But he, himself, is now a limb of the spider. So, how? Kuroro is currently thinking of a way to deal with that matter, he was planning to change the rule or reverse the law Kurapika made. The raven-haired guy thought of having an exorcist tag along, but the nen-lifter he met few days ago are incapable to do as what he said.

'Let's just leave it be for the time being...' he thought and finally came back to reality.

"I believe that blonde can overcome that, remember what he've been to?" Shalnark lowered his voice at the end of his sentence.

'His clan's massacred.' Kuroro thought.

'The tattoo and injection stuff.' Nobunaga thought.

"But he doesn't even remember them anymore, right?" said the samurai with a louder voice while taking a peak at the blonde, seeing whether he's eavesdropping or even noticed to what they discussed.

"Anyway..." said Shalnark as he yawns and rubbed his head. "Take a look at this, Danchou." he took out his laptop and continued talking.

"I've finally found something good." he smiled. Kuroro looked at the screen, skimming and scanning through the text and finally understands the content of the page. He stoop up and directly ordered Shalnark to have everyone gathered at the Main Building, like usual.

Soon enough, the Main Building was packed with nearly all the members, with the exception of Kurapika. The blonde was told to keep reading the book. The piece of information from Shalnark was the main object of the meeting, and Kuroro planned to show the members, sans Kurapika, the information.

"The thing I'll tell you might be a lead to the Gem we missed at the museum so listen carefully." said their leader.

"A couple, who made different gems around the world, was missing two years ago. Few days later they came back with a 13-year-old girl who claimed to be their daughter. Everyone noticed that there's something different with these couple, the wife looked younger while the husband looked older and both of them seems to have forgotten how to create a gem. Now their daughter is the one who continues their occupation." he paused.

At this tidbit, everyone hesitated and shared looks. No one was uttering it out loud, as they daren't do so, but they were all thinking in unison. This information seems normal. Why is Kuroro finding this interesting?

"Soon after Mysterica, their daughter, did what they did, many happened to their customers. Some just had headaches when they stared at the gem, some became crazy, some shouted histerically whenever they came in contact, there's also one who was haunted by the past soon after he purchased the gem."

Kuroro's words seemed to have captured their interests. Their spirits are lifted, and curiosity aroused. Now this seemed like something to dig in to. Shizuku, and some others who were obsessed with supernatural occasions and objects, especially felt the greatest enthusiast to discover more about this off-putting information. Soon, everyone was chattering about excitedly.

Upon finishing what he started, the spider began negotiating on when they gonna start their next mission and how they will accomplish it this time.

They will make their moves at night, 8 p.m.

Kuroro had gotten to know that Mysterica & co. had settled at the fringes – the countryside. The chances of them hearing about Genei Ryodan was slim to none, as the countryside area was a great distance from Kuroro's location.

When everything is all set, Kuroro went back to his rooom, where the blonde was. As he turned the doorknob and pushed the door in front of him, he saw Kurapika sitting in the edge of the bed, still reading. Kuroro heaved a sigh and approached him.

"You really like reading a lot." he said, patting Kurapika's head.

"So do you. Never thought you read such a complicated book as this." answered the blonde.

In a swift motion, Kuroro picked up the book and flung it inside his bedside drawer.

"We have mission to do."

"Again? So that's what you discussed while I was reading?"

"Certainly. Now, I have to tell you what we have to do later."

Outside, it was pouring heavily. It made the journey a tad bit longer, since the slosh and mud pooling slowed them down. The spiders had to sprint at full force, their feet sometimes sinking down at puddles of mud, their bones chilled by the coldness of the downpour. Still, they maintained a consistent speed of tenacity, and uniformly followed their leader as they dashed through dark woods with gnarled trees and wild plants, through derelict, crushed buildings that emanated eerie sounds, through lakes that stretched so wide and far across it'd be better suited as an ocean.

Upon reaching the looming, tall gate, they knocked several times while catching their breaths. A few knocks later on, the gate creaked open, revealing a maid with hair that was cut short and with a dress adorning black-and-white patterns on it. The maid, seeing their drenched, huffing figures, immediately ushered them in, refusing to let them get soaked in the rain.

"Who are they, Lyra?"

Hearing the sound of her master, she tensed.

"My...Mysterica-sama!"

The spiders jolted up when the name of the girl was called.

"Who are they, Lyra?" she repeated her question.

"They...are just travelers. I don't think letting them to soak in the rain is a good idea..." answered Lyra.

"I see. I'll let them spend the night." she smiled and turned to Kuroro. "You're the leader?" she asked.

"Yes, I am Kuroro Lucier, thank you for letting us to spend the night." he bowed.

"You don't have to be so formal!" she laughed and looked around. "You sure got many friends with you..." Mysterica noticed a blonde boy who she thought was at her age.

"You! How old are you?" she approached the blonde.

"Eh? 17."

"Ah... 2 years older then me... Your name?"

"It's Kurapika."

"Ah, Kurapika-san, let's shake hands!"

Without waiting for a dazed Kurapika to react, she gripped his hand and forced it up and down. Then she let go, and stepped away, a haunting look in her eyes even though she offered them a kind smile. "Well then, please enjoy the night! Lyra show our guest their rooms."

They followed the maid to the third floor where their rooms are located, without a doubt, Kurapika will share his with Kuroro while having the others to find their own room partner.

Kuroro tagged along the group, gathering the rear. He was silent the whole time they were walking upstairs. Something nagged at him. Ever since he arrived at Mysterica's house, he had felt an uneasy feeling, panic alarms ringing in his head. After seeing Mysterica forcing Kurapika to handshake earlier on, the bad instinct was furthermore confirmed.

Inside the room, Kuroro told him to tag along wherever they go, not to loiter around carelessly. In addition to his safety, Kuroro had him to bring a gun, it's the same gun as back then in the museum.

At ten o'clock, the house was quiet. The hallways were resonating and empty, and there were no signs of footsteps or conversations at all. Yet, they waited 30 minutes just to make sure the coast was clear before assembling. Breaking up into groups, they parted off and began searching the mansion. It was maze-like, and so huge they might get lost in it – that was why Kuroro assigned them into groups. Luckily, the mansion's floor was carpeted, so their footsteps were padded and stealth.

So far, Machi and Shizuku had found the storage room while the rest are examining the special rooms for creating gems, there sure are more than five rooms for this purpose.

Just a few minutes ago, when Kuroro turned to check, Kurapika was still trailing behind him, looking at rooms with disinterest, as if he wanted to go explore by himself. A few moments later on, it seemed like he did. Kurapika wasn't following Kuroro anymore. The blonde had went up to the 4th floor to snoop around.

There were few rooms in the last floor, but only one is eye-catching. It's a big black door with gems everywhere. Really eye-catching.

The blonde went in and saw Mysterica. "I knew you'd come." she said with a grin. Mysterica was sitting and holding a crystal ball on top of the table, "Welcome."

Kurapika was taken aback at the beginning, but proceed forward to approach the little girl, "Such a spacious room." he said, starting a conversation.

"Yup! Really suitable for fortune-telling!" she replied. "Now, sit down and have your fortune told!"

Mysterica took Kurapika's palm and closed her eyes. All of a sudden, strange auras are coming out of her, he's amazed.

'Where have I seen this?' he thought.

"You... have such a past... I'm sorry for you."

"Wha-what?"

"I saw your past... It's really bloody." the blonde was terrified with what he just heard, he stood up immediately but his mind is messing with him.

'Memories. Do you have them?'

'Why are you here?'

'Who are you?'

Before he knew it, Kurapika's knees weakened, and he was on the ground. A sudden terror claimed him, drenched him in sweat and terror and paranoia from head to toe. Mysterica's voice kept on repeating and repeating inside his head. Memories. Do you have them? He clenched his teeth, the gripping panic in his stomach spreading out. Why are you here? He clutched his head. Stop, he thought frantically. No. But yet her voice still echoed. Who. Are. You? The voices swirled around and collected blind anxiety, gathered up anger, brought back up terror and gripped Kurapika in such an overwhelming summit of emotions that he shook his head and screamed hysterically like a madman.

The sound...it resembles someone's he'd heard.

"Is it painful? Painful, isn't it?"

Kurapika breathe harshly.

"You need not worry." she hugged him. "I'm also like that. I killed my parents and have an imposters replace the, because they do not love me at all. From time to time, I used my power to insert auras to the gem I created so they'd understand how I feel." she released Kurapika and stood up.

The blonde tilted his head up and looked at her.

"Now they feel what i feel! It's overwhelming they can't stand it! I need to make more gems and let more of them understand! Kyahahaha!"

Mysterica's words forced up nauseating feelings – feelings he did not want to relive, did not want to face. A wall of pain built up in him and with every word Mysterica uttered out, Kurapika moved his fingers to his pockets inch by inch. Until he had clenched his fingers around the gun Kuroro gave him. It felt rough, with ridges by its sides.

'Stop it', Kurapika thought forcefully, his eyes squeezed shut, disbelief pouring at what he was going to do, and a bigger tide of anger and disgust hit him and made him draw out the gun.

"Now, Kurapika! Join me! Let us-"

DOR...!

Kurapika pulled the trigger. His head was muddy and stuffed, and he felt the recoil of the gun. His body jerked back, unstable, as he watched with a stunned expression. In his head, everything was in a slow motion. Mysterica's eyes widening, her hands reaching slowly out. The bullet ripping through the air, aiming straight at her heart. The whizz of the air as the bullet twirled and turned and lodged itself in Mysterica. Blood cascading out of the bullet hole. Kurapika felt himself dropping down to the ground, and he daren't face Mysterica anymore. So he looked down to the ground, towards the gun.

The gun had made an explosion, a bang so loud it traveled through the silent floors of the mansion. Soon, footsteps paced into the gem-studded door and to the plush-carpeted room. Breaths of surprise were drew in, movements stopped short. Everyone were watching the two bodies.

One standing with his eyes glowing scarlet, looking down at a lifeless girl lying on the floor.

While the rest stayed silent in shock, Kuroro slowly curled his lip into a languid, smug smirk.

'There, he killed again.'
