It was a quiet, peaceful morning. Mr. Hitachiin was calmly sipping his coffee in their massive kitchen, pondering how best to improve the latest computer program he had designed. The twin maids were dozing off by the door, unnoticed. Sunlight slithered its way inside the room through the enormous windows, though if you belonged to the Hitachiin family, you would have even considered them small. That aside, silence was present that morning...ever growing silence...

BAM!

''YA~AAAAA!'' the black-haired maid sisters shrieked as the huge kitchen door bursted open. Mr. Hitachiin's cup of hot, brown caffeine slipped from his fingers and down his pants.

''Azami, Ayumi!'' came the demanding voice of Yuzuha Hitachiin. Her husband shook his head in amusement. Who else could have caused such a disturbance?

''Roger!'' the twin maids automatically saluted.

''Depart for Ootori Manor at once and inform Kyouya-san that we are facing a code red situation. I repeat, code red. Understand?''

''Understood, my lady!'' Azami and Ayumi left the kitchen at god-like speed. Truly dependable girls, if Mr. Hitachiin must say so himself.

The president of the software company smirked. ''Code red, you say?'' Yuzuha sure knew how to make the perfect slangs.

His short-haired wife looked at him indignantly. ''Yes, it is an emergency. Hikaru and Kaoru hadn't come home since last night. The Host Club—or rather Suoh Tamaki-san—claimed to have last seen them yesterday. Nobody else saw Hikaru and Kaoru afterwards. I've sent Azami and Ayumi to tell Kyouya-kun about this—not that he doesn't know already. But it's Sunday, so why haven't our sons come back yet?''

Mr. Hitachiin frowned. The current events truly weren't favorable, that was for sure. ''Do we have any leads?''

Yuzuha sighed. ''Unfortunately, we don't. That's the problem.'' The master programmer refilled his cup of coffee and, as nonchalantly as possible, took a sip. A tiny red cross appeared on the side of his wife's head. ''How can you be so calm at a time like this? Our sons are missing with no clues whatsoever as to where they could be! You could at least show a little emotion.''

Mr. Hitachiin looked at Yuzuha with grave eyes, and at once she felt the urgency in them. Even though his overall expression was blank, Mr. Hitachiins's eyes were dead serious. The loss of their sons was a grim issue. How they would be able to cope with it, he didn't know...

''Dammit,'' Fred and George groaned at the same time. The two were in their cramped room. Their ever so kind mother had ''grounded'' them, a form of Muggle punishment the Japanese twins so conveniently suggested. Fred and George had always known Hakiru and Korao or whatever their names were had potential to be the Legendary Pranksters' sidekicks, but to betray their masters like that...it was unbelievable. A crime, to say the least. After everything the awesome four had gone through, the Hitachin twins would turn their backs on the Weasley twins just like that? Such a tale was so tear-jerking...

Fred plopped down on his bed and sighed. George stared at the window with longing. Only a while ago, the pair of twins had come back to the Burrow with several cuts and bruises all over their bodies. It was a rather interesting story: Fred, George, Hikaru and Kaoru went on an exotic journey into a wonderful place called Neverland (some sort of magical country or something where nobody grows up. Honestly, how dashing is that?), defeated evil monsters, met a much more appealing type of mermaid than the kind you see at Hogwarts, fed an annoying pirate to a crocodile, got chased by the Ministry, ended up deserting one another, and fell into the prickliest thorn bush of pain and nightmares. How could the lovely Molly Weasley not believe such a normal and completely realistic story? Really, the woman needed to listen to reason once in a while!

So then, what happened next? The ultimate challenge who went by the name Molly attacked sirs Fred and George, while the Japanese traitors put in effect a diabolical plan that caused great terror to the lovable freckled boys. Yep, you can truly say it was the ideal perfect day.

''Why are we always the ones getting into trouble?'' George complained.

''Ah well. I guess mum just has a soft side for guests,'' said Fred.

George made a tsk-tsk sound. ''A bit unfair considering those two are involved in this as much as we are.''

''Exactly. That's why we're trying to figure out a plan to overthrow them.'' The matter-of-factness in Fred's voice seemed to wake George; a mischievous glint crossed his eyes.

''Oh, it will be fun, all right...''

The mischievous pair exchanged glances repeatedly for a long, long time until...

''HELLOOOOOOOOO?!'' the sudden yell of an unfamiliar voice broke through the entire house's silence.

The Weasley twins jumped from their beds. ''What was that?'' they chorused. They cautiously walked to the door and peered through the gap, only to find a pair of brown eyes looking back. ''GAH!"

The girl stepped back, strings of messy brown hair flying to her face. ''I'm very sorry if I startled you,'' she said rapidly.

''Who are you, anyway?'' Fred asked. Under normal circumstances, that would have sounded rude, but when a stranger suddenly shouts and appears at your door...oh what the heck, just consider it as a ''spur of the moment.''

The girl took a step forward and held out her right hand. ''Kalina Forbes, at your service.''

George took it first. With a wink, he said ''The ever-so-great George Weasley.''

Fred smacked his twin and snatched the girl's hand from his brother's grip. ''His much-more-awesome twin Fred. Pleasure to meet you. And, uh, I apologize if I sounded a wee bit rude.''

The girl smiled. ''Apology accepted. Now, the one reason I decided to come here was because I saw you two and another pair of boys running around a paddock earlier,''—she was speaking painstakingly fast—''and when I went there, I managed to retrieve something: a wand. So I was wondering if either of you owned it because the other two downstairs claimed to have never even touched a wand in their entire lives. In case you're wondering, the ever so kind witch allowed me to see you provided that I don't let you outside your room. Why is that?''

It was a mystery why the girl wasn't gasping for breath. No human being could possibly talk so quickly.

''Well, if you must know, we were 'grounded,' or whatever that meant,'' Fred explained.

''You may thank the knuckleheads downstairs for causing us such a nonsensical punishment,'' George added.

''Grounded?'' Kalina repeated. ''What does that mean?''

''Heck, how are we supposed to know?'' George said. ''So what is it about this wand you were talking about?''

''As I said, I found a wand in the paddock you were playing in, smack right in the roots of some bushes to be precise. When I went there, you were already gone so I decided to look for you, and here you are. I was only wondering if either of you lost a wand earlier.''

Fred and George started poking around their pockets, and the former found his wand. However, George's was missing. ''I think it's mine. Do you have it?''

Kalina nodded. ''Yes, I do. I have it here.'' She then brandished a wand from her robes and handed it to him. ''Is that yours?''

George examined it and said, ''Yeah. Thanks.''

''How'd you know we were here?'' Fred asked.

''Oh, I followed you,'' Kalina replied. ''I was sitting joyfully on a bench in my porch when I heard screaming and several death threats, so I decided to look for the source of sound and found four boys running around. I saw them go to the paddock and—''

''All right, all right!'' the Weasley twins both interrupted. Kalina stared at them blankly.

''Well, thanks again for bringing my wand back,'' said George with a smile. ''Do you live near here?''

''Why yes, I do,'' Kalina answered. ''I live across the hill. Would you like to visit sometime?''

The twins looked at each other and seemed to communicate with their eyes. What's the harm?

Fred said, ''Yeah. That would be nice. In fact,'' he winked at his brother, ''why don't we go now? I'm sure it'll be fun.''

George soon caught up with the other redhead. ''You know what? That's a fine idea. Come on, then; I'd love to see your home.''

The girl's eyes widened in excitement and she broke into a grin. ''Oh joy! I would love to have you visit! The only problem is my mother. She's not very fond of visitors, you see? They make her nervous...anyway, let's go!''

She ran downstairs and the twins followed. When they got to the kitchen, they saw Kalina speed-talking to their mother who didn't seem to be listening. Hikaru and Kaoru eyed the girl weirdly, as though she was a long-lost toy.

"Mum!'' said Fred. Molly look at him with fierce eyes.

''What are you doing here? You're grounded! Go right up to your room, misters! Both of you have caused enough trouble already!''

''But madame,'' Kalina chimed in. ''I was hoping you would let them come to my home today. I'd really like to have tea with them at my house, and it appears that they would like that too. If you want, you may come with us. Yes, I'm sure that'll be fun! The other two may come as well. At least, I think so...I'm not really sure if mother will approve of me bringing five visitors...but oh well! Please let them go!''

Molly stared at her weirdly. ''I would be delighted to accept your offer, but unfortunately, my sons deserve to be punished for being irresponsible. I'm afraid I won't allow them to visit today, but perhaps they may go some other time.''

''Please, oh please let them go!'' Kalina pleaded. ''I promise I'll watch over them! Mother and I haven't had a proper visitor in ages! I promise they won't get into any more trouble than they are now!''

The Weasley twins grinned. ''Mum, look at the poor girl. She just wants some friends.''

''Can we go?'' The Japanese redheads asked Kalina.

''Why, of course you can!'' Kalina smiled at them. ''But don't you think it's a bit dull if you visit but your friends don't?''

Hikaru and Kaoru nodded. ''Oh please, Mrs. Weasley, there's no harm...''

''Oh, all right!'' Molly said at last. ''Go on! Just make sure you won't go astray. Come home before dinner. Don't do anything stupid. Be—''

Mrs. Weasley didn't get the chance to finish what she was saying, for in that moment, they five teenagers had rushed out of the door. By the time they reached the Muggle village in which Kalina lived, they were all gasping for breath.

''Here we are!'' said Kalina cheerfully as she opened the door of a tiny cottage. ''Before you go in, however, I must warn you that while my mother may be a very wonderful person, she gets a few queer moments. So please try to be patient with her.''

The four redheads smiled as they assured Kalina that they will behave. When they entered the house, they met a mouthwatering smell. A woman's voice called out for Kalina, who promptly went to the kitchen. ''Stay here,'' she had instructed the boys.

The Weasleys and Hitachiins sat themselves on armchairs in the sitting room, listening to the conversation that was taking place in the Forbes' kitchen. It appeared that Kalina was telling her mother about her new friends. There was a long pause.

''What do you reckon is happening in there?'' George asked his twin.

''Well, the girl did say her mother had a few queer moments,'' Fred replied.

''Maybe they're whispering so we won't hear them,'' Hikaru and Kaoru suggested.

They all glanced at each other. Fred was about to speak when suddenly, the kitchen door flew open and a middle-aged woman greeted them with a nervous smile.

''Why, hello, young lads,'' said the woman, placing a tray of sweets on the coffee table. She was soon followed by her daughter. ''You must be hungry. Go on, take a bite.''

''Thank you, Mrs. Forbes,'' the Hitachiins said with a grin. They each took a sweet from the tray. Fred and George did the same.

''So,'' Kalina piped up. She looked at the four boys. ''This is my mother, but she prefers to be called by her first name, 'Leanne'. She's a very nice person, I assure you.''

Leanne anxiously shook each of their hands while they introduced themselves. ''Quadruplets, eh?''

The pranksters blinked at her before realization dawned upon them.

''Oh, no!'' Fred laughed.

''We're not quadruplets,'' said George with a polite smile.

Leanne stared at them quizzically. ''You're not?''

They all shook their heads no. The Japanese twins then explained their relationships to Mrs. Forbes, who seemed entirely baffled by the situation.

''I see,'' said Leanne. ''I must have looked so stupid...I'm sorry.'' She cupped her face in her hands. The ''quadruplets'' looked at each other, unsure of what to do, until Kalina broke the silence.

''Ah, mum, it's fine. I thought they were quadruplets too. Mind, it's a bloody easy mistake to make. Don't be too harsh on yourself.''

Mrs. Forbes looked up at her daughter and smiled. ''I suppose so...now, how about some tea?''

''Goodbye, everyone!'' Kalina called with a wide grin. ''I'll see you all some other time! Take care! Come back soon!''

The pair of twins waved at her, and after the endless stream of goodbyes, they finally headed back to the Burrow.

''They sure are unusual fellows, aren't they?'' said Fred, putting his hands in his pockets.

The Hitachiins nodded.

''So why were both of you looking at her weirdly?'' George asked Hikaru and Kaoru.

The Japanese redheads shrugged and said, ''We met her before.''

''Really?'' Fred and George chorused.

The Hitachiin twins nodded. ''She was the one who so kindly directed us to the girls' bathroom yesterday.''

The Weasleys pasted on their signature evil smile as they recalled the fantastic story. Sadly, they hadn't the time to pester the Asians about their trip to a forbidden place due to Hikaru's sudden interruption.

''I wonder what story she'll tell,'' Hikaru said. Suddenly, Fred and George stopped in their tracks and looked at him strangely. ''What?''

They continued staring at the poor Asian, not believing what they just heard.

''What is it?'' Kaoru asked. The Hogwarts devils shook their heads and chuckled.

''It's been so long since we last heard you speak separately,'' the Weasley twins chorused.

There was a shocking silence as each and every one of them processed what Fred and George just said. Afterwards, they all laughed and continued walking. But not even a minute had passed when Hikaru, or maybe it was Kaoru, paused.

''Is there something wrong?'' one of the Hitachiin twins rinquired.

''I think I stepped on something,'' the other replied. He raised his left foot and pulled something from his shoe. He then held up what seemed like a shard of glass and gasped in awe.

''It's a diamond!'' the Asians exclaimed in unison.

''Really?'' George said, pushing his twin to get a better look.

''Let me see!'' Fred elbowed his brother who was blocking his view. They then got into a silly struggle until they noticed that Hikaru and Kaoru's expressions had hardened.

''What's wrong?'' the Weasleys chorused.

With serious eyes, the Hitachiin twins looked at each other and nodded.

''It's a piece of the portal.''
