What happened last:
The person that wants Finn dead has finally been identified except that it's blatantly incorrect. Who really is the enemy here?
M: "Who would want Finn dead?" She kept thinking over and over.
She sat there just thinking, trying to figure out a solution to this enigma. She was racking her brains trying to figure at least something out but it was hopeless.
It just didn't add up.
She sat in silence for about five minutes then, after she realized that it was a pointless waste of time, she picked up her laptop and went back to go see Finn and Jake.
F: "Hey Marcy, what's the news?"
M: "Where's Beemo? I need some binary stuff translated."
BMO: "I am here Marceline!"
M: "Hey Beemo, so can you translate some binary for me?" Marcy said, sounding as kind as possible.
BMO: "No." Beemo said sternly.
M: "Uh… w-why not?" She was caught off guard by the unexpectedly straight forward answer.
BMO: "You have to say the magic words." Beemo said as he crossed his arms.
M: "Ok… Please?" She said, sounding annoyed.
BMO: "That's not it…"
M: "Ugh… Finn?"
F: "Oh uh… you actually have to say it. Beemo got into some weird habit of asking for passwords for everything after we took him to get an update from Mo. It's like a security thing."
M: "Well, what is it then?"
J: "Come here. I'll tell you." Jake said as he walked up and whispered in Marceline's ear.
Jake told her the password and Finn started to giggle. He couldn't hear Jake saying it but he still thought that it was comical.
M: "That's seriously the password?"
J: "Yup. Me and Finn were too lazy to set our own password and we told Beemo to make one up. And this is what happened."
M: "That's kinda funny… but weird."
J: "Yeah… and it's the only way to get Beemo to use any of his cool features and stuff."
M: "Ok so… Beemo, can you translate some binary for me?"
BMO: "Maybe… what is the password?" Beemo responded to the same question differently as if he knew that Marceline didn't know the "magic words" the first time.
M: "Beemo I… need your perfect body?" She said quietly and sounding uncertain.
BMO: "What? I cannot hear you." Beemo was simply teasing Marcy to get her to say it again.
M: "Beemo, I need your perfect body."
BMO: "Oh! That sounds better. Now, what do you want me to translate, vampire lady?"
M: "This stuff right here." She said as she opened her laptop and showed Beemo the screen that she was talking about.
BMO: "Hmmm… this is boring." Beemo said as he pulled a chord from his body and connected it to her laptop so that he could read everything.
After a few seconds of Beemo's screen going blank, lighting back up and displaying random numbers and letters, he returned to his normal face.
BMO: "Well… that's odd."
F: "What is it Beemo?" Finn said, wanting to be a part of the conversation.
BMO: "The internet protocol address doesn't make any sense. It technically doesn't exist."
F: "Uh… Jake?" He was lost because of the technical terms and asked to see if his brother knew anything about it.
J: "I got nothin' brother…" He had no clue what Beemo was talking about either.
M: "Well, what is it, Beemo?" She ignored Finn and Jake's confusion on the subject and just questioned Beemo instead.
Beemo displayed the odd set of numbers on his screen for the vampire queen to see. Naturally, Finn and Jake had no idea what the numbers represented.
BMO: "Sorry, I don't know what it is. The numbers just aren't listed in my hardware."
Marceline just stared at the numbers. At first she didn't seem to recognize anything then suddenly her face lit up and she looked furious.
BMO: "Well, that was the only odd thing about all of this binary. Do you want to see the rest of it Marceline?"
M: "No thanks Beemo. That's good enough. Thank you." She said, trying to contain her anger long enough to thank Beemo.
She got up and floated back toward her room.
F: "What's up, Marcy?"
She was already out of the room and was unable to hear Finn, so he naturally went after her. When he got to the room he saw her scrambling around the room to find things to pack into her backpack.
F: "Where are you going, Marcy?"
She didn't answer him; she just kept packing her bag. She was clearly angry about something; it just wasn't clear what it was about.
F: "Marceline, please tell me…" He was starting to sound worried.
She kept ignoring him. She was too upset with what she just saw on Beemo's screen; whatever it was.
F: "Marcy…" He put his hand on her shoulder to see if physical contact would get her to pay attention to him.
She immediately stopped and turned to look at him. Marceline still looked upset but she knew that she was looking into the eyes of someone that she could trust.
F: "What's wrong?"
M: "I need to go to the Nightosphere to check something."
F: "Whoa. What is it?"
M: "I don't wanna make any assumptions yet but…"
F: "But what?" He grabbed her hands to show that he was listening.
M: "But there's something weird about the internet pro… the address that Beemo showed me on his screen. It said that it's from the Nightosphere." She stopped herself and made sure not to use the confusing technical terms.
F: "Ok… so what? There's a lot of bad guys in the Nightosphere. We can ask your dad if he knows who did it."
M: "But that's the thing Finn… there's only one computer in the Nightosphere. It's basically a place people go to suffer. And there's a lot of awesome stuff on the internet, so my dad banned all computers. Except for his of course…"
F: "So that means that your dad…"
M: "That's what I need to go to find out."
She went back to packing her bag. She didn't expect to be in the Nightosphere long, but if she had to be there, then she wanted to be sure to be prepared for anything.
F: "Let me come with you then…" He honestly wanted to go with the vampire queen because he didn't like to have to be apart from her; especially in a place like the Nightosphere. He spoke from his heart without his mind doing any of the thinking…
M: "Finn, are you crazy? If my dad really did put this "hit" on your head, then every demon in the Nightosphere will be trying to kill you. And I'm sure they all want the prize money. Although they probably won't get it because my dad will probably take the money away…"
F: "Oh, right…" He felt really let down and tried to hide it but it was still mostly obvious.
M: "I promise that I'll come back as soon as possible. And maybe we can do that dungeon crawl like you wanted." She said with a smile, attempting to raise the human boy's hopes.
F: "That sounds pretty math. So… do you need me to get you anything to open the portal?" He spoke up because he noticed that there was no bug milk and he wanted to help out somehow.
M: "Yeah, I need bug milk actually. Can you go get me some? Bonnie usually has some in the fridge."
F: "Sure thing, Marcy." Finn said then left to go get the bug milk.
Marceline was, once again, alone by herself to think. She began to draw the face symbol that was used to open the portal with a heavy heart. She was crushed because one of the most powerful beings to ever exist, her father, wants Finn dead. There was no telling how hard or impossible is was going to be to change his mind. She couldn't even think of why he would do this.
Finn was on the list of beings that Hunson was not supposed to destroy along with Jake, Lady Rainicorn, most of the princesses and other various people and beings.
The only thought is that something really serious happened, or someone was able to bribe the demon lord with the promise of more chaos in the event of Finn's untimely death.
Oh, how he loves chaos.
She knew that if she thought about it too long then she would start to worry too much and she would become unfocused. She had to stay focused to save Finn.
Finn then walked back in the room, with nothing in hand.
F: "Uhhh… Marcy, I don't think she has any bug milk."
M: "Oh it's in the fridge in her room." She said nonchalantly without thinking about it.
F: "Ok." He said happily. He then turned around and went into the princess's room to get the milk.
Marceline forgot to tell Finn that Bubblegum was sound asleep in her room.
Once the human boy reached the door he quietly opened the door and was about to turn the light on until he saw the princess lying there on top of her blankets, in full lingerie.
She must have changed at some point in time after Marceline tucked her in.
F: "Oh glob, not again." He thought.
Finn only felt flustered because he didn't want to be seeing something that he wasn't supposed to see. He didn't want the princess to think that he "wanted" her if she woke up while he was in there. He was still pretty sure that she wouldn't want him either, not that it would matter; he had Marceline and he liked it that way.
F: "I better make this quick."
He crept into the princess's chambers and went straight for the small fridge in the corner of the room.
Princess Bubblegum was out cold, she was exhausted from staying up longer than what is healthy for any normal living thing. But she stays up like that because there's always something to be done or discovered in the field of science.
Finn opened the fridge and the first thing he saw was the bug milk along with some other things…
He saw a few odd things in the princess's fridge. There were a few bottles of alcohol, champagne to be exact, and they were all red bottles. They all had Marceline's name on them. He didn't bother to think much about it, it just didn't seem that important to him.
But little did he know that they were all bottles that Marceline put in there years ago.
But that was a different time.
He just grabbed the bug milk and made his was out of the room. He was about to exit when the princess started to mumble in her sleep, as if she was trying to talk.
PB: "…Mhmm… Finn... I need…" She mumbled almost incoherently.
The human boy listened to see if the princess would say anything important or… enticing…
PB: "Don't leave me…" She was tossing and turning in her sleep as if she was having a nightmare.
Finn didn't know what to think. She was speaking in incomplete thoughts and it was unclear what she was really trying to say.
The mix of the thoughts of what he saw in the fridge and what she was saying was conveying different messages to Finn. They were all confusing but it seemed to single down to one important thing; the princess was unhappy and she didn't know what she wanted. Or at least, she knew but she understood that she couldn't have it because the two things that would make her happiest in life were both together.
This is why she avoids relationships.
This is why she keeps to herself.
This is why she is soo distant from others.
This is why she devotes all her time to science.
This is why she is troubled deep down inside.
Science always exists with new things to discover. It will always have a surprise in the end. At best, it will make her happy with whatever result she finds. At the worst, her experiments will fail and she can just easily move on to something else.
Science is simple. But the princess's heart is more complicated than that.
F: "I know how you feel PB… and I just want you to know… that I still love you." He spoke straight from his heart.
After he told his feelings to the sleeping princess he walked out of her room with the bug milk in hand.
Finn had loved Princess Bubblegum for years; he wanted her to be his for the longest time and it never happened. And now that he's a bit older, the princess seems to want him. It was a very unsettling fact for him to take in. Regardless of Bubblegum's newly re-declared love for Finn, he still had Marceline on his mind.
It was upsetting for him to have to have these two beautiful women on his mind at the same time, both with feelings for him, but he knew that he should stay with Marceline.
He needs to give her a chance to win over his heart.
He liked the thought of that; Marcy winning over his heart…
