What happened last:

Finn hurried to Iceberg Lake where he found the heartbroken vampire queen renouncing her hope for everything and crying her eyes out. After a heated discussion, Finn was able to calm Marceline and they finally confessed their true feelings for one another. And then Finn serenaded Marceline thanks to Jake…

M: "Finn, that song was…"

F: "It was horrible I know!" He honestly felt like it was terrible.

M: "No… it was beautiful…" She walked up to him and hugged him tightly.

Marceline hugged the human boy for a moment then pulled away and placed her hands on his face to get a good look at his heterochromatic eyes.

M: "Oh… Uh…" She blushed and pulled her hands away quickly.

She noticed that the blood on her hands got on Finn's face.

F: "What is it?" He reached up and touched his face and saw the blood on his hands.

M: "S-sorry…" She was embarrassed and felt stupid. She hurt herself for nothing.

F: "Marceline, what happened?" He said as he carefully grabbed her arm and looked at the cuts on her hand.

M: "I uh… got pretty mad Finn… I'm sorry."

F: "No. D-don't be sorry, Marcy. It's not your fault. But we should leave so we can fix up your hand." He was being honest and was only worried about Marceline.

Marceline didn't know what to think in this moment. She always blames herself for everything and Finn told her that it wasn't her fault. It was very different to her but she liked it. She usually never liked change but for once, it was amazing.

M: "O-ok Finn…" She said as she looked away from Finn because she was still a bit ashamed from her self-inflicted injury.

F: "Hey…" He said as he lightly touched her chin to get her to look back at him.

F: "Let's go get you fixed up." He said with a big smile.

Finn then leaned in to kiss the vampire queen. He was finding that he was able to kiss her with ease. He didn't get the "stage fright" type feeling whenever he tried to do it. It always felt soo right and everything about her seemed perfect to him.

M: "Ok, hero." She smiled at Finn once the kiss was over.

Even thought she had more experience with things like this, Finn was still able to take her breath away.

That was something Ash could never do.

Marceline then grabbed Finn with her non-injured hand and she flew them back to the Candy Kingdom.

In flight, Finn had one of his moments of admiration for the beautiful vampire queen. He hasn't had a chance to have one of these moments in a while so it was especially powerful.

He looked up at her as they gracefully glided through the air. She was magnificent. There was no other way for him to explain it. She was everything that he could have ever wanted in someone. She was his best friend. She was… his lover.

She was his light when the world grew dark.

His mind was rigorously thinking about how beautiful and perfect Marceline was. It didn't take long until they were already back at the Candy Kingdom. They landed in the main courtyard and looked around and saw no one. It wasn't a surprise because it was already dark outside. They both started walking towards the main castle building. Finn didn't know exactly where everyone was but he had a hunch that they would be in the kitchen.

They walked in the front door and saw Peppermint Butler chasing Beemo around the house.

P. Butler: "Give me back my tie you fiend!"

BMO: "No! Beemo needs it to be a ninja!"

P. Butler: "Fine! Have it your way." He said as he stopped chasing Beemo and raised his right hand.

He started to say a chant something in an unknown language and his eyes illuminated with a unsettling green glow.

P. Butler: "Oh dark being from the 13th dead world, descend upon this insolent fool who wishes to act in such an uncouth manner."

The room began to darken as a portal to the 13th dead world was about to open and unleash demons on Beemo.

PB: "PEPPERMINT BUTLER!" She screamed at him. She walked into the room and all she saw was the eery change in lighting and knew what Peppermint Butler was doing.

P. Butler: "Oh Wha—What?!" He almost fell over from being startled soo badly. The room quickly returned to normal.

PB: "Are you summoning demonic beings from one of the dead worlds again?" She said as Beemo came and ran into her arms like a small child.

P. Butler: "No I… Yes, princess." He knew that lying wouldn't work in his favor. He's tried before but the princess has ways of making him talk.

PB: "Well… why?"

P. Butler: "Because that little…!" He stopped and took a deep breath to calm himself down.

P. Butler: "Because Beemo took my tie." He said calmly.

PB: "Beemo, is this true?" She said in a sweet voice. She could obviously see Beemo wearing the tie around his head like a bandana.

BMO: "Yes, Bubblegum…" Beemo sounded ashamed.

PB: "Can you give it back?"

BMO: "Ok."

Beemo walked over and returned the tie to Peppermint Butler. He glared at Beemo the whole time regardless of how nice Beemo was about it.

P. Butler: "Thank you, Beemo." He sounded very bitter.

BMO: "You're welcome." Beemo said in a cheery voice. Then he leaned in and whispered something.

BMO: "This isn't over." Beemo whispered then joyfully skipped out of the room with a smile on his face.

Peppermint Butler then proceeded to put his tie back around his neck.

PB: "Peppermint Butler…" She crossed her arms in discontent.

P. Butler: "What?! He took my freakin' tie!" He knew what she was actually unhappy about. And it wasn't just because he wanted his tie back.

PB: "Mhmmm…?" She raised an eyebrow and shifted her weight to her other leg. She told him about how he had to tell her about his black magic usage if she saw him use it.

It's an odd rule, and she knows it. She knows that it's mostly immoral for him to use it and she usually doesn't know his true intentions when he does use it. The princess decided that if it's a "hobby" like he says that it is then she's alright with it… as long as it doesn't cause any tangible problems. It's just an odd agreement that they both have and accept.

P. Butler: "Oh for the love of Death! I was just doing it to scare him. I wasn't really gonna summon a demon to this realm. That would just be… excellent…" He almost whispered the last word as his lust for demonic things was showing his true thoughts on the idea.

PB: "Yeah, sure. We'll talk about this later; along with your little dead friend. You need to stop letting him get out. I don't exactly condone you keeping it here but if you do, you might as well keep it contained." She sounded very understanding.

P. Butler: "I understand completely, Princess. Now, is there anything you need from me?" He was very loyal to the princess and it helped that they both got along well for the most part. She didn't stop him from following his desires and dreams (when they're reasonable) and he never blatantly disrespected her.

PB: "Well, now that you mention it. I'm going to host a slumber party tonight with some close friends and I need your help to prepare. I know it's at a bit short notice…"

P. Butler: "You got that right. It's already tonight! But, I'll get on it right away." He didn't mind one bit helping the princess; especially because he knew that once he was done the princess probably wouldn't bother him with anything else for the rest of the night. That's how it usually is when company is over.

P. Butler: "So… what are you going to need and might I ask who's coming?"

PB: "So, we're going to need stuff to eat and all that stuff and…get the good drinks tonight, ok?" She said with a wink.

P. Butler: "Absolutely."

PB: "And there should only be… 5. Or 6 counting Beemo, but you don't need to bring food for him. Bring a defibrillator or a car battery and… I guess some new AA batteries?" She wasn't really sure what Beemo prefers but she might as well guess.

P. Butler: "Of course. I'll be sure to get something else if Beemo doesn't like those things. Anything else, m'lady?"

PB: "Nope, I think that's good for now. Thanks!" She said in her cheery voice and Peppermint Butler turned and left the room in a very formal looking manner.

In the kitchen

J: "So Lady, what did Bubblegum figure out when she did those tests on you like a week ago?"

Lady: "It's about time. I thought you'd never ask." She said in her normal Korean as she made some "Ma Cha" tea.

The two were just conversing casually about some recent events.

J: "Yeah… sorry about that baby girl. Jakey's been pretty busy helping out his bro. A lot's happened in the past week. So… anything we should be worried about?"

Lady: "Well, she said that there was a subtle forget spell or a cerebral deteriorating incantation attached to that barrier that was surrounding Maja's castle back in the Desert of Doom. Also, she's not sure why it affected me more than you when they pulled me through it."

J: "Oh Glob, Lady! Are you gonna be ok?" He was horrified by the thought that his "one and only" would have serious problems due to the spell.

Lady: "I'm ok, dear. Don't worry. The princess used some sort of chemical that she developed in her lab to fix any possible problems. That's why I've been mostly gone for the past few days. She told me that she needed to test the chemicals in a controlled environment. And I, of course, trust her because we're good friends." She said as she poured two cups of tea for her and Jake.

J: "Oh and I think they disabled the barrier thing when I came through. We came separately remember?"

Lady: "Hmmm… you're right. I guess they let you in to get your guard down and to get you to think it was safe then-"

J:"-they attacked me… Yeah, it sucked." Jake took a sip of his tea.

Lady: "I'm sorry, honey." Lady then took a sip of her tea.

J: "Oh… it's alright, babe. Neither of us knew what was going on. It was a setup from the beginning." He said and kissed Lady on the nose.

The Rainicorn smiled uncontrollably. It always made her happy to know that she was with the perfect guy for her. He was always soo strong and proper. He always knew how to treat her right and protected her and their children with his life; he would die for them without a second thought. They had a love soo strong that their bond could virtually never be broken.

J: "So… how are the kids?"

Lady: "Oh, you know. They all still live in their own apartments… except for T.V."

J: "Heh, that's my boy!" He sounded proud.

Lady: "What? That's not good. I just don't want him to grow up and be unhappy because he hasn't done anything with his life yet."

She was a very loving mother and didn't mind if her kids lived with her or not. She just wants them to be happy, however that's achieved.

J: "Don't worry about that, Lady. That just means that he still loves his mommy." He said as he grabbed Lady's face and placed his forehead against hers. This was a sign that Rainicorns use to show affection and love for others and Jake obviously uses it as well.

J: "I'm sure he'll find his own destiny one day. I'm know the Cosmic Owl or Glob have great things for him one day. It's all just a matter of time."

Lady: "Oh, Jake. You always know just what to say."

They both were just sitting in the kitchen drinking their tea and talking about random things for a few minutes as they drank their tea. It was heartwarming for the both of them to finally have some alone time together.

After talking for a few minutes Jake heard someone walk into the kitchen. He turned to see who it was and his eyes shot open and he felt terrified.

J: " Oh no…Not again."

Shmowzow! It's already chapter 40! Maybe I'm the only one who thinks that's crazy. lol Anyway, how did you guys like this one? The comments always help and I definitely read them all.
