What happened last:

After everyone made it out of the game alive, they continued with Bubblegum's sleepover. Now everyone is about to watch a movie as long as they can decide on one without starting a riot. Finn and Bubblegum went to go get snacks for the movie but the princess led Finn on a slight detour. And now it's time for a serious talk.

PB: "Finn… I think we need to talk."

F: "Oh Glob…" He thought to himself.

F: "About what PB?"

PB: "I think you know, Finn."

Finn knew exactly what she was talking about. It was about the kiss that they shared while in Beemo's game.

F: "Yeah… I think I do…" He didn't know what else to say.

PB: "Then tell me, so we're both certain that we know what I'm talking about." She was making sure that he actually knew what she was talking about and not just saying that he knew just to agree.

F: "I-it… was about when we were playing Beemo's game…"

PB: "And?"

F: "And we kissed…"

PB: "Good. Now we're on the same page."

F: "I-I don't even know what came over me. We were in the middle of a situation that could have gotten us killed and I was just doing whatever would keep us alive. And I know that-" Finn was nervously rambling on, trying to explain himself as if he committed some sort of heinous crime.

Bubblegum placed her hand on Finn's shoulder and he got quiet. She looked him straight in the eyes and analyzed the way they moved. Finn didn't know it but she was reading his emotions and honestly just by how his eyes moved. And Finn was sincere and honest as any person could ever be.

PB: "It's ok Finn. I understand that you did what responsibility called for and that was sacrifice."

Finn was almost stunned from what she said. Years ago the princess said something to Finn like "responsibility demands sacrifice" but he never really knew how true it was until he saw it through his own eyes.

F: "…because responsibility demands sacrifice… It all makes sense now." He quoted the princess.

PB: "See? I didn't tell you that because I was jealous after all." She knew exactly what he was quoting and the situation that it involved.

F: "Oh… that makes a lot of sense now…"

Finn didn't even realize that he and Princess Bubblegum never talked about that emotionally charged conversation that they had that one depressing morning when he was writing a poem to Flame Princess years ago. They had a heated argument because they had a failure to communicate. Finn had no idea that PB was only looking out for the safety of the entire world and Finn's own safety. She didn't try to take away what made him happy for any other reason.

F: "Well, if responsibility already demands sacrifice and it's mostly already predetermined... then why do I still feel bad?. I mean… even if I told myself that I had no other choice and we would all be dead if I didn't… kiss you… then why does it bother me soo much?" Talking about kissing the princess not only was weird because he was with Marceline, but also because he had real feelings for Bonnibel before. And those feelings had always been lying dormant inside his heart.

PB: "Finn, I wish I could tell you. But that's just how it is. I know it hurts but it's just one of the things that responsible people have to deal with."

F: "That can't be true…"

PB: "I'm afraid that it is, Finn. I deal with things like this every day. I fix many problems with some of the candy people in my kingdom and some hate me for it and others love me. But in the end… the problems are gone and everyone is safe. But all of that doesn't really bother me…"

F: "Well, what does bother you then, Bonnie?"

PB: "I-I really shouldn't say…"

F: "Why not, PB? It can't be that bad." Finn was prying at this point.

PB: "Finn I… The only thing that bothers me is…" She was having a hard time telling Finn what was on her mind.

F: "Bonnibel, please tell me."

PB: "It's… it's nothing, Finn. We need to talk about you and Marcy." She was biting her tongue to stop herself from saying what she really wanted to say.

She wanted to tell Finn how she loved him soo much and she wished that she could be with him but responsibility demanded sacrifice… Her soul was on fire to say what was on her mind but she just couldn't gather the courage and willpower to say it. It almost felt as if it went against her beliefs to tell Finn her true feelings.

F: "Bonnie, maybe… sacrifice isn't always the only way to maintain responsibility? The life of a leader can't be just about making sacrifices for the greater good and never thinking about yourself… can it?"

PB: "But Finn… aren't you always sacrificing things for the greater good? Your hair for the tree witch, killing those creatures in Beautopia-"

F: "-the Lub Glubs…" He added.

PB: "Yes, and those were only two little things. Did you know that a bite from a Lub Glub is incredibly poisonous? I did some research one day after you told me about that story. Although it was sort of hard to find them after you destroyed most of them, I was able to locate a few."

F: "How did you find out that they were poisonous?" He said wide-eyed.

PB: "One of the candy people that I brought down there got bit and we had to cancel the entire operation after he started seizing up and foaming at the mouth almost instantly…" She sounded as if she was retelling a horror story.

F: "Whoa…"

PB: "Yeah… Later, I saved him after hours of operating and many candy blood transfusions."

F: "I never knew that they were soo dangerous. I was just trying to help." He was being honest.

PB: "I know, Finn. And that was only a few of the many things you've done out of selflessness. I can't even begin to count how many times you've risked your life for something. I'll still don't understand how you didn't even felt a little bit of fear from those Lub Glub things."

F: "I did, PB. I was terrified but I didn't let it show. I was being strong for everyone else. Courage is never letting your actions be influenced by your fears. And that's what I remember when I'm scared… unless if it involves clowns or the ocean…" He was trailing off.

PB: "Wow… when did you get soo interesting to talk to?" She almost whispered to herself. She felt as if she was falling for him all over again and she noticed it and had to stop herself.

F: "What was that?"

PB: "*cough* nothing. So, about you and Marcy…" She changed the subject back to what it was before they went off on a tangent.

F: "Sheesh… I don't even know what to say... And I don't even know how to bring it up to Marcy…"

PB: "It's not as serious as you think Finn. You'd be surprised how she would be able to relate. And I'm not trying to say that she won't care at all, I'm just saying that this has happened before… sorta…"

F: "What do you mean?"

The princess took a deep breath and began to tell a story to Finn.

PB: "So a while ago, when Marcy and I were together-"

F: "Wait w-w-what?" He almost didn't believe his ears.

PB: "What? You didn't know about me and her? We used to date." She said it as if Finn knew it and just forgot. But she failed to realize that Finn was never told and still doesn't pick up in subtle hints very well.

Even if Marceline told him, he would probably just think they were together as friends or something. The two girls just seemed soo different and as if they could never be compatible.

Oh, how he was wrong.

F: "I-I… didn't know that." His cheeks blushed red and he felt a slight buzzing feeling inside. He didn't quite know why he was feeling that way but it was interesting to him.

PB: "Oh crud. I figured that Marcy would have told you all about it. Anyway… So, a long time ago when me and her dated, Ash apparently came by her house with some sort of "curse" that was going to kill him unless if he got a kiss from a vampire." She sounded a bit irritated as she explained the story.

PB: "She told me that he tricked her into… kissing her and he obviously lied to her. She came to my room later that night and told me about it with tears in her eyes. I forgave her because I knew that she only did it because it was a life or death situation and later we…" She stopped and her pupils shrunk immediately as if she realized something shocking.

F: "You what, PB?"

PB: "N-nothing, Finn. I was going to say that I went and talked to Ash the next day and bonked him right on the nose when I found out that it was true. And he thought it was funny how he tricked her so I hit him again and left… he really is a jerk."

F: "Wow… I hope Marceline isn't mad at me then. But I won't expect that. I still did something bad."

PB: "Oh c'mon… kissing me wasn't that bad was it?" She said playfully.

F: "I… uh…" He was getting shy again.

The kiss was actually a very new and powerful feeling. It felt as if it was the first time he had kissed anyone. It was the same feeling but it was extra powerful when it was produced with someone else.

PB: "I'm just kidding. You don't have to answer that. So, I feel like we had a good talk. Let's finally go get those snacks." She said with a smile.

F: "Ok, PB."

PB: "Oh, and Finn?"

F: "Yeah?"

PB: "Don't mention this story to Marcy or even that I told you unless if she tells you first. She's super sensitive to it and it brings up a lot of bad memories for her."

F: "Of course, Bonnie."

After their long and serious talk, which the princess still kept her true feelings bottled up inside, they walked out of the closet and actually went to the kitchen this time.

When they got there, Peppermint Butler and other various assorted candy staff were waiting to be told by Bubblegum to bring the snacks and the drinks to the movie room. She didn't need help after all.

Finn and Bubblegum followed the Peppermint Butler back to the movie room and say Marceline, flying around in her bat form, holding a movie and teasing Jake.

Marceline didn't know why she was teasing Jake, and he didn't know why he cared soo much. It was the movie that they both agreed on to watch so it didn't make sense why Marcy was acting like this. She was probably just killing time as they waited for PB and Finn to get back.

M: "Oh, you wanted to watch this one?" She said as she waved the movie back and forth.

J: "Give it back!" He was stretching all around the room, in attempt to catch Marceline and take the movie back, but she was just too fast.

Jake noticed that Finn and Bubblegum returned from the corner of his eye.

J: "Finn! Make Marcy give me back the movie!"

M: "What? You think that he has power over me?" She said, almost laughing at Jake's order.

Bubblegum leaned over and whispered something in Finn's ear and smiled right after.

F: "H-hey Marcy, come here real quick. I need to tell you a secret."

M: "That's obviously not true, but I'll play along." She said as she flew over to Finn and returned back to her strikingly attractive human form.

F: "Man, she gets more beautiful every time I look at her." He though.

He then got close to her face and got his lips as close to hers as he could. He wrapped his arms around her gently and her arms went limp and fell to her sides as she closed her eyes in anticipation for Finn to kiss her.

M: "He's being pretty assertive… I like this." She felt her breath began to disappear from her lungs.

Finn then slowly slid the movie out of Marceline's hand and she didn't even notice. She was almost stuck in a trance and didn't care about messing with Jake anymore. Finn hugged Marceline a bit tighter and tossed the movie to Jake behind her back.

He then released his embrace without kissing the vampire queen.

M: "Uh! You're such a tease, Finn." She said in a joking tone.

He didn't say anything, he just winked at her.

PB: "So… How about we stop going off into tangents and get this movie started?" She said as she pulled the cork out of a bottle of what seemed like wine.

M: "Oh boy. This is gonna be a long night."
