"Myka, I..."

What ever Helenas next words would have been, were replaced with a look of surprise as the two of them heard an unexpected bang coming from the entrance of the B&B.

"Myka?" Petes voice rang thru the place and Myka gave Helena an apologetic look before she jumped up from her and turned to walk over to the hallway before Pete could get into the living room and see them in a compromising position.

Helena had just enough time to fix her shirt and slide her hands thru her messy hair, before Pete and Myka walked into the room and she did her best to lean back and act casually.

"Hello Pete. Back so soon?" I will not show him that he is unwelcome. I will not tell him to leave. I will not jump onto Myka the moment he turns his back to us. I will be the perfect lady that I was thought to be. It should not be that hard to keep my hands away from her for a while. For Gods sake, I do have some self control left in me!

Pete shoot a few glances between the two women. He recognized the movie that was playing on the TV, and the bedazzled look in H.G.s eyes, not to mention the smeared lipstick, and decided to just ignore the vibe he was getting between them for the millionth time in the last week. His situation needed solving now; and what ever is or isn't going on between them can wait just a little bit longer.

"Pete got into a fight with Kelly, and she..." Myka started to explain, but Pete interrupted her.

"Kicked me out." Pete sat defeated on the couch next to Helena like a sack of potatoes.

Myka did her best to act casual and be there for her friend, but honestly, his timing was the worst. For gods sake, she was making out with H.G. freaking Wells a minute ago! Not many people can say that. Not that it actually matters that its H. ; I mean it does, but not in the OMG I am making out with a famous author that is supposed to be dead for years kind of way, but in the OMG I am making out with the most beautiful, sexy, smart woman whos name happens to be Helena G. Wells. I should ask her what the G. stands for one day. Actually I should stop talking to myself and pay attention back to poor Pete who seems to be...smiling? What the...?

"You are right! You are so right. Should I go right now? I wanna go right now. Is it even..." Myka stared at Petes rambling and had no idea how his features changed from being a sad little puppy in one moment and looking like an excited kid the other moment.

She was just about to ask, but her eyes caught sight of dark chocolate ones looking back at her, with an expression Mykas hasn't seen in years. She knew that look. Hell, she was pretty sure she was wearing the look on her face for the last couple of days; but seeing that look, that expression in someone elses eyes, it just blows your mind. Especially when that look is directed to you. She could have melted like ice from just her look.

"If you feel that that is the right thing to do, I do not see a reason why you shouldn't just go for it. I think that when you love someone, when being around them makes you happy, and when just the thought of them makes you smile, and you can not wait to see them, to wrap your arms around them and show them that they have been on your mind all day...there is no obstacle big enough or unbreakable in front of you, that you could not go thru to be with the one you love."

Helena had no idea if she actually manged to make a point out to Pete, but she had no doubt that she had made a point to Myka, from the look on her face.

Myka was Petes best friend, but Helena was the only one talking to him at the moment. She found it amusing that she can be such a distraction for the younger agent, but Myka caught up on the conversation and was now asking Pete some questions about...cake? What does cake got to do with love? What kind of question is...oh never mind.

"Well, well, well. Who knew the great H.G. is such a romantic. You know what?" Pete stood up from his spot and walked a few steps to the center of the room and turned back, looking at the two women siting across from each other. They do look cute together.

"I will just go for it. Thanks H.G. And Myka, can I talk to you alone for a moment?"

Myka walked right behind them and the two of them disappeared into the hallway for a few minutes, before Helena heard the door close behind Pete, and saw Myka walking back into the living room.

Both of them looked nervously around, avoiding each others eyes, but they knew there are two ways this night might end up like. And since Pete interrupted them, and it was getting pretty late...

"We should call it a night." Both of them spoke out at the same time, and looked at each other surprisingly. Myka nervously scratched the back of her head and she walked towards Helena, siting by her side and looking at the blank screen of the TV where the movie was playing not long ago.

"I'm sorry." Myka really was sorry, but not for the reason Helenas mind though she was.

Helena felt hurt, but acted non affected by those words. She knew that Myka would one day or the other regret ever giving her a chance. I guess it is better for this to happen sooner rather then later, before someones heart gets broken.

"No need to be sorry, darling. Some things are just not meant to be. For what its worth, I did have a wonderful time tonight." She smiled sadly at the agent next to her and wanted to get to her room as soon as possible to clear her thoughts and focus on something else other then being rejected by Myka.

All Myka could hear is that Helena had a wonderful time with her and she smiled happily at that, completely unaware of what Helena was thinking to herself.

"I'm happy to hear that. That means you will say yes to having a wonderful time tomorrow night with me, as well?" She gave her the most hopeful look she could manage and moved a little bit closer to her.

"What?" Helena didn't know if she understood her words correctly or if the wine she drank tonight gave her a slow mind. She doesn't get affected by an alcoholic beverages that easily.

"A date." Mykas smile was still plastered on her face, as she moved her hand up to Helenas shoulder and tangling a lock of dark silk hair around her finger.

"What?" Is she asking me on a second date? A moment ago she was sorry we even had our first one. She was apologizing the whole night ever happened.

"Basically a repeat of tonight. You know, eat, drink, chat...maybe do some other things too."

Myka was acting pretty confident the whole evening, but at the thought of doing other things with Helena made her face burn red. She didn't even notice Helenas confused expression on her face.

"A date?" Myka only nodded at her. "But you just said you were sorry."

"I am sorry. Sorry we got interrupted by Pete before. What did you think I was referring to?"

Helena took a moment to process all that Myka is saying, to process the whole evening, the last two days. Helena was acting insecure, and nervous and unfocused, and all that because of Myka.

"You know what, never mind what I thought. I will love to have a wonderful time with you tomorrow night as well." Helena cleared out her mind for a moment and leaned into the felling of Mykas hand on her shoulder.

They both stood up after a while and walked up the stairs to Helenas door.

Helena moved closer to Myka with the intention of leaving a light peck on her lips, but ended up kissing her with more passion then a good night kiss was supposed to have. As she finally managed to push herself away and take a deep breath, she couldn't help but smile at Mykas closed eyes and her head still leaning close to hers.

She taped her finger on her lips and locked her eyes with the others, as Myka finally opened her eyes and smiled back at her.

"Good night Myka." Helena walked into her room and closed the door behind her, leaning onto it, overwhelmed from the whole night. She heard Mykas voice coming from the other side of the door and smiled even wider then before.

"Good night Helena."
