Thought/Flashback/Dream
Chapter 19
Her skin was soft and warm, just like in his dreams. Now she was asleep, naked through the sheets next to his body, in his bed. She slept peaceful under the starlight that came softly through the open window.
Elmont couldn't sleep. He still didn't believe she was there, he thought that if he fall asleep, he risked waking up and find it was all just a dream and instead of Elissa's body beside him, he would only have a huge and empty loneliness. Although he knew he shouldn't have given in to desire the truth was that he wanted it to become real in a long time. Not days, not months, but years. Long years since he'd first seen her and left himself captivated by her beauty, her long black hair, her grey eyes...
Elmont never find in himself to hope that she could return his feelings, and with all the knight and princess relationship, had turn impossible as he was her guardian and she was the princess, Elmont quickly put away the possibility that Elissa could ever return his feelings. Elmont had learned to deal with the feelings that grew within him, every day, learn to love her, hiding, with increasing difficulty, everything he felt for her. He had sworn to protect her with his life and gladly he would do it.
When the engagement was announced, Elmont had discovered the pain of loving someone and see that person in the arms of another, he was happy when he discover that the engagement with Roderick wasn't and never had been to her liking and Elmont had spoken to her...
The worst pain he ever felt was when he saw her body with blood, falling into the water, crying his name for help. He had thought she died... The memory of that night had hunted him, filling the ends of his mind.
And when he saw her alive he wanted to crush her over his body, wanted to say what he felt for her... He felt so content to see her alive... He didn't have words to describe but he wasn't alone with her, he couldn't tell her how much he was happy to see her alive, he couldn't tell her how he felt guilty for her suffering over those weeks...
When he had kissed her for the first time, it had been so good. The feel of her body close to him, her warm and soft lips against his but then his consciousness take the better of him, Elmont had left her alone. And he had been cold to her, had been distant with her after that kiss…
He had been so mean to her; he didn't want to see what she felt for him.
And Elissa had run away.
Elmont had thought she wanted to kill herself, he lost control of his emotions and said everything to her... And she had said that she loved him...
Since the moment they had came back, as the weeks passed, he saw Elissa smiling more and accepting things more easily. Elmont always tried take her to quiet places where the two could enjoy the company of each one and increasingly Elmont had difficulty in repressing the desire he felt until tonight. Elissa had come to him; he did not expect to find Elissa in his room, just with a simple robe wrapped around herself, tempting him.
And he had tried, tried so hard to resist her but he lost his self-control.
In the instant he had kiss her, he had realized that he couldn't stop, even he wanted too.
He had tried to hold back these feeling for so long.
Elissa had responded to his kiss with passion, until the desire began to grow, strong in both of them. They made love that night. With Passion. With Tenderness. With Love.
And now Elissa slept beside him and Elmont refused to believe in that simple fact. Until, at his side, sleeping, Elissa whisper his name and reached out for his hand. Elmont only then knew that he could fall asleep because she would be there in the morning.
When she woke up Elissa thought that she had dreamed. Elmont lied beside her, caressing her face with devotion. His fingertips delighted with the exalted beating of her heart. She couldn't hide a smile and Elmont smiled back.
"What's on your head that brings such glow to your eyes?" his hoarse voice brought shiver down her body.
"I was thinking about what happened" his smile faded.
"I'm sorry…"
"Do you regret what happen?"
"No, Elissa" he signed "I just wanted things to be different between us" his fingers traced the scar in her forehead slowly. He wonder how much pain had she suffer in that night. She sign and moved closer to him. Elissa look at him, the sheets rustling with every movement she made, his eyes burning in her soul, watching her carefully.
"It's not your fault, I already said… That day wasn't your fault…"
"But I feel responsible…" he kissed her "How do you feel? Sore?" he smile and brushed his fingers over her side. He pressed his hand to her back, fingers tracing along the arch of her spine and looking down at her. Elmont brushed his lips over her neck, his chest pressed against hers, Elissa tremble against him and he smile.
"A little…" he pushed gently her back against the mattress and kissed her softly, Elissa ran her hand through his hair. Elissa's body felt so good under his hands. Elmont enjoyed every sigh and moaned and gasp that he was dragging from her as his fingers and mouth caress her warm and soft skin. His lips were warm and felt exquisite against hers.
Then a knock was heard and he stopped and look at her wide eyes.
"Who is it?" his strong voice was heard all over the room.
"Crawe" they heard the handle of the door move "why do you have the door locked?"
"I do?" Elmont looked to Elissa and she gestured that she had locked the door, he nodded.
"Yes. Anyway you have to come…"
"What happen?" Elissa smile and he smile back, she was what had happen. Surely some handmaiden had discovered that she wasn't in her room.
"Princess Elissa… She disappeared again"
"Are you sure?"
"Why don't you sound worried? Do you know something about it that I should know Elmont?"
"Of course not, I'm going right now…" They heard footsteps and Elissa began to laugh against his body and he chuckle. He rose from the bed and put on the pants that rested on the ground and grab her robe. When he looked to her she was watching him, and blushed deeply. "Something you like?"
Elissa looked away and heard him chuckle.
"What do we do now? How can I leave your room?" he smirk.
"I have an idea"
"How do I look?" Elissa spin around and Elmont laugh.
"Perfect…"
"Elmont you don't know how to lie… How about the truth?"
"Ridiculous…" Elissa thought the same, she look ridiculous standing in the middle of his room wearing own of his large shirts and with pants on. She would have to leave his room.
"Are you sure about this?"
"Yes. And if anyone ask you why are you dress in that way you can always tell you are going to continue with your training in archery"
"But…"
"Don't worry about me, love. I'm not in any danger" Elissa smile to him, he was sitting on the edge of the bed, his armor already on his body.
"Unfortunately you are… If someone finds me here or sees me leaving your room in this hour of the morning questions and assumptions will be made"
"You were the one who entered my room and seduce me, not the way around, Darling. So I should be worried …" his eyes sparkled amused and Elissa smile.
"I seduce you?" she approached him slowly.
"Yes…" he whispered, disbelief present in her face and he smile. "I am only a man after all. What did you expect from me? Full control?"
"Well…" he grab her hand and pull her to him.
"I can't control myself around you… You don't know the power you have in me, Elissa" he pulled her to a kiss but she slip away from him and smiled maliciously and began walking to the door.
"It's better if I leave you" he groaned slightly.
"You will leave me without a kiss?" Elissa ignore him and smile when she look to him
"You gave me a great idea…"
"What it's about?"
"Archery… You can teach me again. Since I disappear I lost some of my arm movements and I had to exercise to recover… So, if my instructor isn't occupied, I would like some time with him so he can teach me"
"I don't know, you have to ask him"
"I'm sure he can find the time…"
"No, it seems he can't…" he smiled to himself, and then he stand up and approached the door past her.
"Very funny… I didn't know you have it on you…"
"You don't know what I have in me, my dear" He spin around and grab her arm, lowering his face to hers. His lips met hers; the kiss was soft and slow without any demands or haste, full of love. "It seems he change his mind. He will find time to help you"
