After two days they let me out. I can tell you that I feel better now. The bruises will heal. I'm worried about my ribs. I wonder how much time it will take to heal. The point is that I can walk and work and I don't even have to miss out the party which is made for my honor. The event is going to be tomorrow. I want to attend it very much even if my face is so messed up. I'm at home now lying on the couch waiting for Sian to come home with my parents. I'm happy that they can attend this party for me. Also, Sian and me going to tell them the great news that we are expecting a baby.

My phone rings. I look at it. It's Maddie. I immediately pick up the phone.

Sophie: Hi Maddie!

Maddie: Hi babe! I got the job. Today I was at your workplace. They even invited me to your party tomorrow. I'm so excited! After the party we could go to yours. What do you think? I didn't even seen your place yet.

I don't even know what to say her. Nothing good lie comes to my mind. I feel again the guiltiness in me.

Sophie: I… I don't know. You know my house is very messy. I don't think you want to see it.

It was my life poorest lie. I try to take her attention on something else.

Sophie: Do you want to start the house hunting tomorrow?

Maddie: Really? Would you do that to me?

Sophie: Of course.

Maddie: I know it sounds sloppy but I fall in love with you more and more.

This conversation is starting to be hard for me especially now that I want to break up with Maddie.

Sophie: You know me. I'm loveable.

Maddie: Actually I don't know you so good. I would happy if it would change. I want to get to know every minutes of your life.

Sophie: I'm sure we can work on it.

I hear the front door opening. It's Sian with my parents.

Sophie: I gotta go. Bye!

I end the call.

My parents greet me with big hugs.

Sally: Oh your beautiful face! What have those bastards done with you! I hope they get their punishment for what they did to my daughter.

Sian: Don't worry, Sal. They will get it. The police caught them.

Kevin: Good to hear that. If they wouldn't I would kill them with my bare hands for touching my daughter.

Sophie: Let's don't talk about it, okay.

Sian: Right. By the way we could talk about happy things.

Sophie: You wanna tell now?

Sian nods.

Kevin: What do you wanna tell us?

Sophie: It's that me and Sian…

Sian: We're going to have a baby. I'm pregnant.

Sally: That's great!

Kevin: We're gonna be grandparents.

My parents are completely head over heels about the baby news.

We're having a lunch together.

Kevin: I heard you got a promotion. That is great. I'm really proud of you!

Sophie: Thanks dad! Are you going to the party with me in my workplace, right?

Sally: Of course we will. We wouldn't miss an important event like this. So, how long are you pregnant Sian?

Sian: About one and a half months.

Sally: I hope Sophie always goes to the doctor with you. It's very important to be there as a supporter for you and a baby.

Sian: Of course, she is! She is my best source of support.

After lunch Sian and dad went watching television. I'm doing the dishes with my mom. I told her that she doesn't have to help me because she is a guest now but she insisted helping me.

Sally: Are you and Sian okay?

Sophie: Of course mom.

Sally: Are you sure?

Sophie: Yes mom. Why do even ask it?

Sally: I ask because last time Sian had a miscarriage.

Sophie: Yes mom. I know.

Sally: Are you sure that everything is going to be alright now?

Sophie: We're sure. We're always going to doctor appointments. We try to avoid anything that could cause harm for the baby.

Sally: I'm happy to hear that.

Sophie: Everything's fine! Stop worrying please.

Sally: Don't say those word for me. You're my daughter I always will worry for you.

Next day Sian and mom went shopping together. They definitely want to buy new dresses. I'm okay with my own dresses. I have several of them. I won't waste money on that. Also, there's a lot that I didn't even wear so there has to be a dress to show.

I'm out with my dad. We're taking a walk.

Kevin: So, everything is alright between you and Sian now? Because I know everything was very hard after the miscarriage. How do you feel now about the baby?

Sophie: Well dad, I already had a talk with mom about it and all I feel now that I couldn't be happier. I have Sian as my wife a baby on the way. That's all I need.

Then we bumped into a guy who was dad's friend from school. They went into a pub chatting. I'm alone but I can think I can use the time I have. I call Maddie.

Sophie: Hi Maddie! How about if we start the house hunting now?

Maddie: Fine idea!

I told her where I am and soon she came.

Sophie: Hi!

She came to me and give a peck on my lips as greeting. I'm very surprised and I feel a bit nervous about this because what if someone who I know sees us. I wouldn't have a good end.

Sophie: Where do we start? Is there any house that you want to take a look at?

Maddie: To be honest, there is some.

Sophie: Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!

After two houses and five flats we already found a place for Maddie. Maddie likes it. I'm renting the flat for her. The guy from who I will rent the house doesn't if Maddie moves in right away. After the guy leaves we're staying together in her new home.

Maddie: So… are you excited?

Sophie: About what?

Maddie: The party.

Sophie: Oh yeah. Yes, I am. Of course I am.

Maddie: I can't wait to see your face when you will look at me in my super sexy dress.

Sophie: Are you sure you want to come?

Maddie: Yeah, I'm your girlfriend. I have to be there.

Sophie: Actually, I think everything is so messed up now. You just quit from that horrible place. I got beaten up. Don't you think we should take things slow?

Maddie: What do you mean?

Sophie: I mean that we should not jump into a relationship. We should start as friends.

After I say those word she slaps me.

Sophie: Why did you…?

Maddie: You want to know why?

She seem angry.

Maddie: Because you can't say that we should be friend because you came after me even when I didn't want to. You always came and I can't believe that now you're the one who doesn't want me. Are you bored of me now? Was I just interesting for you while I was a prostitute?

Sophie: I know and I'm not bored of you. I just I think we need just a little time to bond as friends.

Maddie: Well, you're at wrong place if all you wanna do is make new friends. Please go now!

She sounds very angry and disappointed now but there's nothing I can do about it so I go.

As I leave the flat I feel upset about the situation. I don't want to hurt her. I don't want her to be angry because of me but at least I solved a problem. Well, I just hope I did because I can't be sure she doesn't come to this party. If she comes it will be the hell for me.
