What happened last:

Marceline was successfully able to bring Finn back to a normal state of consciousness and return his soul. Although the Hero of Ooo is back alive, the big problem still exists. Maja is on the loose with her large army and she's apparently traveling far north in the Ice Kingdom. Now the question is… who will recon Maja's activities?

The room was silent. Nobody wanted to volunteer for this daunting task because they all knew of the risks. The danger was very real and it could easily cost anyone their life.

Anxiety began to infest Finn's heart and pressure from dread of having to do this task was building up inside. He, of course, didn't wasn't to go on this dangerous adventure but he was the Hero of Ooo. He was given that title years ago and he's lived up to it. He swore that he would always protect the Candy Kingdom and other friendly kingdoms with all of his will. He didn't want to do this… but he sure as heck was going to do it anyway.

PB: "So… before we all try to figure out who should go… does anyone want to volunteer to go?"

F: "I- I'll-" He began to reluctantly say.

M: "No, Finn. I can't let you do that to yourself. I'll go PB. I can go invisible so it'll be simple."

PB: "Ok Marcy so-"

F: "No… I don't want you to go by yourself. What if something happens to you, Marcy?"

M: "I'll be fine, Finn. I got powers and stuff."

F: "Well, I don't think that's a good enough reason to go by yourself…"

PB: "Maybe Finn's right, Marcy. Maybe you two should go together to make sure each other is ok. You two actually work pretty well together." She spoke with honesty.

Marceline wanted to continue to argue with Bubblegum because she didn't want to risk Finn's life like she had done soo many times recently. She believes deep down that she's to blame for all of the bad things that have happened to him as usual, but she couldn't help but realize that Bonnibel was right. She and Finn really do work well together.

M: "I-"

F: "Yeah, Marcy. We can do this together." His voice sounded smooth and calming.

M: "Y-yeah, Finn. We can do it together." She smiled and her cheeks blushed a bit. She truly felt unconditionally loved by Finn and he made it obvious.

J: "Well, if you guys are going then I'm going too. I'm not gonna let Maja gronk up my bro again."

PB: "Yeah, that's a good idea. So it's settled. You three will go check out Maja's activity in the Ice Kingdom and report it back to me."

F: "Yup, sounds good, PB."

M: "So, what are you gonna do while we're gone?"

PB: "I have plenty of things to do in order to protect against a possible attack so I'll be very busy." She sounded completely honest but Jake noticed a small hint of nervousness in her voice of which he just ignored.

M: "Ok, I probably could have guessed that."

PB: "Uh huh. So, I propose that you guys should leave later on when it's dark out and only travel under the cover of night."

F: "That makes sense."

The room had a moment of awkward silence as everyone ran out of interesting things to say.

J: "Well, I'll see you guys in a couple of hours. I gotta go tell lady that I'm gonna go spy on Maja." He said then quickly left the room.

Jake has been very distant lately. Nobody was sure why he was acting like this or why he's been acting more differently and more defensive than usual. Jake hardly even knows why he's not acting as careless as he usually does. The real reason is probably because his family and friends are always on his mind and he knows that if something happened to him then it would hurt more people than just himself. His mindset was a result of all of the terrible things that have been happening lately and he feels as though being careful is the best possible thing for everyone right now.

F: "Well, uh… I guess we should get some supplies ready or something." Finn awkwardly said and started to walk backwards towards the door to see if anyone else was going to say something else before he left.

M: "I'll go with you." She followed him and they both left the war room. They headed straight to the room that Finn was originally staying in where most of his stuff was.

Finn was no stranger to survival-type situations and he felt as though their mission to go spy on Maja might not take just a few hours. The Ice Kingdom is very large and would be difficult to traverse in one day.

Once everyone was out of the room, Princess Bubblegum closed the door and listened to see if anyone else was somehow in the room. Everything was quiet except for the subtle pitter-patter of little mechanical feet sneaking around.

PB: "Nice try, Beemo but I know you're there." She said smugly.

BMO: "Awww… dang. I was soo close to assassinating you. You're pretty good." Beemo said while stepping out from a shadow in the corner of the room.

PB: "Well, it wouldn't be the first time that someone tried to kill me." She chuckled.

BMO: "Oh well, I'll just go try to get your butler now. I'd say his goose is cooked!" Beemo cutely said and walked out of the room with one of Peppermint Butler's bowties in hand. The door to the war room closed behind Beemo as he walked out and it locked.

PB: "Ugh… I'll probably be hearing about that stolen bowtie later…" She sighed, knowing that she would most likely have to get Peppermint Butler's bowtie back before he gets mad at Beemo and loses control like he did last time.

Once she was alone, she listened for anything or anyone else that would be in the room again. After a few moments, she concluded that nothing else was in the room and she walked to a bookshelf that seemed unimportant. It was, of course, covering a door that leads to another room that was even more secret than her war room. She reached up to a very inconspicuous looking book and pulled it off the shelf.

It was a bizarre book that was titled Fingerprint Encryption Algorithms. The title didn't make much sense but it wasn't exactly supposed to. It was intended for two basic functions: to confuse and bore anyone that would pick it up and to act as a remote lever to open secret doorways.

Bubblegum flipped through the book slowly, observing all of the hundreds of fingerprints inside and lines of very boring text to find the one specific print on the 120th page. She chose that page to be the one with the correct fingerprints to activate the super-secret door. She then placed a few of her fingers over the prints and placed the book back on the shelf.

A secret door seemed to have appeared out of nowhere behind the bookshelf once she put the book back. She then pulled the large wooden bookshelf out just enough to slide behind it and then pulled it back to its original position as she stepped through the door.

This secret room wasn't as high tech as the other one. And for good reason. There walls were made of stone and the only source of light were candles. The princess pulled a matchbook out of her pocket, lit a match and proceeded to light a few candles around the room so she could see. Perhaps the most technological things in the room were a few pens and paper that she had down there making this room the most primitive in the whole kingdom. She made sure to keep as much advanced technology as she could out of this room. When it came to technology and gadgets, Bubblegum lived by one very important rule.

"The more technology you have, the more vulnerable you are."

~Princess Bonnibel Bubblegum

PB: "*sigh* I wish it didn't have to come to this… but even I get desperate at times." She said to herself.

The princess didn't like what she was about to do but she knew that it very well might be the only way to fix their problems right now. She wasn't sure that what she was about to do would help, but she at least had to try.

PB: "Here goes nothing…" She said as she took a piece of chalk out of her pocket and began to draw…

Back to Finn's Room…

Finn hastily walked into his room so that he could prepare for the potentially perilous journey. He knew the most important things that he needed to bring; water, multiple layers of clothing to keep warm, first aid materials, etc. His backpack was lying on the bed and he grabbed it so he could start to pack his things. He almost had tunnel vision and didn't notice anything besides what he was planning on doing until he turned around and saw Marceline standing in front of him; looking as beautiful as ever.

He wasn't thinking about anything besides saving the Candy Kingdom and its people. He wanted to protect his friends and family and of course, Marceline. He had all of these serious thoughts in his head without anything else on his mind; until he saw her. She stood before him looking as innocent and tantalizing as ever.

M: "Finn…" Her eyes said everything. Her heart was breaking because Finn just came back from basically being dead and now he's going back out on a dangerous "adventure" to help other people selflessly. It may have made Marceline's heart sink and feel broken but it also made her strong. She just took a moment to look into his eyes and reflect. After all this time of being around Finn and really getting to know him, she realized that there's no more genuine person in the world. Finn always wanted what was best for everyone even if it was at the expense of his own safety and health. Sometimes he slipped up and acted selfish or stopped caring about something or someone but that was always ok. Everyone needs time for themselves and everyone needs to relax and only think about themselves every once in a while.

Finn looked deeply into the vampire queen's deep crimson eyes. They still seemed to be getting more and more dull by the day but nonetheless vivid and astonishing. He knew what she was thinking and he had the same thoughts on his mind.

F: "Marcy, I-" Finn was interrupted by Marceline intensely pressing her lips against his as she held his face. Normally when she kissed him, she gave him the opportunity to speak just in case he wanted to. But not this time.

Marceline couldn't get enough of Finn and all of the accumulated fear of losing him was getting the best of her. She was beginning to feel like she did hundreds of years ago when she fought for her life every day with her old friend Simon. She was getting the old mentality that everyday could be the last and she could lose any one of her friends or loved ones in the blink of an eye. Finn has been very close to death soo many times recently so she's slowly becoming just a bit paranoid.

Normally, tears would begin to rush down Marceline's cheeks from the fear that Finn might get himself killed but it just didn't happen this time. She was scared, but she knew that Finn was scared too; he just didn't show it. And that gave her all the motivation she needed. She knew that staying positive and focused could possibly be the only thing that would keep everyone alive. The best part about feeling as motivated and confident as she did was the fact that they weren't going to leave yet. They had a few hours before they had to leave. And Marcy didn't bother to waste any of that time…

She started off kissing Finn slowly then quickly increased the tempo. She was slowly walking him backward towards the bed. Finn stumbled as he walked until his feet hit the end of the bed.

Upon hearing Finn's foot bump into the base of the bed, Marceline gently applied pressure to the human boy's chest; indicating that she wanted him to fall backwards onto the bed. And he immediately did. He sat down to where his legs were dangling off the bed.

Marceline gracefully levitated into his lap and sat down. She reached out and held his face in her hands as she leaned him back onto the bed. She continued to kiss him but with more aggression than passion. The vampire queen was feeling kind of naughty and she didn't know why. But she didn't really care and nor did Finn. He was completely content with whatever she was feeling and wanting.

Their kissing became more and more intense as their heartbeats increased and their adrenaline began pumping. Finn's face started to flush a bit red from the blood rushing all over his body and Marceline's hair seemed to progressively get more and more messed up as it usually did in situations like this.

A lot of the times when they started to do things like this, one of them usually says something for comedic relief or just because they always kept things involving their relationship very friendly and feeling very natural. But not this time. Their minds were feeling more mature as yet another potentially deadly mission lies ahead of them that they both must endure. They almost began to feel as if this was routine for them. It didn't really dawn on them until about now that they both may just be trapped in a cycle of repetitive misfortune and hardships.

Deprivation

Love

Devastation

Hope

…And the cycle restarts…

If Finn and Marceline ever had hope of living a peaceful and "kind of" normal life together, then they would need to find some way to break the cycle. This solution was, of course, not known to them although all of the answers were obvious.

The problem with their fate may have been something that festered in the back of their minds but that didn't take away from the emotions that they both were feeling ever soo strongly right now. The vampire queen had Finn caught in the heat of the moment and they both were doing whatever they wanted because they were alone.

Marceline was pressing her body up against Finn's because she wanted him to feel her close to him. It was an intoxicatingly interesting moment like any other and they both planned on doing whatever was going to happen. They weren't going to hold back anything; they had no reason to.

The vampire queen kissed the human boy on the lips once more then she proceeded to sensually move her lips along Finn's body all the way down to his stomach. She kept moving downwards until she was on her knees and right in front of him. She rubbed her hands along Finn's thighs and inhaled deeply as she felt along his legs.

Eventually she began to slowly pull his pants down towards his ankles to where he only had his underwear covering the rest of his lower body. Then she slowly dragged her lips along his legs towards the human boy's inner thighs. Finn shivered a bit as the vampire queen touched his most sensitive spots.

BMO: "What game are you guys playing?" Beemo's voice sounded louder than normal because he was interrupting Finn and Marceline during a very intimate moment.

M: "Ugh!" Marceline sounded irritated but she didn't move. She remained eye level with Finn's crotch for a few more seconds out of frustration.

Finn was just about as calm as Marceline and he was also as irritated. He laid backwards and his arms flailed backwards onto the bed. Beemo ruined yet another intimate moment. Beemo's ignorance with knowing what he walked in on was a bit comical but it was still a bit annoying.

M: "We're uh… I-I don't know Beemo. It's not a fun game so you probably wouldn't like it." She tripped over her words a bit in attempt to make up a satisfying answer for Beemo but it just made the cute little robot more curious.

BMO: "Well, I like games so I might like it. How could you know?" Beemo sounded adorable and Marceline couldn't argue.

Finn was thinking about saying that it's a game for "adults" but that wouldn't make any sense for Beemo so he didn't say anything. He expected Marceline to know what to say. But she didn't…

There was a brief moment of awkward silence and then Beemo left.

BMO: "Well, it looks like I'm out of time. I need to go carry out some super-secret missions that I can't tell you guys about; so I'll just be going." Beemo said while leaving as if he was trying to increase everyone's interest on what he was doing but everyone already had something important to do.

After Beemo's unannounced entry and leaving the room, Marcy and Finn just remained still while they recovered from the odd feeling of Beemo walking in on them yet again. They were almost getting used to it because they weren't as bashful about their relationship together as they once were.

F: "Heh… Beemo seems to do that a lot." He said as he chuckled a bit.

M: "Do what?"

F: "Uh… Beemo seems to ruin the moment a lot…"

M: "Oh… he ruined it? I didn't notice…" She seductively said as she continued to do what she was doing before…

She lowered herself back down to Finn's lap and the human Boy's muscles tensed up once again in anticipation of what was about to happen. The vampire queen's breath shallowed as the adrenaline began to flow through her veins.

It was intoxicating.

It was amazing.

It was poisonous…

A few hours passed as the beautiful vampire queen spent her time with Finn the Human. They talked, they had their intimate moments together, they laughed and they even danced a bit after the subject came up randomly in a conversation. It was something that they both needed and it made them both feel good on the inside.

This was something that they truly needed before risking their lives on one of Bubblegum's missions.

Who were they kidding? It wasn't Bubblegum's mission… it was something that they needed to do for everyone. It was a mission for Ooo.

Glob save them if they fail…

Well, after a brief hiatus, it's good to be back. Hope you guys enjoy this chapter. :p
