Hi guys! So welcome back to this chapter, beware we kind of do a little jumping around with a few characters so that's a heads up for you. Life goes good for me just a little…idk much. But here's a chapter to hopefully perk everyone up.

There was a strict silence in the car. The two pureblood's shared a deep silence and a heated un-breaking eye contact. Kaname's burgundy eyes stared at her calmly, waiting for her expected reaction. Yet hers, Yuki's eyes had lost the control she held of hiding her emotion perfectly. Her skin prickled with an unknowing chill that shook her bones creating a slight tremble.

"He…he was…he did this?" She barely mumbled out, pressing a hand to the temple of her head. She looked to Kaname for a sign of misleading. But his eyes remained unmoving, as a pureblood's gaze should be. Yuki's own were growing wider, with realization spreading through her mind before he pulled her closer into a tight embrace.

"Yes." He whispered hotly into her ear. "He did this to you. To us. He made us suffer and delay our happiness…is that horrible?"

She couldn't reply but closed her eyes to bury her face in her chest.

"I just never want to see him again…never." His arms tightened around her, while his chin pressed atop her head.

"I couldn't agree more Yuki, but you don't need to worry. You won't have to."

Yuki's breath came out in a small cloud before evaporating upward to blend into the same shade of the sky above.

"I guess we wouldn't do it out here." She whispered to herself looking around the large back garden of the Kuran estate. Right under the gazebo, she was leaning over the rail to look over the maze of hedges that were in a way behind it. While at her back was the open ground with dozens of rose bushes planted and withering away. Her eyelids lowered again in a slight disappoint in the hopes to do a wedding out under the open sky, however Kaname surprised her with plans already arranged to take place within the next week. He knew I would say 'yes'…and that the Hunter's Association would say 'yes'. She thought pushing away from the rail.

The wind gently stirred her long hair and caused a small shudder under her thick wool coat. In a way, reminding her of the chill in that hunter's eyes.

He gave me this curse. She reminded herself trying to disarray the feelings of doubt. I can't remember anything about my child hood, or even my parents with what he did to me. Kaname is right, I don't need to worry.

She found herself standing before the entrance of the maze hesitating a moment to head down the narrow halls of shrubbery.

"How hard could it be?"

It wasn't until her sixth turn that she started to regret even thinking she could decipher her way through the long maze. And even worse at trying to reverse the order of her steps to weave through the entrance. A Kuran was stuck in a Kuran maze.

"Well I'm a little foolish." She sighed, leaning against a wall with a small sigh of quick defeat. There was a giggle. She was sure she heard one causing her head to shoot around to spot the intruder.

"Zero!" A voice giggled softly.

"Whose there?" Yuki called out walking around another corner to a crossroad of the maze.

"Zero! Come on!"

"Ruka?" She called again looking around and trying to see if she could catch her companions scent though received no reply. "Or is it a trespasser?"

"Kaname-sama…Zero….Yori and Headmaster." The names kept being said over and over again it seemed, in different tones that went from loving to frightful. "I need to protect him. I need to find him."

"Who?" Yuki asked in confusion, picking up her pace.

"Not me….you."

"Me?"

"Us."

"Who are you? Where are you?!" She began yelling in frustration.

"I get it you love him."

"Who?"

"I will always…love Kaname-sama."

Yuki slowed to a halt finding herself in the center of the maze, a ring with a fountain in the center.

"Don't you remember?" It asked, she knew that voice somewhere but only turned her head in confusion. "Don't you remember anything? The people you love?"

"My past doesn't matter." Yuki tried to reassure herself. "I love Kaname. Living with him for the rest of my life is all that matters."

"You never thought that before. You wouldn't leave if it meant abandoning your friends."

"Leave where?! I've always lived here."

"You wouldn't be hearing this if you thought otherwise. If there wasn't that one ounce that preferred boots to heels. Or to be under an open sky than a closed area. A few unexplainable things that keep you curious."

"Looking in the past solves nothing." She reminded herself again, feeling a small pain in her head with agreement.

"Then why is it that you keep trying to find it?" Yuki felt her breath hitch and the air itself become still, followed by a phrase of a familiar distant voice.

"I will kill you."

"STOP!" She screamed releasing a wave of power that ripped through the shrubs.

"Yuki-sama! Yuki-sama?!" Aidou's voice yelled in panic. She could hear the grass crunch under his fast pace, and didn't even realize her legs give way beneath her.

"Yuki-sama!" Ruka joined in, they weren't far but were having to make their way through what was left of the maze.

"I was cursed by that hunter. That's the only piece of my past that I need."

"Yuki-sama!" Aidou gasped in seeing her on the ground and wasted no time in kneeling beside her. "Are you hurt?"

She felt a snowflake fall beside her cheek, before looking up to Aidou who seemed to stiffen.

"I'll be fine."

"Yuki-sama…." Ruka sighed catching up and frowned at the sight. "Does something trouble you?"

She blinked in confusion and raised a hand to her cheek to feel a trail running along from the corner of her eyes.

"What?" She asked again, her voice rising up a bit with anxiousness. The two exchanged concerned looks before Aidou gently helped her up.

"Come back inside Yuki-sama, it isn't right for even you to be out here in this cold."

"I'll draw you a warm bath to relax yourself." Ruka oddly volunteered and stepped ahead. Like any other time they were with her, Ruka volunteered a meditating way to held relax her, Aidou had an arm carefully placed at the small of her back to lead her along and Yuki was grudgingly lead back inside.

Kaname scratched at the back of his neck in frustration. His annoyance was growing greater with the meetings and treaties built with the treaties after the proposal held two weeks ago. Kiryuu luckily having no involvement both pleased him though gave him little concern.

He best has given up. He chuckled at the thought and picked up a nearby pen. The game is won, and the knight I once used is checked mate.

He grinned to himself in amusement before pushing the only piece apposing him with the end of his pen, until the piece was half way over the edge of the checkered board. With a knock of the door, he didn't even look up from the board but only sighed in recognition for entrance.

"Kaname-sama, Aidou has made a call."

The pureblood gave the noble his full attention full of concern.

"What happened?" He managed to not growl.

Akatsuki diverted his gaze with a small indication of his head down to his feet.

"He only said that Yuki-sama…she seemed to be falling ill."

"What does he mean? How?" He panicked rising from his seat. It's impossible; she shouldn't have any more doubts in what I tell her.

"Aidou said it had something to do with her emotions leaking through. He found her in the back of the garden in the maze, something seemed to trouble her enough that she practically blew away half of it. That's when they heard her yelling and even saw her tears."

What an unplanned for twist… Kaname pondered a moment turning away to decide his next move to carefully arrange his bride to be. She couldn't have broken through the blockade without a trigger, and a stronger one then last time at that.

"Anything else?"

"He thought it was enough to call you out of concern."

He closed his hand gently over the queen piece before breathing deeply.

"Wine…until I return…a little wine will always calm her again. By now they've probably already given her some."

Then when I return and ask about what troubled her, she will hide nothing in telling me.

"As you wish." Akatsuki replied bowing deeply.

"Akatsuki." Kaname stopped him, though didn't even turn to look over his shoulder. "You may go ahead in returning back to the manor. I fear for my fiancées protection and would feel at ease if you went."

"As you wish." The noble again murmured with a low bow before making his exit. Kaname sighed again, before sinking back into his chair.

"One more week…and this will all be behind us." He closed his eyes in thought. "Then I will be able to stand by my Yuki…forever."

"This is as much that I will tell you." Kaien replied stiffly, tossing the invitation onto the floor before the figure leaning against the wall in a depressing slump.

"I know that they're getting married." He growled out, fingering the trigger of his gun.

"I thought you would like to try." Kaien suggested receiving a dry chuckle.

"Try? When I talked to her she looked to me nearly with as much hatred as her brother. She doesn't believe a thing I would say…he brainwashed her. You do something about it. You're her 'daddy'."

"Yuki looks happy with him is all I can say. Kaname wrote to me before the meeting to tell me how her dormant vampire side has taken the better control, and now he's right."

"That's the biggest load of bull I've heard since Kaname saying he-" Zero didn't even finish before shooting at the invitation only causing a small puff of smoke.

"I believe that…the way they are together makes me believe that if he asked for her head she would give it to him. Though he would do the same of course. But I thought you would try once more to persuade her to postpone or reconsider." Kaien sighed, before turning away. "I have another contract to attend to, so I leave it to you; just try to stay out of trouble."

"Is Kuran going to be there?"

"Of course." He replied taking another step closer to the door.

"And Yuki?"

"No…Kaname has sent her back to their estate for her to relax before the wedding."

Zero wobbled to his feet before grabbing his trench coat off the bed.

"Then I want an answer to a question. How do I get there?"

"Take the train at one. At the eighth stop you'll be in a thick wood, follow your instincts from there is all I can tell you."

"Must you be so vague with directions?"

"I shouldn't be telling you at all, concerning Kaname's last warning. But all the same, I won't stop you."

"Then I'm glad I'm not the only fool." Zero muttered lowly, though held no doubt that Kaien really heard him.

Zero did as exactly as instructed and was careful to draw little attention to him as possible, so keeping to the back of the train. It wasn't until three that he set onto the platform that did seem to stick out of nowhere in the surrounding forest. Though found it an even longer walk in no general direction in particular but paused upon hearing another set of feet.

"So this is the reason I was sent back." Came in agitated sigh of annoyance tuned together with Zero's. He turned around to see the tall flame haired noble, holding a suitcase in his hand that he carelessly dropped aside. "I suppose I must take care of you before I can get any rest."

Jumping back he missed the sudden pulse of flames that evaporated as a figure leapt out.

"I don't want to fight you, so this is a warning to leave the property. If we fight it would only because everyone trouble."

"I demand a presence with Yuki." Kain let out a heavy sigh and rubbed the back of his head.

"Kaname-sama gave us our orders to not let anyone on the property. And if you refuse to leave willingly, then I have no choice." Another wave a fire flew down to Zero who dodged it and pulled out his gun to shoot past Kain's head. The shot hardly startling him.

"I won't miss my next shot." He hissed.

"And I won't get hit."

Yuki sat up once again in the master bedroom and looked around at the noise she was hearing. Rubbing her eyes she sat up with a heavy yawn and looked around. It was annoying at how there was too much noise disrupting her after becoming at ease again.

She could sense the presence; she wasn't clueless to who was trying to invade the property. She only let out a heavy sigh of annoyance.

Why can't they do this at a more reasonable hour? She slowly got out of bed and went to the closet, pulling out a long sleeved blouse and jumper…Kaname had some odd young girl tastes for when it came to her clothing, she realized with a sweet smile. Flipping her hair over her shoulder, she picked up a pair of ankle boots that she bought on their outing, with a promise to only wear them occasionally.

Walking out to the window she opened the latch and jumped out swiftly landing on the ground. She walked on casually and slowly in the direction that she heard the commotion; until she heard the footsteps behind her did she pause.

"Aidou…" She said smoothly. "Good morning."

"Kaname-sama said you wouldn't be up until he probably came back, and as usual, we were told to protect you and keep you in the mansion."

"Well I'm not going to be getting any sleep with all this noise. Who's trying to disturb us?" A hand gripped her arm as she glared over at the blonde's serious face.

"A hunter, which makes it much more impertinent that we keep you hidden. Kain and Seiren will handle him for you."

"And what does he want?"

"He wants to speak with you… and it was a direct order from Kaname that he was not aloud anywhere near you."

"I'm going to allow him a short council…then he has grounds to leave."

"Yuki-sama…I cannot allow this." Ice encased her waist as it traveled up her torso to her neck. "Forgive me but I must protect you from a hunter."

The ice shattered from her pureblood powers as she kept walking.

"He is simply a level E, and with your ice powers, if he tries anything you can stop him very quickly."

A small red tinted his cheeks as he quickly followed.

"Very well Yuki-sama, but the moment there is danger you will run."

As the two came closer to the scene, Yuki paused as Aidou held out his arm to keep her back from the fired shots and blasts of flames. She caught sight of the head of silver hair, and her eyes narrowed with a greater annoyance with the hunter.

"Kiryu!" She shouted to him. The two paused and looked to her, Akatsuki letting out an irritated groan.

"Damn it Hanabusa you had the easiest job." He muttered.

"I insisted on coming here Akatsuki, Aidou insisted on becoming my body guard for the situation." Yuki replied to him before turning to Zero. "I heard you wanted to speak with me, and make it quick I want to go back to sleep."

His eyes remained cold and shocked as he looked her up and down.

"When did you start dressing like that?"

"If you came all the way out here to ask what I'm wearing every day, then I'm afraid we should build an electric fence for you." He chuckled.

"I must say…he's got you dancing to his tune perfectly. My question is to why you're doing so?"

"I do so…because he is my fiancée….and I do so for whatever will make him happy."

"Well that's odd…"He muttered raising his gun to point at her. Aidou immediately intercepted his path and Kain already had a ball of fire in his hand. "The last time we met before you're engagement, you acted as yourself. Before you're engagement you knew who I was. Why don't you now?"

"Will you swear to leave if I answer? Everyone here clearly wants you to."

"That's if you don't want my answers." She let out a sigh.

"My memories were erased by a hunter…I have no memory of who I was as of before Kaname told me about myself."

He chuckled, quietly under his breath.

"I don't believe it; you've turned into his little marionette." He chuckled darkly, pointing the gun towards her again. Aidou pushed her behind him protectively while glared to Zero. "Wake up already! Can't you see the spider's web you're in?"

"You dare disrespect me and compare me to a fool and accuse my fiancée of creating a trap, let me finish Kiryuu. I was shot by a hunter…A hunter who carried a pistol…"

Zero frowned following where this was going when her eyes narrowed with a bright glow of red.

"You were the one to shoot me that night without my brother here; I am the owner of this land. Leave and you won't be harmed. But if you take the smallest step towards me…you will regret ever meeting me. I have my wedding to focus on, so I never want to see your disgusting face again." She turned on her heel with a small nod to Akatsuki. "Make sure he's on the next train."

Zero's mouth was hung agape, with no words coming through his lips as her words rang in his head, before he felt a sharp pain in the back of his neck and darkness consumed him.
