Phew... Finally got a chance to update this fic! x3
Still, sorry for the wait, buddies! I'm busy with stuff— mostly school... I'm just finished my school's Term 2 Mid-Test. ^^"

Chapter 17 : Rematch of the 'Dark'
Weird... Why I've already forgot about this?
Megaman looked around the corridor he was in. Unlike the previous two corridors he had went into, the corridor was big this time, with the floor below modified like stairs.
I think Shademan also got redesigned and upgraded... I'm better be ready for anything, the Blue Bomber thought with a firm nod, before he began to walk to the grey metal door in front of him and proceed forward.
Once he was on the other side of the grey metal door, Megaman found that he's now inside a small room. Two brown pillars with blue orbs adorning it could be seen at the wall on the left side, which had a unique-designed window that shows night, purplish sky outside.
I wonder if Dr. Wily did something so the sky is purplish only at this place...? Megaman thought, head cocked to the side as bright green eyes fixed to the unique-designed window at the wall.
Not long after, Megaman could hear a faint sound of flapping wings coming from above. When the Blue Bomber shifted his gaze from the window to the dark ceiling, suddenly, something flew down at high-speed and landed to the floor below, which create smokes for the hard landing.
As the smokes cleared, Megaman found that the something he saw not long ago is actually someone, which none other than Shademan.
"My, my. What a surprise to meet you again, Megaman," Shademan said, his wings spreading slightly. "It's been a long while since we last met... You looked very different today."
"Same to you, Shademan," Megaman replied, looking at the vampire-like Robot Master. "By your new appearance, Dr. Wily must have upgraded you too."
"Ah... So you know," Shademan chuckled, bowing slightly to the Blue Bomber. "I would like to talk more to you, Megaman. But given the fact we came from opposite side, then a fight it is."
"I somehow expected that you'll get straight to the point," Megaman muttered, switching his left hand to a Buster. "Well, then. Let's finish this, Shademan!"
"I may have lost the last time we fought. But now," Shademan spread his wings, a smirk on his face, "you'll be history, Megaman!"
*Music Starts : 8 Big Boss (Megaman 7)*
Megaman charged energy into his Buster before he launches it at Shademan when it's fully charged. Seeing this, the vampire-like Robot Master flew up to avoid getting hit, which made Megaman's charged shot to hit the wall instead.
"Nice try, Megaman. But I assure you this battle won't end like last time!" Shademan exclaimed, crossing his arms before his face. "Now it's my turn! Noise Crush!"
Shademan swung his arms down from his face, releasing multiple ring-shaped green waves to Megaman from his mouth.
Unfortunately for the Robot Master, the Blue Bomber reacted quickly by stepping to the side. When the 'waves' bounced back to Shademan, Megaman quickly release a charged shot to avoid Shademan absorb it to make a bigger 'waves'. In result, the vampire-like Robot Master manage to absorb the bouncing 'waves', but not get a chance to launch a bigger wave from it as Megaman's charged shot hit him.
"Ugh!" Shademan cried out, the force of Megaman's charged shot brought him slightly to the back. "M-My, my... I can't believe you got the first attack, Megaman... But I won't lose!"
Shademan launches more 'Noise Crush' to Megaman, but the Blue Bomber prepared for it, sliding on the floor to avoid the 'waves'. However, just as Megaman was about to shot Shademan, the 'waves' bounced to the Robot Master quicker than before, allowing Shademan to absorb it and release a bigger 'Noise Crush' to Megaman, hitting the Blue Bomber and sent him hard to the ground.
"Uagh!" Megaman cried in pain, as the force from Shademan's special attack make the floor below the Blue Bomber cracked slightly.
Shademan cackled with a grin. "Hehehe... My attacks deal more damage than yours, Megaman. You'll lose."
Megaman slowly put himself to a sitting position, quietly grunting in pain. The Blue Bomber then looked up, his bright emerald eyes focused to Shademan's green ones.
"S-Shademan... You know the battle has just begun, right?" Megaman said, slowly standing up from the cracked floor below. "So don't get too cocky."
"Oh, my," Shademan laughed, merely shook his head. "Now that's just funny, Megaman. I won't get cocky unless I've defeated you."
Megaman sighs. "You just don't get it, do you?" the Blue Bomber brought his Buster hand up, filled with energy. "Alright, then. I'll just have to defeat you then... Mega Buster!"
"Heh! This fight won't end like last time, Megaman! Noise Crush!" Shademan followed, also launching his special attack.
The fight continues for a while. Megaman firing shot after shot and Shademan launches his 'waves' again and again.
A few minutes later, both robots stopped to recover.
"M-My, my... You're tough, Megaman," Shademan commented between his panting.
"S-... So do you," Megaman said between his panting, his right arm holding his Buster left hand.
Shademan looked at the Blue Bomber for a moment, thinking what to do. But a moment later, idea popped within his mind. "So, Megaman..." the vampire-like Robot Master muttered, a smirk plastered on his face. "... Giving up?"
Megaman seems startled at this. "W-What...? O-Of course not! What makes you think I'll—!"
"Well, then," Shademan interrupted, spreading his wings, a grin on his face. "I'm almost out of energy... Mind to let me take yours?"
Megaman grew confused at this. "W-... What are you—" the Blue Bomber began, but was cut off when Shademan stared at him... which somehow made Megaman unable to move from his spot.
"W-What the—" Megaman began to say, but paused when Shademan flew and stops right in front of him.
"I should've known you're still not immune to my petrifying stare, Megaman," Shademan muttered with a grin, showing his fangs. "Now if you'll excuse me, Megaman, allow me to steal some of your energy..."
Megaman's eyes widened, newly remembering that Shademan could absorb energy from other robots to fill up his own. The Blue Bomber tried to move, but found that he can't. The vampire-like Robot Master grinned at this, reaching for his 'immobile' enemy...
Just as Shademan was about to reach Megaman, however, an explosion suddenly occured at the wall beside them, surprising both robots. This also make the effect from Shademan's petrifying stare to Megaman gone.
Both Megaman and Shademan whirled, finding a large hole was left at the wall, smokes coming from around it.
"W-Who would interrupt my..." Shademan trailed off, teeth grinding together in annoyance as anger slowly rising up from his core.
Suddenly, two voices were heard. While the voices confused Shademan, it shocked Megaman.
"BOMBMAAAAN! I told you to NOT destroy this old building!"
"Geez! Give me some slack, Cutman! I'm bored with the lack of explosives here!"
As the smokes cleared, two robots could be seen, glaring to each other, teeth grinding together in irritation.
The first, tall one was none other than Cutman, while the second, short one was Bombman.
Like the rest of Light's family, Bombman also got redesigned. He got blue eyes and his armor are more detailed, and a writing of 'L' colored white was stamped on the upper left part of his chest.
"Explosives were not needed in my job, Bombman!" Cutman yelled in annoyance. "Besides, it's your fault to tag along with me, even after knowing my job doesn't include explosives!"
"Hey! Blame my free time!" Bombman snapped back to the timber-felling Robot Master. "Besides, I ever tag along with Gutsman and Fireman, and found that their job were quite fun! I expect more at your job, but geez! My job is way better than yours!"
"Are you insulting me there?!" Cutman yelled angrily to the demolition Robot Master, his right eye twitched. "Look, why don't you just go back home and do nothing? Or maybe track down where Blastman is and tag along with him instead? It's way better than hearing your pointless rambling here!"
Megaman arched an eyebrow up. Cutman and Bombman...? the Blue Bomber thought, a confused look plastered on his face. W-Why are they here...? And how...?
"... Cutman? Bombman?" the Blue Bomber began to say. "W-What are you both... doing here?"
Both Cutman and Bombman tensed upon hearing Megaman's voice, slowly turning their heads to the source of the voice.
Both robots yelped in surprise. "M-Megaman?!" Cutman was the first to recover from the shock. "W-What are you— I-I mean— D-Dr. Light told me that you're—! ... Oh."
The room fell to an awkward silence as Cutman and Bombman realized that Megaman wasn't the only one present in the room— Shademan was also there, looking annoyed, standing far from Megaman as he had flew away from the Blue Bomber the time he realize Cutman and Bombman were Dr. Light's robots, and thought they were sent here to help Megaman.
"H-Hey! D-Don't blame me that I reached here, Shademan! In fact, I had no idea at all!" Cutman exclaimed, arms flailing around. "The city's lumberjacks told me that the trees at the west side far from the city has gold inside it! It's just rumors from people around, but the city's lumberjacks still intrigues to prove if the rumors were true or not, and they sent me here to check on it! Bombman decided to tag along since he's free from job! T-That's all!"
"Yeah, that's right! How are we suppose to know the old-looking building is your place, Shademan?" Bombman followed, crossing his arms.
Shademan looked angry at this. "W-What the— THAT doesn't excuse the fact you both interrupted my fight with Mega—!"
"Oh, right. Megaman, do you have any fire-elemental weapons with you? I've cut down a tree, and turns out there's this inside it," Cutman said, showing Megaman an old-looking small chest. "I've tried to use my 'Rolling Cutter', but it didn't work. Bombman's 'Hyper Bomb' also failed to do something on this chest. I want to try to use fire-elemental attacks, but we have none."
"H-HEY! Don't ignore me— I'm right HERE!" Shademan cried out, obviously displeased with him being 'forgotten' by the others.
Unfortunately, the three Light bots not paid any attention to him.
"Fire-elemental weapons? ... Wait, I think I got one. Wait for a sec," Megaman closed his eyes, and with a calm tone, he said, "Activating weapon data number entry number five."
Megaman's armor started to glow and change in color— his body suit transformed in color from light blue to yellow, while his cobalt armor changed in color to deep orange.
"Now put the chest on the floor, Cutman. Let's see if this will work," Megaman uttered, watching Cutman placed the chest on the floor as he and Bombman took a few steps back.
"Alright. Here I come..." Megaman pointed his Buster arm to the small chest, while Shademan groaning aloud.
"Grrr... I CAN'T take it anymore!" Shademan spread his wings, flying towards Megaman. "You are history, MEGAMAN!"
Cutman and Bombman noticed Shademan's movement, and was surprised to found Megaman not notice it. They cried to the Blue Bomber of Shademan's arrival, but Megaman was too focused on the small chest below him...
"Solar Blaze!" Megaman cried out, launching two fire waves and aim it to the small chest. However, 'Solar Blaze' was known as a weapon that goes to opposite direction when it launched. So after the two fiery waves hit the small chest, it flew to the left and right side.
Shademan gasped, currently at the right side of the room, watching the fiery wave came for him. He tried to move away, but...
"G-Gah! T-Too bright!" Shademan shielded his eyes with his hands, resulting the fiery wave to hit him.
"U-UAAGH!" the vampire-like Robot Master cried out, tremendous pain coursed his body as he was thrown to the wall behind him, making a loud wall-cracking noise...
Yet with all that loud sound, Megaman still unaware of what's going on.
"Hey! It's opened!" Megaman said, not realizing that he had done a big damage to Shademan.
Cutman and Bombman had their mouths agape. How come their blue-armored brother still unaware of what's going on, even after Shademan had cried aloud in pain and the loud wall-cracking noise that boomed around the room just now...?
"Wow! Looks like the rumors were true! Look, Cutman, Bombman!" Megaman lifted his right hand, which holds 5 pieces of 1-gram gold. "It's real gold! Maybe the small chest was from many years ago so it got inside a tree today!"
"U-Uh, okay, Megaman. W-We got it, alright?" Cutman said nervously, with Bombman nodded somewhat quickly. "L-Look, Megaman. You remember who you're fighting with... r-right?"
Megaman gave the timber-felling Robot Master a confused look once he heard this... At least he was, until he realized what Cutman really meant.
"A-AH! Shademan!" Megaman turned his body around, only to find said Robot Master on his knees, groaning in pain, the wall behind Shademan had large cracks on it.
"... Eh? W-... What happened?" Megaman uttered in slight shock, wondering why Shademan seems pained while he haven't done anything (at least, that's what he thought).
"It's 'Solar Blaze'," Bombman said, deciding to tell what Megaman had missed. "It seems the weapon was Shademan's weakness. While the light from the fiery waves are normal to our eyes, Shademan seems not immune to the light. He got hit when you're focused on the small chest, Megaman."
Megaman was surprised by the news. Shademan's weakness is 'Solar Blaze'? How...?
Then he knows. Solarman was a sun-elemental Robot Master! Megaman remembered, a loud gasp escaped his mouth. Sun could be described as same as a very bright light, so for a Robot Master like Shademan... I-I see! So that's why!
"G-Grrr..." Shademan's groaning voice was heard, bringing the three Light bots' attention to him. "W-... What's the meaning of this?! N-Not only I'm... b-being treated like nothing, b-but I also got hit by m-my... w-weakness! DANG IT! E-Even the upgrades c-couldn't stand attacks with... b-bright lights?!"
Megaman kept silent, his bright green eyes focused to the pained vampire-like Robot Master for a moment before he sighs.
Shademan... Megaman thought, pointing his Buster to the Robot Master far in front of him. It somehow feels not right to attack you, especially knowing your current condition... But I need to defeat you to go on.
Lowering his head, Megaman closed his eyes, his Buster ready to launch an attack.
I'm very sorry, Shademan...
"SOLAR BLAZE!" the Blue Bomber cried out, turning his body side ways and launch two fiery waves that goes to the opposite direction. But just like how Solarman used it before, Megaman can control the fiery wave that goes to the opposite to Shademan's direction. This resulting the two fiery waves to hit Shademan, making the vampire-like Robot Master cried aloud in agony.
"UAAGH! U-Urgh..." Shademan groaned in pain, putting his left hand on the floor to support himself up, his eyes closed shut.
"D-Dang it... I-I can't believe this..." Shademan muttered, opening his eyes and looked up to Megaman. "Y-You've won again, Megaman... B-But remember! The n-next time we meet... I-I'll definitely beat you!"
With those last words, small explosions began to covering Shademan's body, making trails of dark smokes coming out from the explosions' spot as his eyes become blank. The vampire-like Robot Master then slid down into laying position as no more movement coming from him.
*Music Ends*
Megaman switches his left arm back to his normal hand, his armor changed back to its normal color.
The feeling of relief and guilt slowly made its way to Megaman's core as he stared at Shademan's defeated form.
"Ugh... N-Not this feeling again..." Megaman uttered with a frown, placing his right hand to his chest.
"H-Hey, now. It's alright," Cutman walked to Megaman's right side, placing a hand on the Blue Bomber's right shoulder. "You don't need to feel bad about this. It has to be done."
"Yeah, Megaman," Bombman followed, now standing at Megaman's left side. "You're doing great. So be be happy, alright?"
Megaman gave a small smile to his two brothers. "T-... Thank you, Cutman, Bombman. Your comforting words meant something to me."
Giving himself a nod, Megaman walked over Shademan's body, kneeling beside him. The Blue Bomber then brought his left arm to the Robot Master's body, and in instant, something was flowing through his left arm before it spread completely inside his body.
"Alright... I got your data, Shademan," Megaman said, getting up on his feet. "Well, I have to go now..."
The Blue Bomber turned to his two brothers. "Cutman, Bombman, are you coming with me?"
"I'm in," Cutman replied. "I would like go to Dr. Light for my routine check up before going back to my job."
"Eh, guess I'll do the same as Cutman," Bombman followed. "So yeah, I'm coming too, Megaman."
Megaman smiled. "Alright, let's go back home then," he uttered, as the three Light bots activating their teleportation system and set it to go to their home. As soon as they're done, they vanished from the place in the shape of light beams...
