"Mark," said the Chief, coming into his office.

"Chief," greeted Mark.

"I need you to do something for me," said the Chief.

Mark nodded.

"One of our residents has just collapsed. Tests reveal something to do with her ears. You're one of the best ENT's. Will you do the tests?" asked the chief.

Mark nodded. "Sure. Who is it?"

"Lexie Grey," said the chief.

Mark felt all the colour drain from his face.

"Something the matter?" asked the Chief.

Mark groaned and put his head in his hands, running his hands though his hair before looking up at the Chief.

"We're involved and I don't been a fling I mean a proper relationship," explained Mark.

"This is the first I've heard of it," said the Chief.

"Meredith got Derek to warn me away from Lexie. I tired I really did try. Grey was trying to be a good sister. The thought got stuck in my head, I really tired and then she came to my hotel and came onto me. I tired to stay away afterwards but I wanted her. Now I I don't know," mumbled Mark.

"Now you've fallen in love her," smiled The Chief.

"I think so," sighed Mark. "Please Chief don't tell anyone Derek will kick my ass if he finds out."

"You're secret's safe with me now go see to Lexie," smiled the Chief.

Mark tired to be calm as he headed down to Lexie's exam room, he tired to be calm as he entered but really he wanted to run, he wanted to burst in. He couldn't he had to stay calm and collected especially since some intern was about to stitch Lexie's face.

"I'll do that," he said, gruffly as he entered the room.

The intern scarpered off quickly.

"I'm fine," whispered Lexie.

"The Chief said you had problems with your ears," answered Mark. "So I will stitch up your face and then you are going for tests."

"I think its wax," yawned Lexie.

"We'll soon find out," smiled Mark.

"It itches," she hissed.

"Well if you just let me put the first of these drops in it'll be fine," laughed Mark.

Lexie stayed still and let him.

"God now it feel like I have water submerged in my ear and it tickles," giggled Lexie.

"You'll get used to it," smiled Mark.

She stretched and snuggled into.

"You tired?" asked Mark.

She nodded into his chest, he bent down to pick her up and carried her to bed. Within minutes despite fighting it Lexie was asleep and Mark soon followed her.
