Teach Me

Chapter 4

She went to the bar, she chugged back a drink. She spoke goodbye to the bartender and left. She crossed the street to enter the beautiful hotel, crossed to the elevator banks and pressed for up. The carriage came and in she stepped. Pressed for floor twenty three and when she arrived she headed to room two hundred and five. She knocked, the door opened.

"Teach Me," she whispered, her eyes gleaming as she remembered their first night.

He smiled, laughed and pulled her inside covering her mouth with his before the door even closed shut.

"Where were you last night?" asked Meredith, falling into step with Lexie who was once again moving her ring around her finger.

"What oh out," answered Lexie.

"You were with someone," gasped Meredith. "Who?"

"Oh no one you know," answered Lexie. She smiled because she was right her Mark, the Mark she saw the sweet Mark was nothing like the Mark they knew.

Minutes later Lexie was in surgery but halfway though was splattered in putrid goo from a patients infected insides. She wasn't allowed to scrub out so two hours later, the goo was hard and tangled in her hair and dried on her neck.

She had a change of scrubs in Mark's office and toiletries so she was going to use the key he had given her and use the privacy of his office to shower and dress in private.

As Mark entered his office minutes later he heard his shower running.

"Lex that'd better be you," he called, as he locked his office door.

In the shower Lexie was in her own little world as the water poured down on her, that was until a pair of arms wrapped around her. She was jolted out of her thoughts but then leaned back on Mark's chest.

"I was just about to get out," she murmured, as Mark moved then round so he can lean on the wall and he could cradle her against his chest.

"With soap in your hair?" asked Mark.

"I wasn't aware I still had soap in my hair," answered Lexie.

"Turn around I'll rinse it for you," smiled Mark.

Within minutes Mark had rinsed off Lexie's hair and was painstakingly drying every inch of her body. Once they were dried and dressed Mark carried a very tired Lexie to his sofa where he covered them both with a blanket and they drifted off.
