Teach Me
Chapter 5
It had been two months. Two months of bliss. Colourful hand laundry decorated the bathroom in an array of tank tops, bras and panties. Her body products and hair products sat besides his in the shower. While her pink toothbrush stood in the holder with his.
Pants and shirts hung into between his in the cupboard and her underwear was mixed his bright array of panties. While her hair curler and straighter sat in the cupboard and strands of her reddish brown hair was entwined with his sliver tipped hair in his hairbrush. Lexie Grey was all but moved into Mark's hotel room and Mark was all but ready to move out.
"Well your stuff won't be here much longer," said Mark.
"What?" asked Lexie. "Are you breaking up with me?"
"What? No, no I mean in this room. I'm getting an apartment. Well I'm looking," said Mark.
"So my laundry," said Lexie.
"Will be in my laundry room," smiled Mark. "Our laundry room if you want it to be."
Lexie stood and stared.
"I'll be in the shower," said Mark.
Lexie needed a shower but she also knew if she had to wait for Mark to finish she would be late for work. So she'd have to shower with Mark – bad idea. Kick him out the shower or leave now and shower at work.
"Mark," she called, as she headed into the bathroom.
"Yeah," he called thought the shower door.
"I need to go otherwise I'm going to be late," said Lexie.
"Do you need me to get out of the shower?" asked Mark.
"No it's ok," said Lexie. "I'll shower at the hospital."
He opened the shower door and popped his head out.
"You sure?" he asked.
"Yeah I'll see you later ok?" she said.
"Yeah," said Mark. "I didn't freak you out did I?"
"No I just need time to think though get my thoughts in order. It's a big decision," she said.
"Ok," said Mark, kissing her. "See you at the hospital."
As Lexie entered the hospital Meredith fell into step with her.
"Where have you been recently?" asked Meredith.
"What do you mean?" asked Lexie.
"You're never home. You're never around. Your clothes have gone missing," explained Meredith.
"You've been threw my things. Ever thought there in my locker?" asked Lexie. "In case I need back up."
"Never thought of that," answered Meredith.
"I need to go get ready for my shift," said Lexie, walking off.
It was a few hours before Mark was in but once he was Lexie walked up to him.
"Doctor Sloan can you consult this chart?" she asked.
"Sure," he said.
"I can't wait to see your apartment," smiled Lexie, in a whisper.
"So this is a fake consult?" whispered Mark.
"Yes," whispered Lexie.
"I haven't found one yet," said Mark.
"Well I'd like to help you look," smiled Lexie. "For us."
"You want to move in with me?" asked Mark, glancing round them as Lexie pointed to spot on the chart.
"Yes,"
"Well I'll start looking," he whispered, before walking off.
Lexie smiled as she glanced down the chart in her hands. She was on Mark's service. He had no surgery for an hour or so. And they were moving in together.
