I apologize these chapters are so late! I do plan on finishing this story soon and creating an epilogue so no worries.

Also…I considered having a breakup at some point, maybe a really bad falling out, and I actually wrote this chapter five different times to see how it would flow and I couldn't seem to make it work. Hence why it took me so long. In conclusion, Jack and Hiccup will not break up; they will have a major issue to resolve together but that is it. Also Sandy and Snot will get another chapter I promise!

Thanks for being so patient with me guys, I know it seems like I forgot about this story but in actuality, I've been trying to make it work! So I promise I'm updating as fast as I can and I can't thank you enough for loving this story and sticking with it and being so great about all of it. Thanks again and I hope to have the next chapter up a little sooner this time. Fingers crossed!

"Sounds awesome, Jack!" Flynn commented as he finished filming Jack's song. Pascal was painting a few details on their set while Baby was in the other room adding some extra touches to Jack's jacket he would wear. Today was just a test run to see what camera angles would work but pretty soon, they would begin filming the real thing. Flynn had already gotten good shots of scenery and people he wanted in the music video, but Jack's part would be the big one. Not only that, he'd have to record him soon. In a nutshell, making a music video took a lot of time and effort, especially if it was only three young students doing all the work.

But all of them were positive and having a blast. Jack was even forgetting his worries with Hiccup honestly. And he'd taken his boyfriend's advice and saw a counselor. He hadn't realized how much he was holding in and he supposed it helped just having someone to listen and give advice, especially since the one person he usually depended on wasn't here twenty four-seven.

It was weird at first, opening up to a complete stranger, but over time, it just sort of became easy to talk about himself and his past with ease. As he did he felt as though a weight were being lifted from his shoulders. He had less back pain that was for sure!

Jack smiled at his friends. Even they began to notice how much better he seemed, Flynn commenting at one point he wanted to redo a lot of old footage of Jack because he seemed more at ease with himself. He looked over at the clock and gasped, "Guys, I gotta wrap this up!" he called as he rushed to his guitar case to put away his prized guitar.

"Uh oh…late for an appointment?" Pascal asked him, his eyes narrowed suspiciously.

Jack shook his head, "Nah, I just want to be on time."

"Oh! I bet I know why!" Baby teased excitedly.

"He's finally coming home?" Flynn asked Jack as he too began putting away some equipment.

"Yeah." Jack smiled.

After nearly a month of not seeing Hiccup, Jack was happy to say that he would be home for two weeks. He had made so many plans for them and Hiccup even told Jack he had a surprise for him. He couldn't wait to see him and the wait was killing him!

"You should bring him by the set soon! Get his opinion." Pascal encouraged.

Jack snorted, "You guys just wanna meet him and tease us mercilessly."

"What kind of friends would we be if we didn't?" Baby laughed.

"Oh! Reminds me!" Jack said suddenly, "I talked to my friends Sandy and Snot and they're all for being in the movie."

"Awesome! The love scene will be a go then!" Flynn cheered, fist pumping the air.

"You're cool that my one friend doesn't speak?" Jack asked him.

"It's actually gonna fit real well with the idea I have in mind." Flynn nodded, "I'm gonna make it a movie about different kinds of people falling in love. Actually if you and Hiccup wanna have a little scene…"

"Nah, I don't think he'd go for it to be honest." Jack laughed, "Besides I wrote it for him so I kinda want it to be a big surprise when he sees it."

"Fair enough." Flynn shrugged.

"Better hurry lover boy!" Baby giggled excitedly, "And please bring him by! I have to meet him! I'm dying over here!"

"Fine! Just don't embarrass me." Jack warned her playfully as he shouldered his bag and lugged his guitar out of the building they'd rented, "You guys good?"

"Yep!" Pascal saluted, "See you tomorrow same time!"

"Got it!" Jack waved as he left, quickly rushing to his car and avoiding the splashes of melting muddy snow. He was all for winter, but when the snow began to turn to mush the color of his old hair, he tended to just get disgusted. Not to mention it ruined his shoes!

Avoiding the puddles he managed to get in the car without a hitch and check his phone. He'd gotten a text from Hiccup that said he'd already made it home and was just enjoying his family. But they'd planned to meet up at Gobbers in about half an hour. Jack wanted to be extra early so he could smother Hiccup the minute he saw him.

As he drove he turned on the radio and cringed as some of the worst music filled his ears. There were some pop songs that he could just do without. He switched channels and found his rock station and bobbed his head along to the music. Times like this he hated driving Punzie around cause all she wanted to hear was the music of her youth, meaning classic rock was a no-no.

He was all smiles however as he pulled up to Gobbers diner and found a great spot. He was just checking his phone when he heard a bump against his window that about scared him out of his wits. He dropped his phone and shrieked, looking up in surprise.

"Gotcha!" A familiar nasally voice said from behind the window. The head of shaggy brunette hair and forest green eyes bringing all of Jack's worries to a halt as he stared at the love of his life who was looking like he'd just played the best practical joke of all time; and Jack couldn't be more in love.

Jack narrowed his eyes playfully and got out, "I was gonna do that!" he whined.

Hiccup merely grabbed his face and kissed him fiercely before either could respond. Jack hadn't even closed his car door yet for crying out loud!

"Nice to see you too…" Jack whispered, his eyes still closed from the amazing feeling of Hiccup's mouth on his once again.

He opened them to assess his boyfriend. Not going to lie, college was actually quite good for him. Hiccup was growing just a little taller and from what Jack could see, stockier. Not by much, he was still his little twig, but he was definitely growing some muscle and his face was looking fuller. His hair was getting longer and shaggier, he'd even put a couple of braids on the side; of course that could have been Merida's doing.

He looked a lot more relaxed in brown cargo pants with a black and red Theta hoodie.

"Did you seriously get taller than me?" Jack teased.

"Nah, but I've been working out with some of the guys at times when I'm bored. It's actually kind of fun."

"You…are working out?" Jack gasped with a laugh, "Since when did Mr. Bookworm get so athletic?" he teased.

Hiccup shrugged, "A lot of my brothers like to bond that way so I thought I'd join them and it's actually been really good for my leg." He admitted.

Jack smiled, "You look amazing."

"Really?" Hiccup blushed and Jack knew then and there that it was his Hiccup looking back at him, even if he did look a little different.

"Yeah…really." Jack smiled.

"You look great too Jack…I mean you actually look a lot less stressed, especially from last time." Hiccup noted.

Jack nodded, "You gave pretty good advice. I do feel better."

"Good." Hiccup smiled, taking his hand, "Now can we please go in, I'm freezing!"

"I'm starving." Jack shrugged, "Cold never bothered me anyway."

"You took Punzie to see 'Frozen' didn't you?" Hiccup teased.

"And Merida."

"God bless." Hiccup laughed, "She wouldn't stop singing that song when I got home."

"Which one? Punzie's always singing about building a fucking snowman." Jack rolled his eyes.

And that's how it was as they walked into the diner, as though nothing had changed. Sitting in their usual booth, Gobber coming over to catch up with Hiccup and comment on how much more 'manly' he looked, and Jack and Hiccup catching up, their hands never leaving the other's.

Jack fiddled with the ring he gave Hiccup as he held his hand across the table. Hiccup on the other hand didn't seem to want to avert his gaze away from Jack's eyes. It's like he just wanted to swim in their deep blue vastness and never leave again. He always likened Jack's eyes to the calm, still waters of a crisp cool lake. They were so vivid he never understood how anyone could focus when talking to Jack. And they were so full of history, understanding, and complete and utter playfulness. Hiccup loved them.

More than anything however, he longed to just kiss Jack senseless and never come back to the real world. He missed so many things about being home, and as much as he loved being at school, he longed to have Jack with him. He supposed being away made being with Jack all the sweeter, but it wasn't easy.

As nachos were placed in front of them and they ordered, Jack grinned as Hiccup practically salivated knowing he was getting liver and onions again. Jack ordered the same and made sure he got a side of fries considering he really was starving.

Hiccup looked around as though lost in thought and Jack really wanted to just take him right there in the booth, but heaven forbid the common public witness two gay guys having sex in a diner over a plate of liver and onions. Okay, now he was pitching a tent in his trousers and his jeans were suddenly very uncomfortable. Damnit.

"So." Hiccup smiled, "Anything new?"

Jack scoffed, "Please, you might as well go first, Mr. Fraternity! And I know, I know!" Jack teased, "You can't tell me any secrets, but at least tell me how you're doing now."

Hiccup smiled, "Actually…I wanted to ask you something…"

"Oh?" Jack smiled back. He did like surprises, they kept him young!

"I was actually gonna wait to ask you but…man I just can't keep it in!" Hiccup laughed as he smoothed his hair back and suddenly felt his braids tangled in his hair and scowled, "Damnit! I forgot to take these out! Why didn't you say anything? I feel like a douche!"

"No! They look really good on you Hic!" Jack laughed, "Seriously."

"Merida did it." Hiccup grumbled as he felt them.

"She's getting better at her knots." Jack nodded.

Hiccup rolled his eyes, "I just got so distracted with everyone at home and Dad was all regaling me with actual stories of his pledging so, yeah…" Hiccup grumbled with a smile.

"Keep 'em in. I like them." Jack nodded, "You look like a warrior and now both of us have wacky hairstyles."

Hiccup laughed and sighed, "Fine. Only for you my love."

Jack batted his eyelashes dramatically, "Why good sir," He giggled, faking the worst Southern accent, "I do believe you are trying to woo me with your charm and good looks."

"Is it working?" Hiccup teased.

"When has it never worked?" Jack laughed.

"True." Hiccup nodded proudly to himself.

Jack rolled his eyes, "From what I recall, I'm the one who usually tops and makes you scream like a cat in heat."

Hiccup turned red suddenly and stuffed some nachos in his mouth. His boyfriend, ever the one with words.

"So what are you gonna ask me?" Jack asked, loving the red hue on Hiccup's cheeks. He prayed in his mind that it would be to find a place and have sex real soon cause the tightness in his jeans was extremely unbearable now.

Hiccup straightened, "Yes! I actually wanted to ask you if you wanted to join me next week for the Theta retreat."

"Next week?" Jack asked curiously, suddenly growing serious.

"Yeah. The Theta's have a celebration tradition of going to Cape Cod for a few days during Spring Break and we're allowed to have one guest join us if we want."

Jack stared at him, "Cape Cod? Three days? Next week?"

"I know it's really sudden but I really want to go and God if we could go together Jack…" Hiccup sighed excitedly, "Come on, we both have two weeks off and it's paid for by the Theta society alumni and we get our own room and-"

"They're…they're okay with…with us?" Jack asked nervously.

"Yeah! They know and they're perfectly fine! They even suggested I bring you. A lot of them are bringing their girlfriends." Hiccup smiled, "Jack it'll be so much fun! Like Spring Break last year but even better!"

Jack sat back a little, still floored by the sudden invitation. He closed his eyes to think about his schedule. He had actually had planned the entire two weeks out but…as he thought about it, what he planned wasn't anything special. And as nervous as he was to meet these guys that put Hiccup through hell for almost a month, he couldn't help but stare at how excited Hiccup was and he knew how much going on this trip would mean to him. If Jack said no, Hiccup would go anyways and by himself…leaving Jack alone again while Hiccup just simply enjoyed his brotherhood all the more without him. But if he went…?

"Okay." Jack said quickly before he could change his mind, "Let me make sure it's good with my crew and with my parents…"

"Really?" Hiccup gasped excitedly.

"Yeah." Jack smiled finally, "I think it'll be fun."

"Oh man Jack! I can't wait to introduce you to all of them! They're so much fun and we're gonna have the best time!"

Jack smiled as best he could, but couldn't deny he was worried. What if these guys hurt them? What if Hiccup chose them over him? What if Jack couldn't do it alone without Hiccup?

As his thoughts turned darker, he suddenly heard Hiccup calling his name, "Jack? Hey! Jack!"

Jack looked up quickly and noticed Hiccup staring at him with concern, "You okay?" Hiccup asked him.

"Yeah!" Jack smiled quickly, "Just…thinking. It's nothing." He shrugged.

Hiccup nodded but wasn't buying it. He may not have seen Jack in almost a month, but there were still some constant things that never changed about his boyfriend, and when his bright blue eyes turned a very dark ocean blue that meant a storm was brewing inside the boy's mind. And Hiccup always knew that when Jack had a storm inside, he had to be there for him and make sure to tread carefully.

….

Jack loved the fact that Max hadn't moved in yet! He also loved that his mom worked better hours and that Punzie was being watched at a friend's house. That meant that he and Hiccup could rekindle their love alone and without interruptions for at least five hours.

"You've gotten worse since I've seen you last." Jack pointed out to his boyfriend rather bluntly.

"No fair, you play Metal Gear half the time and I'm actually studying." Hiccup whined, "I thought you had my back."

"More like your backend." Jack snorted.

"Cover me…cover me! COVER ME!" Hiccup screeched very suddenly, only to be disappointed by his boyfriend's lack of help.

Hiccup threw the video game controller down in frustration as Jack laughed his head off. Hiccup glared at his boyfriend but couldn't stay mad for long; Jack was just too cute!

He was still such a kid at heart and he took so much lightly. Every little joke or prank and he was on the floor rolling for God's sake!

"Y-your…your face! Oh my God!" Jack guffawed, slapping his knee, "You looked like the zombie was seriously gonna kill you!"

Hiccup merely glared at him with a softened look, "How about I kill you instead." He teased darkly.

Jack held back another snort, tears in his eyes, "Like to see you try Braid Boy."

Hiccup turned red and then jumped on top of Jack, pinning him to the sofa, staring down at the white haired boy and sneering, "You forget, I've gone through weeks of hell in college. I'm a Viking now, bub."

"Ooh! I'm quaking in my shoes!" Jack teased playfully.

Hiccup leaned down and planted a kiss on Jack, suddenly feeling rather powerful being on top. How come Jack never told him it felt good on top? Oh yeah, he was always so used to being a bottom and being too nervous to try something different. Jack never teased him for it, but sometimes his head inflated and gave him more of an ego…well now it was Hiccup's turn!

"This is new…" Jack noted softly as they broke apart, staring at one another, the sound of zombies growling in the background.

"You okay with this?" Hiccup asked him nervously.

"You okay with this?" Jack asked in return.

Hiccup bit his lip and Jack was seeing hints of his little guy come back to him until the fierce look came back into his forest green eyes and held his gaze intently, "Can I try?"

Jack nodded, "Yeah."

Hiccup leaned down and did his best to get his confidence back, but had to admit that when you got used to being such a submissive guy for so long it was hard to be domineering. Sure he was a leader in his pledge class but this…?

He felt completely inept suddenly, like he couldn't even decide what to do next. He felt the pressure of being the one to seduce Jack and realized how much pressure that was on him.

Jack eased his suffering and smiled softly through the kiss, breaking away when they weren't really going anywhere and Hiccup was stiffening, "Don't think about it, just go with the flow." He instructed.

Hiccup blew a breath and nodded nervously.

"If you want we can switch." Jack suggested.

Hiccup merely shook his head, "Give me a second."

"Don't take too long." Jack teased, pinching his butt for good measure.

Hiccup squeaked and then smirked down at Jack.

"Motivation enough for ya?" Jack laughed.

Hiccup grinded into him to shut him up. It worked since Jack's eyes grew wide and he merely stared at Hiccup, dumbfounded.

Hiccup smiled, "Now that's what I call motivation." He said seductively as he leaned down, ready to finally take charge of his rather belligerent boyfriend.

That was until the door crashed open and Hiccup toppled off of Jack, who was staring down at his aching crotch with frustration and then looking over at Hiccup who had successfully turned a shade of red Jack couldn't even place a name for.

"Jack? You home?" Gwen called.

"Yeah!" Jack yelled, sounding disgruntled and willing his trousers to get less tight in five seconds or less.

Hiccup finally sat up awkwardly as Max and Gwen came into the room.

"Hiccup! You're back!" Gwen cried happily, rushing forward and holding out her arms. Hiccup felt stiff but smiled warmly as Jack's amazing mother pulled him into the sweetest hug. He always thought Elinor beat other mom's as far as hugs went but Gwen was a close second.

He finally relaxed enough to squeeze her back.

"Look at you!" she said proudly, "Mr. College Man. I swear you got taller."

"That's what Mom said." Hiccup laughed.

"We didn't interrupt something did we?" Max teased Jack, jabbing him in the shoulder playfully. Jack swatted his hand away and glared at the guy.

"Nah. Just playing video games and catching up." Hiccup said quickly, secretly loving how flustered Jack looked.

Max chuckled and Gwen merely rolled her eyes at him, "At least we don't have to worry about unwanted pregnancies." She sighed to herself.

Jack was officially the reddest one in the room as he screeched, "MOM!"

She shrugged, turning to head towards the kitchen "What? Just calling it like it is. And I know damn well you have condoms cause I put them in your dresser drawer for God's sake."

"That was YOU?!" Jack hollered, "I thought it was Max!"

Gwen scoffed as she made it to the kitchen.

Max shrugged at Jack innocently and Jack was ready to die of shame.

Hiccup on the other hand never got over that fact that Jack's mom was officially the coolest person on the planet.

"I wanna go hang out with Gwen." He told Jack jokingly as he walked towards the kitchen.

"You're coming right?" Tuff asked over the phone.

Hiccup sighed as he lay back down on his bed. He hadn't even unpacked he'd been so busy the past couple of days catching up with his family, Jack, and Astrid.

"I haven't heard back from Jack to make sure it's okay with his family and stuff." He told Tuff, "I'm seeing him tonight so probably I'll know then."

"So…if he can't make it…what are you going to do?" Tuff asked him.

"Not sure…I mean…I want to go but…"

"Jack's pretty important, right?" Tuff sneered.

Hiccup shrugged, "I guess so." He smiled confidently, "Besides, there'll be other times to go to Cape Cod with you guys."

Tuff made an incoherent sound over the phone but Hiccup guessed it was just one of his usual "I don't care" noises.

"How's your vacation going?" Hiccup asked him.

"Boring. My sister's annoying the crap out of me and our little cousins are all here being needy."

Hiccup laughed, "Hey, I have a five year old sister and triplet infant brothers. Don't begin to think I feel sorry for you."

"Good point." Tuff agreed.

"Speaking of, I need to babysit them; I'll call you later when I know Jack's answer." Hiccup said quickly as he heard his parents come out of their rooms.

"Good luck my brother. Nice knowing you." Tuff said dramatically.

Hiccup rolled his eyes, "You too."

They hung up and Hiccup waltzed out of his room to meet his parents who were dressed up for the evening. It was officially their anniversary and Hiccup was more than happy to watch the little ones while they enjoyed a fancy night out.

He had to admit, seeing his dad in a very classy black suit was actually kind of funny. His mom of course looked spectacular in a jet black evening cocktail dress he had never seen her wear in almost a lifetime. Of course she'd managed to really knock off the baby weight working almost full time with triplets, but he had to say, she looked like a queen tonight.

"Fergus is my hair alright?" she asked nervously as he held her black clutch and black heels.

"Aye love, you're a real beauty." He said adoringly, "Just like the first day I met you."

Hiccup almost gagged at how lovey dovey they were.

She pushed some of her graying dark hair behind her ear, the rest flowing like waves down her back gracefully as she put a hand on his chest lovingly looking into his eyes, "You always were a big lug." She teased.

"Okay, well, uh…" Hiccup interrupted, hoping they would actually go to dinner and not end up doing it on the steps as he watched; he wasn't in the mood for any more siblings, "So bed…bath and uhh…"

"Yes dear, just the usual tonight. Oh I'm glad you and Jack offered to watch the children. That boy is such a blessing." She said fondly.

Hiccup nodded. Jack had told him that Max and Gwen were going out tonight as well so both decided to convince the parents to work together seeing as Punzie and Merida would keep them plenty busy…but add triplets to the mix…

"Merida gets her bath before bed, the boys are all in their pajamas so all they need is to be fed and put to bed later." Elinor instructed, "Numbers are on the fridge and-"

"Got it." He smiled.

She held his face in her hands and kissed his cheek, "I am so happy you're home. I missed you."

"I missed you too Mom." He smiled at her, giving her a hug.

"Aye, it is good, son." Fergus said happily as he put a hand on Hiccup's shoulder, "But between you and me, I'm jealous of all the fun times you get to have now with your new brothers!"

Elinor rolled her eyes, "Fergus the Bear King. Please. More like Fergus the Teddy Bear." She snorted.

Hiccup held back his laughter as Fergus glared at her and then followed her down the stairs, pinching her butt along the way.

"Oh! Behave yourself!" Elinor scolded him.

"Have fun, son!" Fergus called up the stairs to Hiccup as he donned his black suit coat and helped Elinor with her black faux fur coat that she only ever wore on special occasions.

"Call is you need anything dear!" Elinor called softly as Fergus led her out and saluted Hiccup.

Hiccup sighed with relief as he heard the door close but then suddenly felt something collide with him. He looked down to see a head of fiery red curly hair and smiled at the mischievous girl.

"When is Punzie coming?" she cried excitedly.

"Soon. Now are you going to behave yourself?" he asked her firmly.

She groaned, "Yes!"

He ruffled her messy hair and smiled, "Okay, then how about if you're extra good…I'll make sure you get ice cream for dessert."

She jumped up and down excitedly cheering, "You're the best brother!"

He laughed as he hugged her, glad that some things never changed.

They both heard the doorbell and Toothless ran over to the door, slobbering excitedly for company. Meanwhile the triplets all began crying from the noise and Hiccup had a feeling that tonight he was gonna earn the fifty dollars from his parents.

Merida ran to open the door and Punzie hurried right in, tripping her brother who was also trying to get in around the dog and avoid colliding with the two hugging and squealing girls.

"Are you gonna help me or just stand there." Hiccup teased as he ran to the triplet's room and turned on their light.

He heard Jack rushing up to see what all the commotion was and his eyes widened as he scrunched his face, "Dang, Hubert's gotten louder!"

Hiccup immediately went to Hamish to pick him up so he'd at least calm down right away. He would never say it out loud but he and Hamish did have a pretty strong bond. Elinor had mentioned how he'd crawl to Hiccup's room everyday while he was gone looking for him. Once Hiccup was back, the other two merely gave him angry looks to say they were not pleased he was gone but Hamish was ready to be held by his big brother. Harris, however, adored Jack. Probably because Jack would blow raspberries into his belly and Harris would try to mimic him. Hubert was the ringleader though and always made sure his brothers were safe and in the end always caused the chaos.

"I got ya, big guy." Jack smiled as he picked up Hubert, leaving Harris to stare at him with devastation.

"Don't worry, I'll come to you too, dude." Jack laughed as he made eye contact with Harris whose bottom lip was trembling.

Hiccup beat him to it, but Harris merely stared after Jack as Hiccup gave him his pacifier. Harris spit it out and blew a raspberry angrily at Hiccup and Hamish.

"Well gee, nice to know you love your brother so much!" Hiccup laughed, "Here, I'll switch you Harris for Hubert."

"Woohoo!" Jack cheered as they switched awkwardly.

Hubert had calmed down now and Harris was still blowing raspberries and spraying Jack with spit until he finally blew one into his cheek.

Hamish was content it seemed to watch the chaotic scene and when both turned in the doorway; both girls were already pulling at their shirts begging to play.

Jack and Hiccup stared at one another and sighed; it was going to be a very long night.

….

"Hubert, slow down!" Hiccup laughed, "You're gonna choke big guy!"

"Please stop spitting Harris." Jack pleaded as macaroni and cheese coated his cheeks from Harris.

Hamish was probably the only kid at the table not causing an issue at the moment, considering both Punzie and Merida were playing with their food as well.

"I slaved all of ten minutes making this mac and cheese!" Jack complained to all of them.

Hiccup rolled his eyes and righted Hubert's juice for him and picked up Punzie's fork.

"Ice cream next, Hiccup!" Merida cheered happily, banging her fork on the table and getting Punzie to join in and unfortunately rubbing off on the triplets who started tapping the table with their forks and hands.

Jack rubbed his eyes and Hiccup felt his head pounding, "How does my mother do this every day? Dear God is she Thor or something?"

"I'm never having triplets." Jack noted.

Hiccup stared at him; eyes narrowed, and shook his head wondering if his boyfriend had lost his mind or something.

Toothless began walking around the table picking up scraps and licking the table and chairs for excess food the kids had dropped and Hiccup was too preoccupied to notice.

"I say we give them the ice cream, pop in Just Dance for Kids, and get these guys to sleep pronto!" Jack advised.

"That sounds like a very good idea." Hiccup nodded as he got up to get the ice cream prepared for all the cheering kids.

Hubert was reaching for scraps on the table, hoping to get them before Toothless did.

Jack came over and helped Hiccup, wiping his face off with a napkin.

Hiccup stared at how frazzled Jack looked and then smiled at him, "Thanks for helping me tonight."

Jack finally looked at him and smiled back, "Can't let you have all the fun now can I?"

Hiccup got back to dishing up the ice cream and grunted angrily when the spoon barely made a dent in the almost frozen solid dessert.

Jack laughed at him and then paused when Hiccup forced the spoon in too roughly, flicking it and knocking the whole tub into Jack's face, spoon and all.

It got deathly quiet as Jack held his nose and grunted while Hiccup stared at him, mouth agape and reached out to help him, "Oh my God…you're bleeding!"

"I am?" Jack said nasally and lifted his hand to see that he was indeed bleeding from his nose, "Holy shit…the ice cream seriously broke my nose!"

"Hang on!" Hiccup yelled frantically as the triplets started crying, Merida and Punzie were yelling about Jack being hurt and dessert being ruined while Jack groaned as he tried to stop the bleeding over the sink of dirty dishes.

Hiccup rushed back in, tripping over Toothless, who yelped and scrambled to hide on the couch while Hiccup got up only to fall again and realize his prosthetic came loose. He was now resorting to hopping over to Jack to hand him some gauze and a wet washcloth.

"Somebody…get me…my leg…" Hiccup panted.

Merida was busy laughing but Punzie was kind enough to pick up his leg, scrunching her face curiously at it and walk over to hand it to Hiccup.

"Thanks Punzie…at least somebody here has a heart!" he yelled at Merida.

"Are we still getting ice cream?" she asked from the table over the triplet's crying.

"NO!" he shouted angrily.

It was Merida's turn to start crying with the others.

"I'm sorry I got blood all over the ice cream." Jack apologized during bedtime.

While Hiccup put the triplet's to bed, Jack was designated to Merida and Punzie. He tucked them into Merida's bed promised to tell them a story before they fell asleep. He'd also been the one to give them a bath since Hiccup was still frazzled over the dessert incident and dealing with three rowdy boys and getting them to sleep.

By nearly an hour he'd figured out which one to rock to sleep first to get the others to follow suit. And by then, Jack was done with the girls' baths.

"It's okay big brother. I still love you." Punzie said sweetly as she kissed his now bruised up nose.

"It's okay Jack." Merida said as well, "You can get us ice cream another day."

Jack chuckled and tickled them, "That's all you care about is ice cream!" he teased.

"What story are you going to tell us tonight Jack?" Punzie asked, "The one about the Man in the Moon?"

"The Sandman?" Merida suggested.

Jack blew a breath and had to be honest he was very tired. But maybe if he told them a quicker one he could get out of there sooner.

"Okay…I'll start a story and then later on you two can finish it together." He told them.

"What?" Merida asked.

"I'll start the story off and then you two get to finish it someday." He smiled, "In other words, you two get to make up the ending."

"Oh! My teacher did this with us!" Punzie said excitedly.

"I like this!" Merida nodded happily, "Tell us!"

Jack thought for a moment and then started off very dramatically, waving his arms for an effect, "Once upon a time there were two little girls."

"Me and Merida!" Punzie said happily.

"Okay, those will be their names. And one day Merida starts picking on Punzie during a…oh…let's go with a karate class."

"Cool!" Merida cheered.

"So Punzie goes up to her rather dashing heartthrob of a brother for help."

Punzie giggled excitedly.

"So he suggests she turn into a ninja and take out the crazy little red headed girl."

"No way!" Merida laughed, shoving Jack playfully.

"Ah! But this is where it gets interesting." Jack winked, "You see Merida has this older brother who's beautiful and majestic and he decides to teach her sword fighting-"

"No! I wanna learn archery!" Merida squealed.

"Okay…archery. Anyways, the two girls have to compete at karate class but that's when…they saw each other…the two older brothers."

"It was love at first sight!" Punzie squealed happily.

"Sure." Jack nodded, happy with that, "So they saw one another and realized that they couldn't let their sisters fight because then one of them would have to be at a funeral on Saturday instead of going on a date. So they put a stop to the fight and decided to…"

"Kiss!" Punzie put in.

"Arm wrestle!" Merida jumped in as well.

Jack shrugged, "Well I guess that's up to you two to decide. Let me know when you finish that story."

"What? No fair!" Merida yelled.

"We can write it tomorrow Merida!" Punzie suggested, "We'll come up with stuff tonight."

"Okay…but there has to be a battle!" Merida told her firmly.

"Goodnight ladies, please go to sleep." Jack pleaded as he left them to their arguing and pondering for the story.

He closed the door and sighed with relief.

He heard somebody clear their throat and turned to smile sheepishly at Hiccup who was leaning against the wall, arms crossed and one eyebrow raised as he stared at Jack, "So I'm majestic and you're dashing?" Hiccup teased.

"Give me a break, my nose is broken!" Jack whined.

"It's not broken you wuss." Hiccup laughed as he came over to wrap his arms around Jack, "Cause if it was, I wouldn't be able to do this."

Jack felt lighter than air as Hiccup's lips brushed against his and sure he had a bruise on his face but who cared?

Jack leaned his head to the side to give Hiccup better access, all the while wrapping his arms tighter around the boy. Hiccup pushed Jack against the wall softly as his tongue brushed across Jack's bottom lip. Jack moaned, letting their tongues meet halfway.

"You've gotten better." Jack noted, giving Hiccup his million dollar smile that always made him melt like a witch in a swimming pool.

"Have I?" Hiccup smirked before finally looking at Jack seriously, "So…I've been meaning to ask…can you come to the Theta retreat with me?"

Jack frowned suddenly and thought about it, "I did ask my mom and she said it's cool, but…"

Hiccup swallowed.

"I haven't checked with my filming crew yet to see where we are. I'm seeing them tomorrow and I can ask then."

"Okay." Hiccup smiled, "You…you do want to come right?"

Jack stared at him, "Of course I do! How could I not?"

"It's just…you seem hesitant." Hiccup noted.

Jack relaxed slightly and shrugged, "I guess it's just me being self-conscious or something stupid. I mean I am seeing a counselor." He chuckled.

Hiccup smiled softly, "If you don't want to do it…then I'll stay here."

Jack's eyes widened suddenly, "Hiccup…"

"Cause I don't want to miss out on spending time with you."

"You really want to go to this, Hiccup. I know you do." Jack told him firmly, taking his hands, "Tell you what…come with me tomorrow and meet my friends…we can ask them then and…and then afterwards we can plan for the trip."

Hiccup smiled, "You mean it?"

"Yeah." Jack nodded, "I know how much this brotherhood thing means to you and…maybe it'll be good to meet some of them and be a part of that with you."

Hiccup smiled happily.

"I'd like to try." Jack added, "And hey…if you meet my friends and see what I'm doing…it'll feel like you're just as much a part of it as I am."

"I'd really like that Jack." Hiccup smiled

Jack leaned in and put his forehead against Hiccup's and looked deeply into his eyes, "I miss you so much when you're gone."

"I know…me too." Hiccup admitted.

"Having you home it just…I don't know whether to feel like a boy on his first date or a boy having sex for the first time."

Hiccup rolled his eyes, "You have a way with words, my dear."

Jack smirked, "Makes you frisky, that's for sure."

Hiccup smiled, "We got interrupted the other day…what do you say we continue where we left off?"

"Kids are in bed right?" Jack asked quietly.

"Mhm." Hiccup said, kissing along Jack's neck while Jack toyed with Hiccup's pants.

"Blood's cleaned up?"

"Yep." Hiccup sighed, breathing along Jack's jawline, giving him goose bumps.

"Dishes done?"

"Who cares?" Hiccup shrugged.

"God we sound like your parents…" Jack suddenly noted.

"I will pay you fifty dollars to never say that again." Hiccup told him as he dragged him into his room to finish where they left off.
