Dawn of a new day. I know that because my first instinct upon waking up is to look around the mental map. That, and a quick check shows that I have 300 extra Bio Energy all of a sudden, putting me at 560. I must've slept through the whole of yesterday and through the night! I didn't think I was that tired…

Sitting up, I yawned, stretched, scratched an itch, went outside to relieve myself, promptly got annoyed at forgetting to lower the Creep wall again, lowered it, then raised it back up again when this prompted some Creepers out of the trees. Crap! I really need to pee!

More than a little annoyed, I ordered my Overlord to thin out the Creepers a bit. I was more than a little shocked, when my idea from last night actually came to fruition. The Overlord used it's multiple tendrils like so many golf clubs, and started smacking them around, often getting them to explode! The Overlord did suffer a little damage, but it won, and healed right back up.

So it was with a touch of surprise, happiness, and a lot of relief, that I had the Creep Wall lowered and ran over to my usual spot and relieved my bladder with a sigh. I'd feel embarrassed, but it's not like anyone can see me at the moment. Man, how embarrassing would it be if someone were reading about this right now? I chuckled and pushed away the inane thought.

After a bit of Creep for breakfast, I turned back to the Hatchery. This prompted me to remember my actions yesterday, particularly yelling out loud some of my orders and such. Shaking my head, and deciding to put it out of mind, I turned my attention towards planning. With 560 Bio Energy to play with, I have a bit more leeway now than I did before. Should I try and complete a ring of Creep Colonies around the Hatchery, or should I get a Spawning Pool?

Now that I think of it, I was hoping to get four Hatcheries situated in the center of the Hive. If I tried to make a ring of Creep colonies now, I probably would mess it up somehow. The ring might appear lopsided or something. Now, I'm not OCD, but I am a bit of a perfectionist, and seeing an off center ring around four Hatcheries would annoy the heck out of me.

Spawning Pool it is! Ordering up a new Drone, as soon as it finished, I ordered it to grow a Spawning Pool near the Evolution Chamber. That's 250 Bio Energy gone, leaving me with 310 left. Figuring it couldn't hurt, I popped out two more Drones, and after spending more time than I'd care to admit to make sure I got the positioning just right, I ordered the two to morph into two more Creep Colonies, leaving a space I'm hoping is large enough for an Ultralisk to get through. With two Drones costing me 100 and the two Creep Colonies 150, I've now only got 60 Bio Energy left.

Eh, might as well go for broke. I ordered another Drone up. Only 10 Bio energy left. Hope that doesn't become a problem. I toyed with the idea of using my Spawn hatchery ability to pull up three new Hatcheries. I'm a bit worried at the length of time it'll take for them to finish. It's roughly mid morning now, so 12 hours would mean the Hatcheries wouldn't finish until a little after nightfall. That leaves them open to attack for an hour or two. I don't like the idea of that so much, but I also don't like the idea of coddling my Zerg either. Nothing risked, nothing gained after all.

Before I could change my mind, I called up the first Hatchery, feeling the energy rush out and leaving me slightly fatigued mentally, though not in the same way as yesterday. I'm so glad my psi energy regenerates so quickly. Thanks to that, within roughly four minutes, I now have three new Hatcheries growing in a square, with my current Hatchery forming a single corner.

At that point, I wondered if I shouldn't just start spamming down Hatcheries everywhere? The thought is appealing, but I decide to hold off on that until tomorrow. That way I can have a bunch growing and have them done before night fall. I'm a little worried though. Currently I only have a set number of monsters showing up at night to come after my Hive. Considering how spawning works in Minecraft, in that they spawn within a certain radius around the player, if I add more buildings, wouldn't that increase the radius around me for monsters to spawn in? Until I can start generating light to deny monsters areas to spawn in, I think I'd rather hold off on having to deal with even more monsters showing up. No risk, no gain, but too much risk, and I risk losing everything. Bad enough I nearly lost the Evolution Chamber before.

With nothing left to do regarding expanding the Hive, I cast about for something to do. I think I'm almost starting to see the appeal in exercise. Not that it would do me any good what with my regeneration keeping my muscles in peak condition (I hope), but at least it would kill time. With nothing else to do, I started up a light jog around the Hive. Only a few minutes into this, I became aware that I'm not even tiring out at all! In fact, I could go even faster than this! Carefully, and with slowly growing elation, I increased my speed to a full out sprint. I don't even feel winded! No pain either! This is fun!

I used to love running when I was younger. I had a thing for speed and moving fast. I still do, considering I'd ride roller coasters all day if I could. As I grew older though, I couldn't run nearly as fast, I grew tired quicker, and eventually, exercise in any form would start to hurt more and more, culminating in me not being able to run at all thanks to chronic shin splints. Now though, I'm pain free. I'm faster than before! I could keep this speed up all day without getting tired! This is AWESOME!

I started laughing out loud with how free I felt, pushing myself to go even faster. I realized with a start that I didn't even have to bother breathing to keep my legs pumping. That's right, I don't need to breathe anymore! Exhilarated, I started singing on the top of my lungs while keeping up a sprint, just because I could. I started singing 'We Will Rock You'. I didn't remember all the words, but I didn't care. I just hummed where I forgot the words and laughed.

It was about midday when I stopped. I feel hot from the sun, but I haven't even broken a sweat! A brief worry of sunstroke niggled at me, before I dismissed it with one word, regeneration! Still, I went over to the river, and drank some cool refreshing water for a while. A swim sounds nice right about now. My clothes are a bit dirty too. I might not sweat, but it has been a couple days now, and these are my only clothes.

Stripping off and stepping into the water, I shivered a little before I acclimated. All the while, I hummed a few songs I like. Unfortunately I don't remember the words for too many songs, so I ended up just playing them in my head while I scrubbed at my clothes.

Shading my eyes from the sun, I got a brilliant idea, and ordered the Overlord to move between me and it. Ahh! Instant shade! I laid out my clothes to dry on the Creep. I kept watch for a moment to make sure the Creep wouldn't eat them. After a few minutes, I felt satisfied it wouldn't, then scrubbed myself for a bit, then laid back to relax in the water, laying in the shallows so I wouldn't drift downstream to my bathroom spot. I took a nap like this, ordering the Overlord to wake me if it got near sundown before I woke up, or any monsters came nearby. I didn't really need to sleep, but I felt so relaxed and elated, that I couldn't help myself. Everything just feels awesome.

Just as I ordered, the Overlord woke me just before sundown. I gathered up my clothes and went back into the Hatchery to dry off. The three other Hatcheries haven't finished yet, but they should soon. Their cocoons have gotten quite large. I sat down and wished I had a towel so I could dry off. I don't want to wear dry clothes while I'm wet. That would be uncomfortable. Thinking about it for a moment, I settled for my only option. Grabbing my shirt, I used it as a towel, then set it aside to dry again and got dressed. Now I'm shirtless, but it's better than nothing. Laying down, I felt, to my surprise, that skin to skin contact with the Hatchery actually felt better. A moment later, I stripped out of my pants and dropped them next to the shirt as well. Clothes are overrated anyway. Still, I kept my underwear on. I may be alone, but I'm no exhibitionist, and I'm not really alone am I? All these Zerg are here, and like I said, I'm no exhibitionist.

Snuggling down into my surprisingly soft and warm hollow, my eyes drifted closed, and for lack of anything else to do despite how often I've slept today already, I fell asleep.
