Chapter 28: Growing Up
"Oh geez," Ryoma groaned.
Sakuno looked up from her book. "What's wrong?"
Ryoma pointed his thumb behind him. Sakuno looked over the couch and couldn't help but giggle. Tomoka had just gotten Aoi a pretend beauty kit. "Why did I even let her have it?" Ryoma asked watching with a mixture of feelings.
Aoi was pretending to spray perfume on herself and applying lip stick on her lips while looking at a mirror. Sakuno smiled, "I think it's cute."
"She's too young to be wearing makeup or for the matter to even start thinking about it. Kids these days are starting to date at like ten…it's crazy."
Sakuno rolled her eyes, "Well that also depends on how that child is brought up."
Ryoma ran his fingers through his hair and let out a sigh, "I suppose."
"And besides," Sakuno continued, "the only boys in Aoi's life are you and Ryosuke."
"She's about to start school." Ryoma said, "She's going to be introduced to other boys."
Sakuno laughed, "I really doubt that boys that young are going to be trying to hit on our daughter love. For that matter I think they're going to think that either the boys or girls are gross."
"I don't want to deal with that."
Sakuno smiled, "Look at you. You're already getting protective over our daughter."
"Hn, I could say the same about you with our son."
Sakuno rolled her eyes. "I'm trying to show him to have manners."
"Another things girls go crazy over."
"A gentleman, that's the type of man I want Ryosuke to be." Sakuno said.
Ryoma wrapped his arm around Sakuno. "In no time watch, he's going to be that person."
Sakuno nodded her head. "It's making me said, they're getting so big."
Ryoma chuckled and kissed his wife's forehead. "We can always making some more remember?"
Sakuno smacked Ryoma and kissed his cheek. "I'll keep that offer in consideration."
Ryoma chuckled and kissed his wife. "I love you Sakuno Echizen."
Sakuno smiled and touched Ryoma's cheek. "And I love you Ryoma Echizen."
