Another new day. How long has it been? Eight since I showed up? Nine? I'm pretty sure it's been at least a week. I open up a window on my wall of light and draw up a calendar. I may not know what day it is, so I'll just have to make it up. I do know it was May on Earth before I showed up here. Do seasons even matter here on Minecraftia? Does time pass normally here as compared to Earth? I suppose it doesn't matter. I write up a 31 day calendar for May, and decide that today feels like a Tuesday. So that's what it is. Tuesday the 14th of May in the year 2014. I've no idea if that's correct or not, and I don't care!

Nodding to myself, I checked my Bio Energy count. 400? Interesting. From 0 to 400 in a 24 hour period. Much better compared to the 300 something jump in Bio Energy I was getting before. I wonder if I'll get even more if I put down even more Creep Colonies? Unfortunately, with only 400 available, I can only afford 3 of them. I place them in the spots within the ring, leaving me with 25 Bio Energy. That finished, what should I do today?

Turning my attention to the Hatcheries, I make a split decision to go climbing. Taking off at top speed towards the closest Hatchery, I ran up the side as high as I could go, which wasn't very high since I've no clue how to wall run, and gripped a crevice in the armor of the Hatchery and pulled myself up. I'm fairly certain I've gone nuts, since I don't like heights at all, but I figure a good challenge will pass the time nicely.

It takes quite a while, and I have to double back a few times before I finally reach a spot where the Hatchery levels off and I can clamber the rest of the way up to the top. Standing at the top, I finally look down and felt a wave of vertigo hit me. I sat down carefully and took a deep breath to calm my nerves. I sat up there for a while, feeling accomplished, feeling the wind through my hair, and basking in the shade of my Overlord. About midday, I grew bored and decided to get down. Unfortunately climbing down something is a lot harder than climbing up.

Casting about for some inspiration, I spy the Overlord out of the corner of my eye and hit on an idea. Calling it down to float nearby, I grab one of its tendrils and hold on tight. I then order it to float down and drop me off on the ground. Technically I'm cheating since Overlords shouldn't be able to carry passengers until they're upgraded with those sac things, but I don't think clinging to the outside of them counts.

As soon as I'm low enough to step off, I get an even crazier idea. Instead of getting off, I order the Overlord up, holding on to the hanging tendril for dear life. The Overlord goes up to its usual altitude, but from up here it seems much higher. My heart is pounding like crazy, but I also can't help grinning from being so high up. So long as I don't fall I should be ok.

The next thing I know, two of the Overlord's tendrils press against me, and I feel pinned between them. I think it's holding me to keep me from falling. Staring up into the eyes of the Overlord in question, it sends a burst of assurance, as if to let me know it won't let me fall.

Swallowing, I close my eyes and loosen my grip, consciously deciding to trust the Overlord to not drop me. I reflexively tightened my hold back again when the tendrils lifted me up a bit, then I felt another one slide beneath my feet, so I could feel like I'm standing. I'm now being held from the chest down by the Overlord rather tightly. It's not constricting, but I definitely feel very secure. Carefully, I let go and let my arms dangle in the niches left by the Overlord as it holds me. My heartbeat starts to slow down, only to speed back up as I look around in excitement. Is this what it's like to be in a hot air balloon? This is really cool!

Grinning, I tell the Overlord to go even higher. The air is a tad chilly up here. I still feel comfortable though, considering I could put up with temperatures way below freezing. I leaned over and look down. The Hive cluster looks a lot smaller from up here. This is even higher than the highest point I usually move my mental sight up to see the entirety of the Hive! Grinning, and feeling slightly childish, I hocked up a loogie and spit over the side. I've always wanted to do that if I ever got the chance, screw propriety!

Grinning, I decide I want to get more comfortable. How to do that though? I get the idea for the Overlord to thread its tendrils together like a human can do with their hands. With the order given, it does just that, and I grab hold of the tendril closest to me automatically, as the Overlord rearranges itself into a cup of sorts with its tendrils. I worry for a moment if it won't get tired carrying me like this. Another burst of assurance from the overlord relaxes me, and I lay down. It kinda feels like laying in a hammock, only the ropes are huge.

Almost as if responding to my thoughts, the Overlord draws me closer and starts swaying its tendrils back and forth. Hey... No fair! Stop acting… like… a hammock… and being… yawn… all… comfy… Zzzzz…
