A/N: In one of the reviews, someone mentioned they wanted to see something. And I don't want to spoil the chapter, but if you made this particular request…I hope I was able to meet what you were looking for. Enjoy!

He was in...well trouble would explain this the best.

Carter laughed sheepishly while Anubis snickered in the background behind Horus. Said man stood in the kitchen doorway clutching onto Carter's birth control.

The birth control Carter had forgotten to hide this morning after getting ready for the day. He couldn't claim they were his sister's as it had his name conveniently all over it.

Shit.

This 'I-Can-Have-Babies' explanation came much earlier than Carter would've preferred it to be.

"I can explain!" he rushed out, drying his hands from the water and suds. So much for getting the dishes out of the way.

"There nothing to explain," sniggered Anubis, tilting his head as if imagining what Carter would look like pregnant. "We got the message loud and clear." He paused and gave the pills a look over again. "Well as loud as pills can be. When were you going to te-"

"Anubis, shut it," growled Horus, shoving his cousin's face out of the way. Anubis huffed, but allowed for him to continue. "My wife, my interrogation."

"Not married yet," mumbled Anubis and Carter, who avoided Horus' gaze. For a while now, Horus has been calling Carter 'wife' now, and they always followed up with 'not married yet'. Horus would then wave them off and make another joke.

"Carter, I want you to be honest with me. You owe me that much."

"Owe you?" questioned Carter, hands now propped on his hips. "You're the one taking things that aren't yours."

Horus glared. "Don't turn this around on me. Carter, this?" He waved the pills around. "This is very serious. We need to talk about it."

Carter bit his lip, but nodded. Horus was right. This was their future together, and they promised no secrets. "I didn't expect to have this conversation so soon." Quietly, he grabbed on to Horus' free hand. "Anubis, stay here and finish washing the dishes."

"...okay."

Awhile back, Carter never thought he would ever be able to tell an assassin what to do. Not that the power ever went to his head, but it felt good that at serious times, Anubis would do as asked from him. It made him feel accepted as Horus' fiancé.

Carter led Horus to the living room area of the penthouse and directed him to the couch and had the businessman sit down. He then chose to claim the seat across from Horus, the pills sitting on the coffee table between them.

It was quiet and all that could be heard was Anubis washing dishes.

However, Horus never did well with silent moments…

"When were you going to tell me?"

"When the topic of kids came up? When the moment came forward?" Carter shrugged. "I don't know. When's the best time to tell your fiancé that you're able to have children even though you're a guy?"

Horus reclined, propping his chin on his hand, eyes on Carter. "Do you remember our first date?"

Surprised at the question, it took him a little longer than usual to answer. "Y-yes. You wouldn't stop holding my hand."

"A man needs no reason to hold his wife's hand."

"Not married yet."

Horus rolled his eyes. "Not the point here."

"What is the point here?"

"There was that kid who tripped by our table? You picked him up and made friends. You remember?"

Carter nodded with a smile. "He was cute, but what's the point?"

"Carter, I loved seeing you with that kid. I want to see you with our kid. Our children. A perfect mix between us." Horus kneeled before Carter, caressing his cheek. "I had resigned myself to adoption, or a surrogate, and we'd love our brood just as much as any child we'd have together, because they'd still be ours. Bu-"

Carter placed a finger over Horus' mouth. "Horus?"

He could only raise an eyebrow in response.

"Would you shut up?" Carter chuckled. "I need to say my part too, let me at least admit it. I can have children. I can carry our children to term without surrogacy. I would be honored to have your children. I want to hear the pitter-patter of our little ones' feet echoing down the halls, followed by their giggles."

Horus smiled brilliantly.

Anubis gagged from the kitchen. The wonders of having open areas, no privacy. Not that Carter was trying for privacy. Anubis would've found out anyways, the sneak.

From the kitchen, Anubis made a request. "All I ask is that you wait before bringing more of him in the world. Or at least until my Father warms up to him more."

"Fuck no," rejected Horus, reaching for something to throw at the idiot. Carter smoothly slipped the vase out of Horus' hands. "If we did that, we'll never have kids!"

Anubis shrugged, wiping off a plate.

Carter laughed, pulling Horus' pouting face closer to his with gentle hands. "Don't listen to him. It'll happen when it happens. You know he'll spoil them rotten." He pecked Horus' lips. "Now explain to me why your uncle hates you."

"You mean you haven't told Carter yet?" Asked Anubis.

Horus shook his head. "Slipped my mind. Not much to say either."

The killer sputtered in disbelief. He couldn't believe his ears! "Horus, you shot him!"

"It was an accident!"

"With his own gun!"

"He shouldn't have left it laying around for children to reach!"

Carter listened with wide eyes and a gaping mouth.

"Wait. You shot your uncle?" Interrupted Carter. "With his own gun?"

Horus sheepishly nodded.

"How old were you?"

"Five."

"Well, I hope that taught him a lesson not to leave his gun laying around for children to reach." This time it was Anubis who gaped.

"I can't believe I'm hearing this."

"I can," smiled Horus, giving Carter a kiss. "My wife supports me."

"Not married yet," stressed Anubis, but this time Carter stayed silent.

"I will always support my husband."

Anubis pouted, literally pouted. "Not you too!"

If it weren't for the fact that Horus claimed the strength and dangerousness of his cousin, Carter wouldn't…couldn't believe Anubis was capable of killing. Especially when he pouts like he is now. You really just want to pull him into a hug and cuddle him.

"Shush. The wedding is soon enough anyways."

Horus pulled Carter up and took the seat instead and had Carter sit in his lap.

"That reminds me, my mother wants to meet you."

"Your mother?" So far Carter has only met Anubis in person, and had a quick conversation with Set, his uncle, and Osiris, his father. The two older men had conference called Horus' home phone once and Carter had picked it up. He learned his lesson real quick after that.

"Yeah. She doesn't find it fair that everyone else has met you already."

"But I only spoke to-"

Anubis snorted. "Auntie Isis could care less about that."

"Alright then. I guess we'll have to meet eventually."

Horus kissed Carter's cheek. "She'll love you."

"Maybe," added Anubis.

Horus shot him a glare. "Do you have any uses besides being annoying?"

"You shouldn't lie to him. Auntie Isis is," he paused, looking for the word. "Fierce. She's so very fierce."

Carter pouted. "Horus?"

The older man turned to Carter and kissed the pout away. "Don't worry wife-"

"Not married yet!"

"-we'll be at her favorite restaurant. She'll be on her best behavior, because she knows how important you are to me."

"And?" Fished Anubis, knowing there's more.

"And I promised her that I'm buying."

A/N: Okay. So the next chapter will probably incorporate Carter meeting the Mother-in-Law. Dun-dun-dunnnnnn. If anyone else has a suggestion that they want to see pop up, let me know. I'll see if I can wiggle it in.
