Jester; Hello everyone Jester here with Smiles and like we said in our other fics we have finally gotten more ideas. Meaning we can finish our open fanfics.

Smiles; Scream… for …ME!
Tatis just couldn't believe it he was caught imprisoned like an animal. He was stripped of all his gear and most of his clothes. The Surians and Marians now held Tatis in an interrogation room. In nothing but his underwear and with his hands cuffed behind his back Tatis sat in silence. Little did Tatis know the queen's, princesses, two trusted advisers, and royal commander were watching him. Commander Fige still could not believe that some one so young was working for Owl Man. Nor could anyone else the two advisers had just finished a background check on the young man. Passing the data pad to their queens Fige watched and waited.
The Queen of Sura passed the pad to Fige. As Fige went over the data he couldn't believe what he read. Nodding Fige walked out of the room and took two of his most trusted officers with him. Now inside the interrogation room Tatis remain as still as ever eyes closed and breathing peacefully. Fige scratched the signature white hair of the Surian and Marian species. Fige, "Well this is something Tatis no last name. Age nineteen no know date of birth says here you killed a Jedi. Well I wouldn't expect anything less for a bounty hunter… but I never expected that from someone as young as you"?
Tatis chuckled finally opening his green colored eyes to say, "I don't need you to understand why I killed that Jedi. All you need to know is that he deserved it. Oh and a little advice don't cuff people with their hands behind their backs". With that Tatis hands were on the table between him and Fige cuffs to one side. Tatis continued to say, "Seeing as I'm wanted your going to turn me over… well there goes my life". Sighing Tatis leaned back in his chair as Fige watched him almost accept this turn of events. Fige, "So that's it no attempt to get away"? Tatis, "What's the point Owl will have me killed to make sure his secrets don't get out. And even if I get away your whole planet is a desert. Sure I grew up on one but your planet is something compared to my old home".
Fige notice the change in the young man's tone as he remembered his old home. To Fige Tatis looked as if he was missing something. Fige, "Well to let you know we've been trying to contact Owl the queen's wished to thank him for sending you. And no will not hand you over to the Republic they as just as or almost as corrupt as the Sith. For now you will remain within the palace. Your equipment will stay in holding and you will stay in the care of the princess". Tatis raised and eyebrow to say, "Why do the queen's care you could just write me off and be done why keep me around"?
Fige turned to Tatis with a chuckle to say, "Because when you spoke I heard the voice of not just a warrior but a leader. The queen's heard the strength of you words and they feel the same. We will continue to try and get in touch with Owl but like I said you will be left in the care of the Marian princess. The very princess you saved… she wishes to know more about you". With that Tatis was escorted to a new room and give new clothes to wear. After his change of clothes Tatis was lead back into the palace where the two queen's and all three princess sat in a small tearoom.
Waving off the guards Tatis took a set and was handed a cup of tea by a servant. Looking around Tatis thanked the servant as he took a sip of the warm tea. The Mara queen turned to Tatis saying, "I can tell that you wish to know what my intentions are by keeping you inside the palace. But let me tell you young hunter the galaxies over have felt the crush of war numerous times or at least once. You battle and won against someone who clearly outmatched you I wish to know how you did so". Tatis smiled exhaling as he looked into his cup, "The bounty on my head still says I helped a smuggler escape but most wouldn't know why I killed that Jedi. I killed that Jedi because he killed the closet thing I had to a father.
"I was left orphaned by my mother never did know who my father was. But the old priest on Flernz showed me how to live and I wanted to keep that. But that Jedi took that from me… it felt as if the universe only wanted me to be alone so I used my anger to challenge the arrogant Jedi. And he lost due to that arrogance. I took his light saber and that's how his allies knew I killed him. Some would say if I had just stood out of the way I wouldn't have had my life turned. But those Republic soldiers followed an arrogant Jedi and a corrupt commanding officer. That's why they say the whole city fought back because the soldiers didn't give anyone a choice but to fight.
"But I wouldn't change anything I read tons of old stories of how great warriors are born from hardship. I lost my last piece of family but I wouldn't break. Owl saw to teach me that hard lesson of never breaking. But I doesn't mean I don't find peace in knowing that one day I will met my end". Both queen's looked at one another and simply nodded for the young man sitting before them truly held strong. Queen of Mara, "Daughter show young Tatis to his room". With that the day was slowly winding down and both queen's were setting in the control room. Their scouts had finally found Owl Man's ship and established a link to his comm's.
Owl Man was surprised as the two queen's stood before him on his monitors. Owl Man, "I can assume that you're going to try negotiating with me on the return of my partner"? Queen of Sura, "No Owl my cousin and I wish to tell you thanks for sending us the young hunter to aid us. He showed us the strong feelings the old hold after so many years and that change will take time". Owl hummed in his throat accepting the complement to say, "So I take it you will be sending him back to me"? The queen of Mara answered saying, "Not entirely for Owl we wish to offer you a deal. Your young partner has infatuated my daughter.
"So in exchange for overlooking your entry into our political affairs and pay you a sizable reward… if you leave without your partner". Owl couldn't believe what he heard not only did Tatis do something in the process of getting caught he was being used as a bargaining chip. Owl, "And what makes you think that my young partner would trust you". Commander Fige entered the conversation saying, "We know who he is Owl and he's told us of most of his past. He seems to want a place to just enjoy life but he's using the path of hunters to find it. And you of all people know that in your line of work that you'd sooner die with a knife in your back then at peace".
Owl, "So your daughter is that peace you offer to him… are you sure he will want to stay? That boy has had a taste of this life by fighting in your political struggle. Do you believe that for a second someone with the past he has can just walk freely in your world? Your own people will question you and then the Republic will send people after him… do you really believe that he will find peace being hidden from what is out in the galaxies"? Commander Fige and the queen's were silent they too know that some day people would question why a wanted man would be a suitor for their princess. With the transmissions end both sides wondered now how the young man would react to the turn of events.
Standing shirtless by the window of the guest room he was staying in Tatis looked out at the peace of the Marian night. The gentle breeze brushing his hair and showing him more of the beauty of the dreamy night. Tapping his finger twice on the stone window Tatis went to lie down enjoying the nice sheets of the Marian palace. As sleep too him Tatis wondered if he could make a home like this one day for himself. Even he was questioning his future if the two queens refused to release him into Owl Man's custody.
The next morning Tatis sat down to enjoy a traditional Marian breakfast. Tatis finally got his answer to how the people of the planet ate their mouths did exist. It's just that their skin blended and concealed their mouths so well that most wouldn't have noticed. Tatis didn't press the question anymore and accepted it as another result of the ever-changing beings of the galaxies. As told the other day the princess of Mara was Tatis escort around the palace. The first place Tatis ventured to was the grand family library. Taking two stacks of books Tatis sat to read the books.
The Marian princess was surprised at his skills in reading her native language. Marian princess, "Tatis you seem well versed in languages that are not your own. Why do you still wish to be a bounty hunter"? Tatis turned his head to the princess sitting beside him. To the princess Tatis gentle green eyes reminded her of the lust and beauty of a green garden. Tatis, "I read so that I can see that other see from one point of view to another mostly. I like the thrill of adventure and that enough for some but one day I will come to a place I find truly worth wild". The princess eyed the strong young man her ideas of him growing the more they talked. And the more they talked the more she felt that she could have a future with this man.
The princess looked at Tatis stack of book to say, "How do you feel about the opposite sex? Most men have an idea for their future but you seem convinced of something else". Tatis, "Yeah I just can't say if I can be a father or a husband for the most part. I've felt the pain of losing my family twice I just don't want to feel that crushing weight again. Sorry look at me going on about pain when you almost lost your life just the other day. Well I've read enough for the day. How about a walk by the gardens"? With Tatis and the princess walking through the gardens they didn't know that the two queen's were watching them. Marian queen, "Owl specks the truth he doesn't know himself if he wants to settle down one day or fight the endless battle that the galaxies might hold.
"But what are you thoughts my dear cousin"? The Surian queen was looking at the young man from through the hologram as he gentle touched the flowers by the pond. Surian queen, "He needs a shoulder one that will keep from fall down a path that he would lose himself to. But I can see that Try'a is not forcing him she's thinking like a leader". The queen of Mara smiled at her cousin for complementing her daughter's actions. But even the Marian queen was wondering what was going through both Tatis and her daughter's mind.
Tatis walking along side the Marian princess finishing their walk around the grounds and went to eat dinner. Tatis had his mind on one thing when would he be allowed to leave? He knew that Owl would have at least bargained to have him silenced. But what was taking his teacher so long. As Tatis lied in his bed enjoying the gentle cool breeze a gentle knock came to the door. Opening it he found the Marian princess on the other side. For Tatis he was use to talking to girls but being older he knew the sexual influence that could affect him. Princess, "May we talk"? Tatis simply nodded and allowing the princess entry, both took a seat at the room's small table.
Tatis, "Princess its pretty late why are you up"? The Marian princess was sitting by Tatis gently touching his hand she looked into his eye to ask, "Will you stay"? Tatis, "What do you mean…has Owl offered to take me back"? The princess merely shook her head to add, "No Owl didn't make us an offer we made him one. It was an offer for us…for me to be with you". The princess gently touched Tatis face and leaned into an embrace. Tatis, "Princess I… I'm just not that man… I just a guy who's battled death for most of his life". The princess looked into Tatis eyes to tighten her embrace. Princess, "Tatis I know it's hard you don't want to feel that pain again but wouldn't it be best to have someone to talk to".
The pair looked into each other's eyes to Tatis he saw a noble class young woman that he could never hope to be with. But to the Marian princess she saw a man that knew pain and knew what it meant to inspire. She saw a man that would be great it he had someone to standby him. Tatis couldn't take it and simply turned his head knowing that she and he could never be an item. This didn't affect her getting up she planted a kiss on Tatis cheek to say, "Not matter what you chose I'll still hold you in my heart…my hunter". With that the princess left Tatis to his thoughts with weren't much. Tatis stood to walk around the palace grounds again. Finding himself by the pond he met commander Fige at, once more Fige met the young bounty hunter by the ponds tree.
Fige, "Well you've been given two options what will you pick"? Tatis exhaled to say, "She'll find someone better than me… she's strong with is a big difference between me and her. Sooner or later I'll find my self at the wrong end of a battle and I'll be glad I didn't hurt someone like I was". Fige didn't give Tatis a response the commander just dropped a bag by the young mans feet. Tatis opened the bag to find his armor and weapons, as Fige walked away he said, "There's a truck that takes trash into the desert for disposal around three in the morning". Taking the bag Tatis went back to the guest room to change but wrote two different letters with his extra time. One letter was to the two queens the other two the princess of Mara.
Catching a ride under the trash truck Tatis made it to the desert around five in the morning. There he used his gear to find Owl Man who was surprised to see the young man walk back on board his ship. Tatis, "Never was a ladies man…lets head back to the mansion I want to get to work already". Owl simply nodded and off they went to find more jobs for his young upstart. Back on Mara the princess had read Tatis letter but instead of ending her pursuit for the young hunters heart she wanted him even more. As she watched the sunrise over her planet Try'a knew that their paths would cross once more.
Two Year time skip
Now Tatis was truly a bounty hunter those that he worked for called him Red. For he always wore his signature red helmet and long scarf. Thanks to Owl's help Tatis had finally established his place in the galaxy. Right now Tatis was helping a group of smugglers fight their way past a Republic outpost. The smugglers were going to help a newly growing colony on the swamp moon of Pregrq. Tatis had upgraded his armor slightly adding thicker pieces and a pair of buster boots. Allowing him to walk along walls and jump must farther too. As their boats rounded a turn two Republic patrol ships were making their way down stream.
The soldiers shouted for the three ships of smugglers to surrender but they didn't know whom they were talking to. Pulling Breaking from his back Tatis used its high explosive rounds to pushed holes into the two patrol ships. The soldier were overwhelmed by the fire power Tatis used and some jumped to try to make it to the muddy trees. Some did make it to the trees but as smugglers were going to kill the fleeing soldier Tatis told the smugglers otherwise. With no more interrupting the smugglers made their delivery and chose to stay the night to drink and talk. Tatis simply walked around he wasn't too fond of drinking just yet.
As Tatis walked around the early night he heard a voice he had not heard in some time. Turning he saw his old childhood friend Tar ground with a slightly larger horn and a longer hair. Walking over to her Tar went on alert saying, "Can I help you"? Tatis, "Mind if we talk an old friend with silver hair asked me to find you". Tar never took her eyes off the red helmeted man tapping the window next to her three times a girl's voice responded saying it was ok to come inside. Tar opened the door for Tatis who went in but as the door close Tatis was met by seven blaster trained on him. Turning he saw Tar close the door and locking it. Tatis chuckled then went into an all out laugh.
Tatis looked to see a much older Laz also with a slightly larger horn and cleanly cut beard. Tatis, "Well is this anyway to say hi to and old friend". In his sentence Tatis took off his helmet revealing to the two who he was. Tar gave Tatis a hug as Laz shook his hand. Laz "Shit me and my cousins almost shot you". Tatis, "Glad you didn't mind if we catch up"? Laz, "Of course who wouldn't want to hear a story or two from Red the infamous bounty hunter"? And just like that everyone gather to hear what the young man from Flernz was doing with his life. Tatis told them how he braved the hell dungeon of G to acquire his ability over fire. Then how he stormed a Republic carrier ship to help several gangsters escape.
Tatis, "So as two of the gangsters were jumping into an escape pod one guy turns to see a soldiers blaster right between his eyes. You could tell the guys heart sank from how he looked from the soldier right down the blaster barrel. But wouldn't you it the blaster jams and this guy who just looked as if he was ready to meet his maker. Howls like a half mad banshee and started beating the soldier with his own blaster"! All of Laz and Tar's cousins listened and laughed at the amazing life Tatis had had since he left their old home. But after their cousins called it a night Tar and Laz stayed awake to ask Tatis more about what's he's been up too. Likewise Tatis was equally curious as to how the two ended up here.
Tatis, "Weren't you two going off somewhere else why are you here"? Tar, "Our uncle died leaving all of our cousins on their own. As you saw only seven of them can hold a blaster and they're only between eleven and fourteen. We came here hoping to help them get a better start on life. Pregrq has some good herds and game to hunt. But the damn Republic taxes are keeping things to a near crawl. Sure the smugglers come by every now and then but its not enough". Tatis didn't need anything else he simply said, "Expect a second shipment to come by in the morning". With that Tatis grabbed any smuggler that wasn't drunk off their ass and told them he had a second job for them.
One smuggler questioned if they should take the job but when Tatis drop the first half of the payment. The smugglers stopping questioning and grabbed their stuff. It didn't take the band of twelve to find the Republic outpost it was so bright that it was hard to miss. Throwing several smoke bombs the group stormed the outpost. The attack surprised the Republic soldier but for Tatis this wasn't just a job it was for his friends and his way of paying back the kindness they had showed him when he was younger. Changing his helmets sights to inferred Tatis shot soldier after solder not bothering to stay in cover for very long.
As the fighting continued the soldier took up a formation by the outposts main entrance. Tatis, "Incendiary". With the signature indicating beep Tatis fire three shots of hell fire from Breaker. As the rounds hit an arch they separated into multiple streams of fireballs. Some tried to run but in the end they met their end by blaster fire. The soldier inside the outpost tried to lock the doors but using the high explosives Tatis made his group their own entrance. As the group stormed the outpost they once more continued their battle in exchanging blast after blast with the Republic forces. As the group made their way through the outpost they shot anyone who wanted to try and fight them. As the group cleaned up the remaining soldiers surrendered saying they won't fight anymore.
Tatis looked over the bond soldier as he walked in front of them he said, "Don't worry we won't kill you but you will leave this planet and you. Won't. Come. Back. This planet doesn't need you thugs trying to hold back good hard working people for getting some where in life. But all the medicine, food, and other various supplies here will go back to the people. Your Republic is too corrupt and the wars that they spark is just even more indication as to how foolish they are. I have allies here and if they inform me of you or any other like you coming back. I'll stop by to remind you what fear really is". Training Breaker to one of the soldier's chest he shot a stun round causing the soldier to convulse and twitch in pain.
With the supplies on their boat Tatis watched as the ship Republic ship flew off. Tatis turned to the smugglers paying them and saying, "I need you all to make more supplies drops here every two cycles. And get some guy's to watch guard over the colony for a while until the people here get on their feet". Paying the lead smuggler for additional support Tatis then had them escort him back to his ship. His ship was a two-setter runner with a small space to sleep in and eat. As his ship passed the atmosphere he received a message from Walter. Tatis, "Hey Walter just finishing up on Pregrq and heading back for another job". Walter, "No need this one was sent to you personally. Someone on Coruscant level 2559 I'll send the rest of the information now".
Tatis thanked Walter and made his way to Coruscant. Wrapping his scarf around his entire head he then changed the color to blue so no one would recognize him. Seeing as now even the Republic had a bounty on Red the bounty hunter. Making his way to the lower levels Tatis found the meeting area he was told to wait at. Within a few minutes of arriving a hooded man walked up to him. Tatis was on edge he knew of only the Jedi wearing those kinds of robes. Tatis and his hooded contact came into a room were they could talk. With the room secured his contact removed their hood revealing her teal skin and her pink hair. But what stood out the most to Tatis was hear amber yellow eyes and the weapon on her belt.
Tatis, "Sorry don't do deal with Jedi's". The woman waved it off saying, "I'm no Jedi I'm a Sith and you are Tatis. The young man that killed a Jedi few years ago don't worry I don't plan to expose your identity or how I found out about you. Just know I have a job for you and on completing it you will be a very wealthy man". Tatis chewed over what he knew Jedi's were one thing but the Sith were as corrupt as they came. They were known to kill one another to get ahead if needed. Tatis, "I'm listening and if I don't like what I hear I'm gone". Sith, "The Jedi have a secret meditation groove on Teliz get into the groove and secure a pendent that they just acquired.
" Once you have the pendent and we'll have more work for you young hunter. Here's you down payment the rest is when the jobs complete". Tatis opened the case to see that both halves of the case were lined with credits. Feeling excited he said, "All I have to do is steal a pendent from a groove. Either the Jedi have lost their touch at secrecy or you Sith are really good at finding stuff out. Either way I'll be back when the jobs done". Taking his leave Tatis set his ship for Teliz.
