After his success at helping the pirate Frugt the Sith had Tatis run a few more jobs for them. On completion of every job Tatis was overjoyed at what they paid. But Tatis stayed on alert waiting for them or someone they hired to try and kill him. Owl was on edge but he did voice his opinion like Ultra did. Ultra, "Tatis are you crazy working for the Sith? Or do you really have a dead wish"? Tatis sat in the large leather couch drinking some coffee to say, "She knows who I am? And given any reason will reveal that to the Republic and everyone that knows I work for Owl under the table will…" Walter stepped in an finished the sentence," They will call for Owl to eliminate young mister Tatis lady Ultra".
Ultra argued that she already knew that but Owl spoke next. Owl, "Ultra if they know who Tatis is under that helmet that's even more concerning. Tatis said he only took his helmet off one other time since his capture on Mara. But his old friends had secured their home before he did remove his helmet. Either someone here had pieced together thing's or there is a spy agent for the Sith in the Organization"? Tatis, "It makes sense when you think about it… the Sith have agents placed in political even Jedi positions with no one knowing. Placing an agent or two on G and the Organization wouldn't be too hard".
Owl, "For the time being keep tabs on the Sith, Ultra and myself will investigate the crime families of G". Nodding Tatis refueled his ship and left to met for another Sith job. Heading to meet his contact Tatis was hailed on a private channel. Tatis, "Who is this"? Voice, "This is Frugt Red I calling to payback a favor I owe. Be careful the Sith won't listen on this job". With the calls end Tatis set his ship to autopilot and cloaked its approach to the volcanic and mining planet called Ru'lastic. Walking to the back of his ship Tatis reloaded his equipment and checked his armor upgrades. Thanks to the Z-skeleton gear he grabbed from the Groove his strength and energy when using the skeleton gear was increased significantly. Chambering a new cell into Creed and his other weapons Tatis got dressed.
With the Z-skeleton secured going through his armor to connect to the skeleton gear. Tatis got ready fast and went off to meet his contact. Tatis found the contact his female Sith employer told him. She was human with red hair and midnight skin. Woman, "So Red is it, you and I will wait along the outer portions of this relic site. We need to get into the main chambers to grab a certain something for my friend that you work for. Also we have a nice distraction thanks to the workers on strike. Apparently a few of them hired some mercenaries to take out the Republic troops station here". Tatis, "It'll be an easy snatch and run then. But first we need to stir up the workers". The female Sith smiled and told Tatis to follow as they walked to find a good overlook point.
Tatis zoomed into the main gates of the mines to see a large group of people shouting. Tatis, "Ok we have two ways to tackle this. But for now I suggest we confuse the people make them think the mines security is setting them up". Sith, "How do you plan to accomplish that"? Tatis, "Easy I'm going down there". Zooming in on a security officer Tatis used his Z-skeleton to mimic the officer's outfit and took out a data pad. Cloaking himself Tatis made his way down to the one of the road along the mine and made his way to the front of the crowd. Using his helmets speaker Tatis de-cloaked. One person threw a can of some liquid at him Tatis was glad it missed. Tatis, "Hey I'm on your side look I have something here you might want to see". Show the leaders the forged information the leader became irrational. Hacking into the mines doors Tatis opened them letting the workers swarm into the mines. Smirking as the crowd ran past him Tatis stood back and waited.
Soon the female Sith joined Tatis and they both walked to a side passage way. Walking down the passage Tatis lite up his shoulder pieces to make the trip a little easier. Finding the passage blocked Tatis told the Sith to back up. Tatis, "High Ex". As the explosive round left Breakers barrel the resulting explosions punched clean through the stones blocking the path. Walking forward Tatis was happy for once the job was going to be easy instead of a pain in the neck. Following the path it came to and end right where they need to be. Sith, "Well there's our prize but today wasn't your day". Turning Tatis felt the harsh burn of a pressured plasma round hitting his stomach. Rolling behind cover Tatis felt his blood flow from the wound into his cupped hand. Sith, "Sorry to say Red but you have outlived your usefulness to us. And seeing as you know too much you're going to die in these mines".
She turned to seven mercenaries saying, "Two thousand credits to whoever kills him and brings me his sword. It'll look nice on my wall". With that the Sith walked off and Tatis couldn't believe he walked into a trap. Tatis switched his weapons and fired an incendiary round straight behind him. As the smoke from the burning flames filled the tunnel Tatis switched the vision of his helmet to inferred. Firing a stream of rapid shots at the ceiling Tatis collapsed some of the tunnel. Slipping down another passage Tatis began to scan the communications going in and out the mines. Tatis found that the seven merc's had the whole mine on lockdown. Using his field kit Tatis sealed the wound and made his way down another mineshaft.
After ten minutes of walking Tatis was bashed into a wall. Holding his hand up the merc attacking him sent five strong fists into Tatis ribs. Tatis head butted the merc and pushed him into the opposing wall. Shooting two shots into the merc's stomach the merc refused to stay down. Forcing Tatis back to his feet the merc carried him over the rails of passage. Smashing his leg, shoulder, and back against anything that was on the way down. Tatis found himself groaning at the pain. Looking over the saw the merc's face smashed in against a rock. Tatis smirked even gave a little chuckle before he took two painkillers and a shot of gel heal for most of the pain. Tatis, "One dead six left to kiss the reaper".
Feeling his leg Tatis found his knee was a little out of place. Popping it back Tatis stood up with a limp and made his way down another passage. Before he left Tatis took the merc's picture for later. Thanks to the Z-skeleton most of the pain didn't hinder him from moving it just hurt. Holstering Breaker Tatis pulled Justice and began his advance deeper into the mines. Turning down another passage Tatis just missed triggering a trip wire. Looking along the passage the whole thing had trip wires and it worried Tatis of who he would run into next. Try as he did Tatis still tripped a trap causing an explosive to go off. When the smoke cleared Tatis heard the load howl of a Smug. They were known for not liking anything that wanders too close to its home. But seeing as this is a mining planet they wouldn't be able to live there.
Tatis pressed forward but once clear of the traps the Smug's jumped him. One bit into his shin while the other bit into his Z-skeleton joint. Lighting his hands on fire Tatis burned the one biting his joint then shot the other clear through the head. Tatis looked up to see a merc rifle trained on his head. Merc, "Your dead Red". Tatis, "Oh mind looking to your right". Looking at the passageway the merc saw one string leaving from the passage. Following it ended right at Tatis foot. Giving it a tug Tatis lite the whole passage in a high explosive fireball. Tatis absorbed most of the fire and looked over at the merc. He was burnt to a crisp and still gasping for breath. Taking his knife Tatis stabbed the merc in the back of the neck and scanned his blood for later. Sighing Tatis felt his neck yet another burn to add to the ones he already had.
Turning Tatis had a choice go down the right or left passage. Tatis, "Screw it going to the left never messed me up before why should it now right"? As Tatis traveled on he could feel the pain bucking at him and it was bad. Turning Tatis dodged a curved axe to see a purple skinned Twi'lek trying to pull the axe free. Swinging wildly with another axe Tatis spun low punching the Twi'lek's knee from the side and shoving his blaster into the guy's mouth. Firing without a second thought the merc was dead and Tatis took another painkiller. Sliding down a slop Tatis turned as he heard foots steps along another passage. Seeing it was the only way to go Tatis backed up behind the steaming air ducts. Seeing four new figures three went off back down the passage Tatis came from while another stood guard.
Slowly over taking the merc's position Tatis pressed his blaster to the back of the girl's head. Tatis, "One word and you die". Girl, "We work here idiot we want you out". Looking closer Tatis saw that she wasn't a merc but a mineworker. Tatis backed up asking, "You know a way out of here"? Girl, "Yeah in a body bag… he's back at the junction". Tatis shot two rounds in the girl's chest and made a run for it. Finding another machining site Tatis could hear wind. Looking around Tatis saw five armed goons and several regular workers. Tatis shot several times saying, "Get lost or die". The goons opened fire on Tatis who simple switched the firing rate for his blaster and killed three easily. Looking around Tatis ducked behind some metal pieces as the three thugs from before came into the room.
Switching his helmet sight Tatis threw two smoke grenades and waited for the room to fill. Pulling Creed Tatis guts two of the thugs that tried to stay together. The last one radio for help at the third digging room. Tatis slashed along the guys back and stabbed through his sternum. With another three dead Tatis ran off to find another way out. Soon Tatis helmet was going crazy sensing various chemicals in the air. Tatis, "SHIT"! At that a spark from another location caused a good chuck of the mine to be caught in a fireball. Tatis skeleton gear couldn't contain it all and it blasted through some of his armor. Feeling the heat pressing on his clothes Tatis tried to get away. For how long he walked he didn't know but Tatis soon came to a stop when the flames finally began to die. Looking up Tatis was outside the mines and he was really tired.
Calling his ship Tatis made it out of the system and jumped to the closet planet he could. But Tatis didn't predict a certain Sith sneaking on board his ship. The coordinates Tatis jumped to were slowly winding down. But he felt a slight shiver until the Sith finally spoke. Sith, "I can't believe those two still failed to kill you… your a mere child pretending to be something he's not". Tatis, "Ask all the dead bodies I left in those mines they'll tell you". Hearing the buzz from the Sith's lightsaber Tatis tapped Justice along his hip. Sith, "Are you fast enough boy"? Tatis, "Are you ready to die Sith"? Ducking under the first few swing didn't stop the Sith's last swing from cutting deep into his inner thigh. Tatis dropped Justice right at the Sith's feet who promptly picked it up. Sith, "No hard feeling right my friend"? Tatis, "Sure".
Chuckling under his helmet Tatis watched as the Sith failed to fire his blaster. The small screen on the blaster saying DNA match fail. With that a small implosion destroyed the blaster along with the Sith's hand and forearm. Tatis stood up and pulled his second blaster. Tatis, "Bunch of assholes". Putting two from Punisher into the Sith's chest Tatis looked for any tracking devises. Finding none slumped into the pilots seat and looked as the lights on his communications signaled a radio hail. Opening the channel Tatis saw a Surian warrior come onto the screen. Surian, "State why you have entered our system unknown vessel or be shot down". Tatis, "I'm a friend here to see the queen of Sura… Tell her that the hunter with silver hair is still alive". With that Tatis let his ship dock with the Surian ships. All he heard were shouts and worried voices coming from close by. It wasn't long before they ended and he was hearing the lullaby that his long lost mother once sang for him.
