When Lily awoke, it was as if she were in a dream. She didn't know where she was, how she had gotten there, or why she wasn't at home in bed with Scorpius. She stood up, feeling really dizzy, having to use the wall beside her for support. And it also didn't help that she had a massive headache. As what had happened to her slowly came back, she turned around and found, to her horror, a bloody and battered looking Scorpius, laying unconcious behind her, "Scorpius!" She yelled as she made her way over to him collapsing on her knees beside him. She sat him up against the wall and begun to asses the damage. Large wound on the forehead, as if he had been struck by something, and bruises all over his face and arms. She held his face in her hands, "Scorpius, wake up baby," she pleaded with him, tears threatening to pour out of her eyes, "Please," she whispered quietly as the tears started flowing down her face.

"L . . Lily?" Scorpius said weakly, slowly opening up his eyes to her smile.

Lily let out a small, relieved laugh as she looked into Scorpius' eyes, still holding his face, "You're gonna be okay, baby, just let me get my wand," Lily began looking for wand in her pockets and on the floor, but it was nowhere to be seen, and she began to freak out, getting more and more anxious by the second, "Where the hell is my damn -"

"Looking for something, Potter?" An all too familiar voice asked behind her.

Lily furiously turned around to face Lorcan Scamander, and stood up and ran towards him, shoving him to the ground, "What have you done to my fiance, you bloody bastard?!" She demanded, fuming.

Lorcan stood back up, glaring at Lily, "You should not have done that," he warned, before striking her on the side of the head, causing her to plummet to the ground before he drew his wand.

"Lily!" Scorpius screamed in horror, standing up, and limping over to his injured wife laying on the ground, he sat the disoriented girl up against the wall, stroking her hair and whispering to her then looking at Lorcan pleadingly, "Lorcan, why are you doing this? By doing this, you're throwing your whole life away! Just think about it, please just let us go. Know one will know about this."

Lorcan shook his head with an evil grin on his face that gave Scorpius knots in his stomach. Lorcan picked up Scorpius by the collar, then dug harshly pushed his wand into his throat, causing him to gulp, "I've only just begun with you, Malfoy, and if you think -"

"Please, Lorcan," Lily begged weakly, looking at him with pleading eye, "Do whatever you want with me, but please, please do not hurt him."

Lorcan though about this momentarily. Watching Scorpius just sit there helpless while being forced to watch Lily go through agony would be get his point across more than himself just hurting scorpius directly. So, Lorcan nodded and simply dropped Scorpius on the floor, used a spell to tie him up, and set him against the wall, "Here, you'll have a front row seat," he sneered at Scorpius, and he went picked up Lily by her shirt.

Though Lily wanted to put up a fight, especially as she looked to a horrified, tear stricken Scorpius, but she couldn't, because she knew if she even stepped out of line, that it would be Scorpius who suffered the wrath of it. Though she hated Lorcan immensely, especially right now, she knew there was something mentally wrong with him, and that he needed help, and she wanted to tell him that, but she knew if she said a word, that it could hurt Scorpius, and she couldn't let that happen; she would take whatever was coming with a brave face, but then she looked down at her stomach; her babies. How could she let something bad happen to her babies? She looked to the wall; there was a window, and she was sure they were in some tree house. If she could just push Lorcan out of it. That's when she kicked Lorcan where it counts, shoved him back, which didn't send him out the window, but sent him toppling over giving her just enough time to pick up her wand and unbind Scorpius.

Just as Scorpius scrambled to his face, Lorcan was standing up, he yanked Lily over to him, "If i cant have you, no one will," he growled as he jumped out the window, dragging Lily along with him down the 100 foot drop.

"Lily!" Scorpius screamed in terror as he watched his pregnant finace fall out a window, "That has to be a 100 foot drop," he murmered frantically searching for the exit, while at the same time sending a patronus to Albus, James, and Harry. When he finally found the hidden door underneath the carpet, he fumbled with the latches, his hands shaking horribly as he tried to fight back the tears while he rushed down the ladder, and the stumbled over to two lifeless looking bodies. As soon as he got close enough, he could immeditaley see that Lorcan was dead. It was a hidesous sight, appeared as he'd broken his neck. But Scorpius shook it off, he really didn't care, especially not at the moment. He ran over to Lily, and his heart sunk at the sight of her. She was bleeding through her nose, her head was cracked open, and there was just blood everywhere. He fell to his knees beside her, numb, frozen, unable to move, as all of the life has just been sucked out of him. "Lily," was all he could manage to croak out, that's when he heard a loud crack beside him, and he looked over, "Al," he whimpered apologetically to the pale, limp boy standing behind him, "I'm so sorry i let this happen."

Lilys eyes kept opening and closing, as she frequently drifted in and out of conciousness, and she got bits and peices of what was happening around her. Even through her blurry vision, she looked up to find Albus carrying her as he and Scorpius burst through the door of , Scorpius kissing her forehead and saying something she couldn't quite make out before her world turned black again. And the next time she came to, all she saw were white walls rushing by, and Albus yelling at her to stay with him, then fading away again.

The next morning, Scorpius, Albus, James, Harry, Ginny, Ron, Hermione, Rose, and Hugo all sat in Lilys room, crammed by her side with bloodshut eyes. Everyone had cried some tears last night, especially when they were told that one of her babies were dead. The healers told them to be grateful that Lily was even alive, and that it was almost impossible for one of the babies to survive and they didn't understand how it happened, but that really didn't help. She had lost her little boy, and she would be devastated beyond belief when she woke up to that. And the worst part, was they wouldn't know if Lily had any permanant damage until she woke up, and it there was almost a 100% chance of her baby girl being born with some sort of imparment.

" I just want her to wake up," Scorpius whispered, talking to himself more than anybody, squeezing Lilys' hand, then letting a tear fall down his face, "How could i have let this happen?"

Ginny put her hand on Scorpius' shoulder gently, "Sweetheart, this is not you fault, there was nothing you could have done," she told him, then sadly looking at her daughter, who was always so bright, feisty, and full of life, just laying there looking sick, helpless, and broken.

Scorpius shook his head as he started to cry again, and then was embraced by Ginny, who held him tightly as he cried, "Shh, Scorpius, everything's going to be okay," she assured him.

That's when Lily started to come around for the first time since she'd been whisked off by healers last night. Her eyes opened slowly, and she gazed all around her, immediately recognizing where she was, but not how she got there; she'd gotten a severe head injury last night. Her gaze stopped on Scorpius' miserable looking face, "Scorp, are you okay?" she asked softly, evidently very concerned about him, looking up at his forehead, which, despite his protests, had been healed and bandaged.

Scorpius bit his lip as it began to quiver, and kissed Lily softly on the cheek, "Don't worry about me, love," he told her gently, blinking away tears from his eyes.

"Glad you decided to join us," James teased, grabbing her free hand and giving it a light squeeze, "You scared the living daylights out of all of us last night, baby sis. Isn't that right, Al?"

But Albus didn't say a word as he sat in the corner of the room, the only one not trying to squeeze by Lilys side. He was so traumatized by last night, that he hadn't moved from that spot or said a word since he'd been shooed away by the other healers to let the more advanced ones care for Lily. Memories of last night he'd been suppressing seeped back into his mind.

"I'm so sorry i let this happen," Scorpius told Albus as he'd stood there, looking at what he thought was his dead baby sister.

"Is this some kind of sick joke?" Croaked Albus, seriously convinced that this was not real; but he didn't need an answer when he caught sight of an obviously dead Lorcans body, "Oh my god," he cried, tears flooding down his face as he fell to his knees, "No, no no no no!" he screamed, shoving Scorpius out of the way and scrambling to Lilys side, shaking her gently by the shoulders, "Lils, wake up!" he pleaded with her, checking for a pulse that he was having trouble finding until he came across a very, very weak one. "Scorpius!" He snapped, as he picked Lily up in his arms, "We need to get her to mungos, now!"

Lily looked up at Albus as he picked her up, this was the first time he'd come around since she'd fell, "Al," she croaked, barley audible.

Albus looked down as he ran, surprisingly to find Lily struggling to keep her eyes open, "Just stay with me, sis, okay, i need you to stay, can you do that for your old brother?"

Lily nodded, starting to slip away again, "Am i dying?"

Albus bit his lip and fought back the tears as he plowed through the doors of , "No, i won't let that happen," he whispered back to her.

Scorpius quickly kissed her cheek as Albus ran away with her and shouted, "Dont leave me Lils!" Then Albus looked back quickly to find him on the ground, on his knees, crying hysterically.

As soon as Albus got back to the healing rooms, Lily was taken from him and he was told to go, since he was technically still in training for another year and this was such a serious case. The last thing he'd heard a healer say before the door slammed infront of him was, "I don't think she's going to make it.

"Al?" Lily asked gently, looking back to him, wanting nothing more than to wrap her arms around her terrified looking brother, "Come here, you need a hug."

Albus couldn't help but bursting into tears as he made his way to his sister and embraced her in a tight, but gentle hug as he cried into her shoulder, never wanting to let go of the baby sister that he almost lost.
