Teana walked over to the faucet trying to rinse her mouth of the horrid smell of the remains of a meal that had come back up. Throwing up was not fun. She also brushed her teeth in an effort to have the feeling of cleanliness in her mouth return to her.

She put her hand on her head leaning against the wall. Pregnancy was not all that it was worked up to be. She put her hand on the barely visible bulge on her stomach. She was three months pregnant already. Isis was the only one who knew about it. The pregnancy made sense now that she thought about it. Teana was too engrossed in everything that happened in those months to take notice of what she was missing.

Teana was indeed pregnant and she would have to announce it. She didn't know why she feared telling everyone. A royal birth and pregnancy was something celebrated. Teana loved children, but becoming a mother was another story. Isis had tried to comfort her. Teana knew she had to reveal this secret soon.

**FLASHBACK***

"Princess, have you told your sire of this news yet?" Teana shook her head in reply. Isis squinted her eyes as if trying to understand Teana's behavior. They were presently seated together in privacy of Isis' chambers and Isis reached out for the younger Princess' hand. "What is it that you fear? Atem shall be overjoyed. Egypt will be overjoyed! A new heir!"

Teana tilted her head and forced a smile. "A new heir there shall be, but such occasion shall make me a mother. That is what I fear, motherhood. What say I cannot be a good mother? What say I am unable to teach my son or discipline him correctly?"

"My Princess, you should not worry. You are a Princess of Egypt now. You shall have servants and caretakers all in the palace to help you with your child. Atem will help you too. I do believe he will try his greatest to be of assistance."

Teana bit her lip and nodded. "Thank you Isis."

Isis smiled at the younger girl. "You are wel..." She gasped as Teana embraced her, "wel...come." Teana held on to Isis tightly and Isis was surprised at the girl's action, although she returned the hug.

Teana let go. "I shall take my leave now." She said as she smiled and walked away.

***Flashback Ends***

Teana frowned and changed into her nightgown. She sighed and sat down on the bed. She was unsure how to go about this. 'Atem, I am pregnant.' She wondered if she said it like that, what Atem's reaction would be.

Teana gave a sharp gasp as she head the door open. Atem entered their room. Teana put her hand to her chest. 'Stop being so nervous!' She told herself.

"Are you alright?" Atem asked her with worry.

"Sorry, you just took me by surprise."

It looked like Atem was contemplating saying something, but he just shook his head and said, "Alright."

As he removed his own jewelry, he asked if Teana was feeling better.

"A little." She responded uneasily. Then she added, "Isis found out what was making me feel sick."

Atem turned to look at her widening his eyes. "She did?" Teana nodded her head. "What is it then?" He said eagerly walking towards Teana.

"I shall tell you, but I rather you be prepared for bed first." She said. She eyed Atem and Atem noticed what she was referring. He still had one earring on.

He smiled and proceeded to take off the earring, undress and wear his attire for bed. He quickly climbed into bed next to his wife anxiously looking at her for an explanation. He grabbed her hand. "What did Isis, say?" He asked.

Teana gulped. "The reason, well the reason that I have not been feeling well is not because I am exactly ill. It is because of another reason..."

Atem looked at raising his eyebrows as if saying 'Then what?'

"Isis said that I am... I am with...child..." She breathed out. "Your child..." She finished at last closing her eyes being afraid of seeing Atem's reaction. Curiosity got the best of her as she took a peek. Atem had a pouted face and he was blinking furiously. Teana could have laughed if she wasn't so scared of what Atem was going to say.

"You are with child?" He asked finally in awe.

"Yes..."

"That is wonderful!" He exclaimed taking both of Teana's hand and squeezing them. "I am going to be a father!"

Teana finally smiled, pleased at Atem's response and then even more so surprised when Atem hugged her as she had done to Isis. Teana was taken aback by Atem's behavior. Atem wasn't usually as spontaneous.

"You are happy?" She asked.

"Yes of course I am!" He beamed."This of course explains so much!" Teana squinted her eyes slightly and pointed her lips at him. "It explains your dramatic increase in appetite!"

"What!?" Teana smacked his arm.

"Ow." Atem frowned.

Teana smirked. "That is what you get!"

Atem rolled his eyes. "I am going to be a father!" Teana laughed with him. "I feel as if this has been etched into my brain my whole life and now it is actually happening!" He shook his head. "Get married, produce the next heir and carry on the legacy! It is actually happening!" He said in disbelief. Teana shook her head looking up. "Does Isis know the gender of the child?" He asked.

Teana shook her head. "No, not yet. As long as she or he is healthy I shall be happy. We can always have more children if I do not give you a son this time."

Atem nodded. "It is fine. I must tell Mana and Mahad...and Jono!" He exclaimed, getting out of bed.

Teana giggled. "Now? Looking like that?"

Atem looked down. "Oh." He was wearing his sleeping attire which just included a plain kilt and no upper garments. "Tomorrow then." He said climbing back into bed.

Teana giggled once more. This was much better than what she expected. Atem was genuinely glad. 'Why wouldn't he be? He is a Prince, who is told from an early age that one of his goals in life is to produce the next heir!' Teana wished she thought of that before.

Teana warmly smiled at Atem as settled back into bed. Atem returned her smile and then leaned in to kiss her lips. Teana sighed leaning into the kiss and letting herself be pulled closer to Atem. She would never ever get enough of the taste of his lips. They were always so soft... It was a while later, and many kisses later, that Teana and Atem retreated back to cuddle back into their blankets and with each other. Teana slept soundly now. Her husband was content and so she was content.

So the secret has been revealed! Dun-dun-dun. Not a big deal. Teana was just over-reacting way too much. She realizes how silly she was acting now that's she's told. She thinks it's going be okay now thanks to speaking to Isis and Atem. She'll have everyone's support anyways. In other news... I'm doing pretty good with updating aren't I now? Updates are likely to be Fridays or Saturdays (Sundays only if I'm unable to update the other two days) I hope I can keep it that way! :)
